Favorite band?

What is everyone’s favorite band? I’ll go first Slipknot. (I meant to put this in another chat I’m sorry! Still learning it won’t let me delete either…)

I don't really have a single favorite band, but I do have a list of bands that I listen to

Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Municipal Waste, Power Trip, Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Sodom, S.O.D (Stormtroopers Of Death), D.R.I (Dirty Rotten Imbeciles), Dead Kennedys, The Misfits, Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, Venom, Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Grim Reaper, Diamond Head, Angel Witch, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Judas Priest, Rainbow, Dio, Manowar, Blind Guardian, Helloween, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Entombed, Obituary, Gojira, Amon Amarth, Alice In Chains, Alestorm, Danzig, Type O Negative, Pentagram, Cathedral, Witchfinder General, Candlemass, Sleep, Electric Wizard, Acid Witch, Acid Bath, White Zombie, Pantera

Those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I could list more, but that would take all night (it's, like, 5:08 AM where I'm at right now) and I don't have the brain power to memorize every single band I listen to. My playlist is a whole clusterfuck of different metal bands and subgenres, but my taste leans more towards older styles of metal ('90s is the most recent I'll go, but my taste is mostly late '70s/early '80s metal and rock)

Difficult to nail down just the one, but circling around for the title are: Joy Division, Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Type O Negative and whichever band de jure I've currently spammed myself in echolalia with.

Of all time? For me, Dire Straits.

Others I like listening to are many, including Genesis, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, ELO.

Okay, I admit my tastes in music tend to be older. I just don't find a lot of modern music to be as entertaining.

This is always such a tough question.

Even if I would go based on the subgenres alone nailing down TOP 5 might be doable, but generally just picking one above everything else is almost impossible.

Same here. When it comes to metal, I tend to lean more towards older styles since modern metal sounds too polished and not as creative to me

My list of favorite bands is long so I will go with the current favored band right now. Parkway Drive. For some reason the last couple of months they have scratched that itch in my brain just right. It will jump to another band soon enough and that one will become my newest favored band.

A fine collection and especially Money ain't for nothing

Been there with them since they released their first EP in 2006 and now almost 20 years later when they're calling it a day.

Honourable Mentions:
All Time Low, Green Day, Blink 182, Linkin Park, Paramore and many others.
