If I Didn't Care (PoisonousIvee/Mr.Aznable)

"U-Uh...right!!" He turned the gun and fired, shooting up the whole side of the plane from nose to tail.

The plane’s landing gear gave out, and Raven steered out of the way as the aircraft dug it’s wing into the sand and skidded to a halt, small fires breaking out. “Come on, come on!” She yelled as she grabbed her pistol and headed towards the wreck.

She swept through and shot two of the soldiers exiting the plane. “Oh, where oh where, has my client gone?” She called.

"Raven, goddammit, don't be stupid!" Derek yelled and grabbed her as a bullet hit the wall beside her, pulling her to the ground.

She gasped. “That hurt, damn you!” She yelled. She flipped the selector switch on her pistol, letting loose a burst of automatic fire over the seats towards the incoming fire.

"Good, I'm glad it hurt!" Derek hissed.
"Devushka Jones! There is no need for hurt feelings!" Daniil called.

“Shut up you backstabber!” She yelled as she reloaded, and fired in the direction of the voice. “I cover, you run.” She told Derek.

"Are you insane...?!" Derek hissed, "I'll get shot either way!"
"You want the Emerald Scarab so nad you would risk the life of a woman, Professor Morgan?" Daniil called. Derek scowled.
"No. Just mine."

“I’m a better shot than you just trust me with this.” She said quietly. She waited for Daniil to continue monologuing for a few moments before she nodded to Derek, and popped up to fire a few shots at him, winging the Russian.

She kept Daniil covered, and made sure to keep an eye out for any approaching guards. Damn him, being handsome.

Daniil and Derek fought for a moment over the gun before Derek punched him hard in the jaw, catching him as he recoiled and pulled him back to punch him again.

The way his brow knit and his jaw clenched, the fire in his eyes as he pinned Daniil down and beat him until his knuckles split.

She’d only seen his face like that once before, and the circumstances were vastly different. She cleared her throat and began to look around the plane for Daniil’s luggage, or lock boxes, anything that would house the scarab. “We need to find it and get going before the fire spreads to the fuel tanks..!” She said.

His fist froze mid air and he looked over, "Oh...yeah..." He agreed and shot up, moving to look through every box he could with her. Eventually, he found it; pulling the scarab from a small lockbox before grabbing her wrist and dragging her from the plane.

She gasped and ran with him as the plane began to burst into flames. She got back in the truck with him and the two of them began to drive off.

Derek looked the scarab over silently as she drove, "Incredible. To think, this was used in so many rituals. Healing, divination, passage for the dead..."

She took a look every now and again, nodding. “What do you think its composition is? It looks.. like some kind of gem I’ve never seen..”

"It looks like an emerald, but I'm not sure. Once I get it back to the college, I'll know for sure." He replied.

She nodded. “Let me know what you find.. it’s not like any emerald I’ve ever seen.. that, and I want to know how much money I just let go.”

"Professor!!" Some of the guides he had come to the site with were panicked that he had gone missing and were overwhelmed when he returned, "What happened?!"
"It's a long story..." Derek replied as he climbed out of the car, "but we did it. This is the tomb we were looking for...!"
