"look I'll pay it and then you can pay me back as you have the money how does that sound?" this way she wasn't taking charity as she would be paying him back when she had the funds to do so
 
Skye was just stating that it would be fine. She was then commenting that it was nearly 6 grand for just the paying the rest of the lease months and there were a few other fees as well. Honestly the landlord seemed like a sketchy person so she could tell that she would probably end up getting scammed anyways. And badly.
 
Sky looked at her "no its not fine I would rather be out of pocket six grand then have your brother find out you lived her and have to talk him down"
 
Skye was just shaking her head and commenting that it would be fine, that she would just stay until her lease was up.
 
"no Skye I am not letting you if you want to find a better place rather then stay with me that is fine but your moving out of here" Sky looked at her and his tone left no room for argument
 
Sky looked at her "and your going to spend a large time of it either with me or your brother while you recover why pay on a place that you won't be in"
 
It wasn't long before they were heading into the building and up towards her apartment. Yet as they got up there her landlord seemed to be there and was instantly getting on Skye's case about something. Not being there much evidently - weird thing to be upset at a person about ultimately especially since he was getting paid by her still. "Also your rent for this month is now three days late." he was speaking in a harsh voice. Oh yeah.... That was suppose to be paid... Ironically the same day that they had been taken. She definitely tried to explain but it was evident that he wasn't wanting to listen at all.
 
The landlord was just looking over and just blatantly stating that it wasn't an excuse to not pay rent. Who would have figured that he would be calling his badge fake, commenting that they saw fake police badges all the time. Things did take a sour turn when Skye was trying to intervene and calm the situation, which only had the man pushing her away from them stating for her to just stay out of it. It was between the men. Skye did end up falling onto the ground rather harshly when that happened - although it was definitely her scream of pure pain that had anybody that was around wanting to know what the fuck was going on. Nope something had definitely gotten worse when she had fallen and the pain that she had been feeling seemed to almost quadruple, definitely not a good thing at all. It was actually bad enough that it was causing her to just suddenly pass out in the middle of the hallway.
 
Sky snapped at the man "I am a chief of police and if you hav issues with her having been in the hospital you can take it up with the departments lawyers" Sky then pulled out his phone and called for an ambulance before going to her side. after giving the dispatcher her address he took a deep breath and called Nicholas as the man would need to know she was heading back to the hospital.
 
The man definitely seemed more than concerned at her sudden scream, he hadn't pushed her that hard at all. And hearing that the man was the police chief definitely had him realizing his fuck up - but there was still the matter of rent. "Since rent wasn't paid then I'll serve an eviction notice. She would have 30 days to move her stuff out. But.. Given the circumstances I'll give her 60 days and waive all fees for breaking the contract." The man was speaking, definitely trying to suck up. It wouldn't be long before Nicolas was answering and speaking "Nicolas here. I only have a couple of minutes before I head into my meeting."
 
"Skye is going back to the hospital her back injury was aggravated and she is in some serious pain Ill text you with updates as I have them" Sky knew being away with his sister hurt would bother him but he had to let the man know
 
Nicolas was just pausing for a brief moment in his walking when he heard this news and there was a sharp sound from him. No he was definitely upset that he couldn't be with her, but he knew that she was in good hands. "Please keep me up to date. I should be back in town by Monday." he was speaking at that point in time. It was already Friday - although he was a few states over so there was a time zone difference - so it was a few hours later for him than it was for them. Sky would hear the familiar sounds of the ambulance as it was pulling up in front of the apartment complex and soon some paramedics were coming in with a stretcher.
 
“I will” Sky then hung up and went to address the paramedics to let them know about the break so that they could take the proper precautions
 
This had the paramedics nodding before they were heading back out to grab a few other things, to make sure that she was even more secure than what she would have been, even with the brace on. It wasn't long before they were getting her onto the stretcher and they were getting ready to get to the ambulance. There was one of them that was getting any information that he could from Sky about anything that she had taken recently - especially medications.
 
Sky listed all the medications and said he would meet them at the hospital with them for the doctors. Sky looked at the landlord and then spoke "you better hope she is ok or I will urge her to sue you to kingdom come" Sky then turned and walked out of the building with them as they took her to the ambulance
 
The paramedics were nodding their heads and soon they were getting her out to the ambulance so that they could get her to the hospital. It was evident that she was in quite a bit of pain - and that was even with the hospital grade pain killers in her system. It wasn't as though she had hit that max time before they wore off - she had only taken them about two hours ago. They weren't anywhere close to wearing off yet - which was another sign to him that something was definitely wrong. Majorly wrong. The landlord was just a bit pale at that point in time but he didn't say anything.
 
Sky headed to his car and then got in and followed the ambulance to the hospital so that he was with when she woke up. Sky hoped that nothing bad had happened and that the fracture hadn't gotten worse but he wasn't sure that that was the case
