Batgirl Begins (dbspock/WendyTheRed)

She blinked and looked at Chloe and Dave, blushing even more now. "Wait, I thought this was a fashion show? Like we'd wear fancy clothes and walk out like we were fashion models or something. A beauty pageant?" She cleared her throat. "Swimsuits? Do you even have some Chloe and I could wear?" She rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm sure Dave doesn't want to see us prancing around like that..." She gave him a hopeful look.

“We can do that too. “ Sam pointed out, getting more into the idea the more Babs objected to it. She hadn’t outright said no, so as long as it was just a matter of countering her excuses, Sam was willing to play along.

“And mom already offered you some swim suits. “ Sam reminded her, also turning to Dave with an expectant gaze when Babs dragged him into the discussion, clearly hoping for an ally.

And what kind of guy wouldn’t want to see three hot chicks in bikinis? Not that Dave could make that point, he already felt a bit awkward. But Babs teasing him earlier had given him a good excuse to play along. “If the choice is between that or braiding hair, bring on the fashion show. “ Dave said as he gave Sam a wink in return for her smile.

Barbara was most definitely feeling that the shoe was on the other foot as it felt like Sam and Dave were teaming up on her. She sighed and looked at Chloe then back at the other two. "Yeah, I guess your mom did make that offer. "

She turned to Dave when he decided to go with Sam's idea. She couldn't help muttering under her breath. "There's still sparring..."

But she finally smirked and gave a good natured shrug. "Alright. I can tell when I'm outnumbered. What do we want to start with?" She looked at the others, clearly deciding to give up on this battle. "Fashion model stuff? Swimsuits? Talent competition however the Hell we'd do that. Something else?" She looked at each of the other three to see what they'd have to say. "Maybe Dave as the judge should tell us what he wants us to do first?"

Chloe wasn't about to bail Babs out. She kind of enjoyed her new friend being put on the spot like that. Sam was standing close enough that she heard Babs muttered comment about sparring. "There's still the talent portion." Sam pointed out with a giggle.

Chloe laughed and threw an arm around Babs when she finally gave in. Of course the laughter only increased when Babs threw the ball back in Dave's court. But he didn't hesitate as long as she thought he might...clearly he'd been thinking about this since the discussion started. What he really wanted was to see Sam and Babs in bikinis (he'd known Chloe too long to think of her in those terms), but he couldn't outright tell them that. "How about fashion model stuff? That will give you some time to think about the talent portion. And maybe pick out the swimsuit."

Barbara rubbed her forehead. "I'm going to lose the talent portion, I don't have any talents I can show off here. At least, nothing I can think of." She shrugged and looked at the others. "I suppose that leaves the other categories?"

She nodded to Dave's suggestion. And slid her own arm around Chloe, her gaze turning then to Sam "Alright, so how do we want to do the fashion model stuff? Sam? Are we just going to invade your closet and try to make outfits or something? Do you have anything that would fit Chloe or I?"

"What about ace computer hacker?" Chloe chuckled as Babs wrapped her arm around her. "And there's always being a red head. Neither of us could compete with you on that. And why am I helping the enemy?" Chloe laughed.

Sam shruged. She didn't really have any idea how it woudl work either, but then she nodded at babs idea. "Sure...most creative costume or something." Sam agreed. "And yeah...we could raid my closet. And I have plenty of clothes that should fit you two."

Barbara couldn't help laughing with Chloe and shaking her head. "I'm not sure computer hacking is an exciting talent show thing. And how is being a red head a talent? I mean, if it is, I'd love to know, please tell me."

Barbara grinned at Sam's idea. "Creative costume. That works. I fully expect to lose this whole thing by the way." She looked back and forth between Chloe and Sam. "I suppose the real question is which of you will win. Though, wouldn't it be awesome if we all won a single character and tied overall?" She looked thoughtfully at the other two girls again. "I'm predicting...one of you will win 2 of the 3 categories and the other will win a final one. All I know for sure is who is winning the bikini category. And no, I won't share my prediction!"

"It is for a computer nerd." Chloe insisted. "And being a red head is a definite talent. I couldn't pull it off."

"Why do you think we wanted to do it." Sam laughed when Babs predicted she would lose. Dave, for his part, looked thoughtful at her suggestion of a winner in each category. But Sam wasn't going to let him off that easily. "Then we'd need a tiebreaker." She claimed, then shook her head. "Of course you won't share. Because then no matter what he says, you can say you were right."

Barbara smiled at Chloe. "I'd enjoy it but I doubt any others would. As for being a red head it's not like I can walk in front of Dave and point to my hair and go 'it's red!' and win..."

She smiled at Sam then and shrugged. "Well how about this. I know one of you two will win the bikini contest and I think I know which one but I'm not saying which! Actually..I will. I think it'll be you Sam mostly because Dave already knows Chloe and has probably seen her in a bikini before."

If Babs showed her other patch of red hair, Chloe had no doubt she'd win the contest...after the judge woke up, of course, But she wasn't about to suggest anything like that so she just nodded. "Well, you could always try it. You never know. Both of us might suck so badly that might be all it takes to win." Chloe suggested, then blushed a bit when Babs pointed out Dave had seen her in the bikini before. "So your saying he's bored with me? Is that it?" Chloe laughed, then went and hugged Dave before he could think of a response. "So where do we find these bikinis?" Chloe asked as she linked an arm with Dave. "You have to help me pick one out since I'm at such a disadvantage here."

Sam laughed and shook her head. "This way." She said as she playfully grabbed Babs and Chloe's hands and led them to the bath house. "No idea how we got so many. You'd think people would remember they forgot their swimsuits."

Barbara saw a look on Chloe's face and took a wild guess at what she may have been thinking. "Well the good news is if there is any question about whether my hair is naturally red you can verify it." She looked totally innocent as she said it but couldn't help blushing.

She laughed at Chloe's question about the bikinis. "Well he's seen so much of you right?" She actually didn't meant it like it sounded.

She let Sam drag her to the bath house good naturedly. "Are we just getting them for later? Or doing this first?"

Chloe turned the same shade of red as Babs hair. "What?" She asked softly. Babs couldn't possibly have meant what she thought she meant, right? Sam missed the interplay entirely and looked at them in confusion, while Dave was still wondering how he'd managed to be selected to help Chloe pick out a bikini.

"He was very much the gentleman when I lost my top." Chloe declared, though her comment certainly didn't help the blush.

"We see each other a couple times a week, i guess. Every day when school is in session." Dave told her, totally missing the implication.

"Why not do this first since we're right here." Sam suggested, and Dave certainly didn't have a problem with that idea.

Barbara looked at Chloe and smiled, still looking innocent. "Well you were there when I changed clothes and took a shower."

Barbara arched an eyebrow at Chloe's comment. "Wait? So Dave has seen you topless? When did this happen?"

She nodded thoughtfully at Dave's comment. "I actually don't know where I'm going to school yet?"

She shrugged at Sam's suggestion. "Alright I don't have any problems with doing it now. Can we change right here in the pool house?"

Yup...Babs had meant just what she thought she meant, and Chloe turned bright red at the reminder, totally unable to get a word out at the memory. specially on top of being reminded Dave had seen her topless. Dave, for hsi part, just shrugged. "It was a couple years ago, and a big wave at the beach. No idea what happened to her top, so I just went and got a towel. Not a big deal." And it hadn't been...then. Before Chloe had really developed in the chest area.

He frowned a bit when Babs said she didn't know where she was goign to school. "I thought that was determined by where you live?' He asked.

"You can change wherever you want. Here works as well as anywhere." Sam admitted, then headed for the door. "I'm going to put mine on. Be right back." She promised.

Barbara patted Chloe on the back when she saw how red she was and nodded at Dave. "Well we saw today what a gentleman you can be. So I'm not surprised you came to her rescue."

She shrugged at Dave's comment. "I think Dad had some thoughts due to my encounter with the Ghost Dragons. We'll see I guess."

She nodded to Sam and headed into the pool house. Once in there she looked for the lost and found or whatever they were using to hold the discarded swim suits then began looking for one that would fit her.

"Well, no one else was doing anything except laughing at her." Dave said a bit defensively, as if he thought he had to defend helping to the teen who had jumped into a fight with Cobra Kai. He frowned a bit as she mentioned the Ghost Dragons...they weren't a real problem at school, as long as you stayed out of their way. But Babs didn't seem to know much more about it, so he didn't push the subject as Chloe spotted the box of discarded suits.

"Come on. You have to help me look. Size 33, B cup remember?" Chloe teased him, watching hsi face go a bit red as he began picking the tops up and looking at the sizes.

She smiled at Dave when she heard the defensive tone. "Dave you're a good person, of course you helped her." She pulled out two bikinis she thought might fit and nibbled her lip as she looked them over.

"Hmmm....decisions decisions." She bit her lip as she looked them over. One was white and looked like a fairly standard bikini. The other was black and was a bit...skimpy.

"White." Chloe said immediately as Dave handed her an orange top that would cover her breasts...and not much else. Chloe wondered if he'd even considered that, ir just picked one that said it would fit. But if Babs did indeed pick the white one, Chloe had little doubt she'd win against Babs at least. She then giggled as she sent Dave on a hunt for a bottom, then got up and turned her back on him as she began to peel off her shirt.

Barbara looked at Chloe for a moment when she suggested the white and shrugged. "Alright."

She grabbed it and looked around for a semi-private place to change she finds some towels hanging on a line and moves behind them to start changing. "Who wears a white bikini in a pool anyway? That's risky..."

Chloe chuckled as she peeled her top off. Dave finally noticed she was disrobing in front of him and beat a quick retreat out the door. "I think whoever designed that bikini wasn't worried about how it looked wet." She laughed as she tied the top on, then began digging through the box for the bottoms. She quickly located a blue pair that she figured she could make work, then began to put those on as well.

"So...what do you think?" Chloe asked as she raised her arms and spun around. It was obvious due to her tan lines that Chloe didn't spend a lot of time at the beach. Her face and arms were distinctly darker than the rest of her.

Barbara walked out in the white bikini and nodded when she saw Chloe. "You look great." She did a spin herself. "Well?" It was obvious she was pretty fit and also didn't tan much as she was quite pale. "Sam probably will have the fanciest bikini..."

She motions to the door. "Shall we?"

"Yeah...like you said Sam is going to win this one." Chloe said as she stuck her tongue out at Babs, then walked out of the pool house with her.

Sam had clearly known where her bikini was and was already sitting on a pool chair talking up the judge. Her bikini wasn't fancy, really, just quite revealing, almost on the level Chloe's was, though Sam's absence of tan lines indicated she wore that suit quite a bit, and her toned abdomen also indicated there wasn't much fat on her body. She raised her eyebrow a bit when she saw Bab's white outfit. "So...should we start the contest with a race? To the end of the pool and back?" She challenged.

Barbara shrugged a little as she looked at Chloe."Or you."

She walked out and smirked when she saw Sam chatting up Dave and wearing a revealing bikini. "Guess I should have warn the black after all..."

She smiled at Sam's challenge and decided not to tell her she had been in track and field at her old school. "Sure if you'd like. We can do that."

"Not with this stomach." Chloe complained as she patted her belly. She wasn't fat by any means, but she didn't have the abs Babs and Sam both possessed. She then giggled at Babs comment about the black bikini. "Only if you wanted to fall out of it and win that way." She declared.

Sam raised her eyebrow a bit in surprise as Babs accepted her challenge. The suit she'd chosen wasn't exactly designed for swimming. But she just nodded in response...then turned and suddenly dove into the water. With practiced ease, Sam swam underneath the water and surfaced only when she reached the other end, which happned faster than Chloe at least could react.

"Hey!" She complained as she turned and dove into the water...even though it ended up being more like a belly flop.

Barbara grinned at Chloe. "Don't sell yourself short!" She blushed though as Chloe teased her about the black bikini. "It wasn't that small!" She protested with a smirk.

"Wait...I thought you meant running by the pool!" Barbara dove in and swam after Sam, her athleticism helping her to catch up to the other girl, forgetting in the heat of the moment her concerns about the white bikini.
