Setting: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds
Pairing: (Ideally) Canon x OC (my character being the OC)
Background: After the disaster that struck Neo Domino, the Satellite/Commons was split from the main city, its only bridge brought to ruin, forever cutting them off the mainland as it became an island. Already subject to discrimination, the poor were forced to fight amongst themselves for any scrap they could get. Good-hearts from the mainland tried to help, but the gang presence and hostility of Sector Security made it difficult for anyone save for crimelords to thrive.

However, they are far from the only oppressed group; even in the Topside, there is a group that faces harassment and threats of violence on a daily basis: Psychic Duelists. Duelists with the ability to make the virtual images of the game a reality. And none are quite so powerful as Izayoi Akiza, aka "The Black Rose Witch". Her skill unmatched and her Duels violent, her very presence strikes terror into the hearts of Neo Domino, only reigned by her master and the leader of the Arcadia Movement, Divine. A man who took her in as a small child after a furious rejection by her parents, she came to heed his every word as gospel, becoming both his shield and sword against those that would threaten her Master's dream of a future where Psychics could be free.

But what happens when someone has the misfortune of being both from the Commons and a Psychic? Enter Kuroi Akashi, a boy born with Psychic abilities, beaten down and downtrodden by Sector and the Duel Gangs. And when Divine hears of him, he gives the Black Rose an order:

Bring this boy to him, by any means necessary.

Bio: An orphan on the Satellite, Akashi only knew tragedy: His mother died in childbirth, and his father passed on his 15th birthday in an industrial accident. Being in the Satellite was the lowest of the low: Anyone from there was a dreg, a leech.

Complicating matters still, he was born with an unusual power: The power to bring card monsters to life in a Duel. One would think this a boon, but each use brought with it nosebleeds, migraines, seizures and blackouts. Not to mention sleeplessness from an unending stream of nightmares and hunger. And in this cruel world those with powers like his are hunted, hated and even killed.

Out of survival he steals and runs with gangs to pay rent and get food. Acts which landed him in custody many times over. Earning him a "criminal mark" that brands him an outlaw.

In his Deck, one solely comprised of powerful Demons, rests an indestructible dragon of darkness. One that acts as a Pyrrhic protector, a guard against this world's cruelty. And with this beast at his side and his will to never break, he continues to persevere as he tries to find his way.
