Sold By My Family (Guardian Angel and Lunarwolf)

A number of months had gone by and it seemed like it was finally time for the weddings of the two grand Dukes - and there was definitely word going around everywhere about these marriages. Everybody had been invited to the weddings by the King - who had decided that he was going to host the weddings at the palace on the same day. All nobles, all commoners, everybody was invited. And this was all happening a month after the debut of Ianite; after only a few months of learning how to become a noblewoman. A strenuous process for her that had been for sure - and there had been a lot of ups and downs with her health because of that. Yet this is also when Adrian had learned the fine truth of his soon to be wife - even as a child her health had always been poor, perhaps another reason that her parents had been desperate to get rid of her. Who needed a daughter who was sick every other week - yet part of it was their own fault as well with how she was raised, and even what had been done while her mother had been pregnant with her. In those months as well, Calla had definitely proved herself to be worthy of being given the title of a knight, although it wasn't a fact that anybody outside of the duchy knew about. As far as anybody knew she was just one of the two handmaidens of the Duchess; the other still being that of Kelly.

Currently Kelly and Calla were assisting Ianite in getting the last few things down for the wedding since they were at the palace and the wedding was within a couple of hours. And it was already obvious that Ianite was beyond nervous and fretting about the whole thing. This just had Calla kneeling in front of her to get her to take a breath to help calm her down some stating that everything was going to be alright. "Lord Adrian loves you. That has been proven time and time again in the past few months." Calla was speaking which had Kelly nodding in agreement as she finished up her hair; only to help her get the veil on as well. Soon enough Ianite was just looking at herself in the mirror. Over the last few months she had definitely become a different woman - stronger than what she had been when she had first arrived at the duchy. Her weight had improved quite a bit but it still wasn't in the healthy range that the doctor was wanting - but it was pretty close. Yet again.... Ianite and Adrian hadn't even slept in the same bed at all since she had arrived - more because she hadn't been comfortable with the idea at all.

"Lady Ianite. I did want to just let you know that your parents are here it seems." Kelly was commenting after a moment in time which just had Ianite looking towards her for a moment. Well she was commenting that she definitely had an idea as to how that night was going to end - with them approaching her to ask her for money. But no this was a fight that Ianite was going to have with them, and not Adrian. She was going to be the one to tell them no; and that she was no longer apart of their family. They had given up on her.

Adrian was waiting in a second room with his friend as the weddings were being held at the same time. looking at his friend her spoke "I swear the king has lost his mind insisting we both be wed on the same day it's like he wants to put on a show" Adrian had wanted the ceremony to be a small and simple event more for his brides' comfort than his own. Adrian moved to one of the windows and looked out it at the large group of people who had already arrived.

Cat looked out the window in the room she was in as well and sighed she hadn't wanted such a big even for her wedding but one did not tell the king and queen no. Cat was curious as to why this was happening and why the king had insisted on them both getting married on the same day.

Darian was just shaking his head before he spoke "I have no idea. Although I'm hoping your wife to be is going to be alright. I saw how she was at her debut." That had almost ended a disaster - Ianite had almost gone into a panicked state with how many people had been there. And her thoughts hadn't been her friend at all - worries that she was doing something wrong all night. Thankfully the orange haired girl that was at her side most of the night had seemed to calm her easily enough. "Her debut. Who was the orange haired girl with your wife to be? They seemed quite close."

"Calla she was a maid at my wife's home before she came to stay with me and when I found out I hired her so that she had someone she knew and trusted by her side" Adrian was also worried if she was going to be ok or not but he hoped that she would be. Adrian then looked at Darian "how is your wife handling things I know she seemed that she was a little annoyed with having a guard when I saw her last."

Darian was nodding his head before he was commenting that it was a good thing she had somebody she trusted at her side. With that he was looking over before he spoke "She is annoyed but I told her to deal with it. There isn't a noblewoman in the world who doesn't have at least one guard and a handmaiden." He was sure that Adrian had assigned other guards to his own wife to be other than just the orange haired woman.

Adrian nodded his head “I am betting that was a battle” Adrian hadn’t had that issue with Ianite as she had understood him wanting to make sure that she was safe

"It had been bit of did tell her that she would stick out and just make a bigger target of herself if she didn't have a guard." Darian was commenting and soon enough they were going to their places, the music starting for the brides to enter.

The two woman were soon enough entering the room, and Ianite found herself happy her veil covered her face. It helped hide her nervousness at that point.

Adrian smiled from where he stood and watched Ianite walk down towards him.

Cat looked down the aisle at Darian and took a steadying breath as she walked to him

Darian was just looking towards Cat, just standing with a smile on his lips. He didn't have to admit that she did look beautiful and she seemed a little nervous as well. Although he couldn't blame her at all - he would probably be nervous as well if he was in her shoes.

Ianite was just swallowing down a frightened squeak and as just walking down the aisle. No she could do this. It was fine. She just had to get through her vows, that was easy enough.

Cat wanted to turn and run but doing so would embarrass them both and make the king look bad as well which was not something she wanted to do

The ceremony went off without any issues at all - and finally it came time for the kiss at the end to seal the vows.

Darian was just looking at her for a moment before he was leaning in to kiss her. As he was doing that, Ianite was also just looking towards Adrian when they were told they could kiss.

Adrian smiled and gently touched her face as a silent reassurance before he leaned down and kissed her.

Cat didn’t move much when Darian kissed her but she also didn’t pull back either keeping up the act of a happily married woman

Ianite was just looking up for a brief moment although she was soon enough flushing a bit as he was kissing her. Thankfully she was able to hide behind her veil a bit as well afterwards. Soon enough the two couples were able to leave the temple to head to the reception hall.

Adrian took he hand and then lead her to the reception hall and to the table that they would be sharing with Darian and Cat "you did great today Ianite" Adrian was more then a little proud of her

Ianite was following after him and was just letting out a slow breath of air to calm her still racing nerves. No there had been so many people and even now she was still going to be surrounded by a bunch of people. And sadly there wasn't anyway for her to just run away at all - even if that is what she was wanting to do.

Adrian walked with her and took her hand in his once they were clear of people for a bit he turned and looked at her "After we eat and do some dancing we will be able to leave and head home so just hold out a little while longer" Adrian worried about her health but he couldn't really tell the king no either and he had made it clear he wanted them to stay for a while rather then leave

Ianite was just looking towards him for a moment in time before she was speaking in a soft voice, "There are just a lot of people is all. But otherwise... I'm fine.. I'm kind of fine anyways. I'm not really sure anymore." With that she was just shaking her head some before she was working on removing the veil now that she was actually able to.

Adrian helped her remove the veil and found it was rather heavy "how did your neck not start hurting from the weight of this thing" Adrian was surprised that she didn't have a sore neck form how heavy it was and once it was fully clear he set it aside and watched as a servant wandered over and picked it up and took it back to the room she had changed in.

Ianite just looked before she commented that her neck had been hurting bit she knew better than to complain. complaining didn't help anything.

Adrian chuckled a little “they really didn’t need to make it so heavy” Adrian moved to stand behind her and gently rubbed her neck
