She'd finished brushing her hair and had moved to her giant bed. She was lounging on it, her legs out languidly before her. She had a single lamp lit next to the bed. She had a book in her hands and was reading it quietly, though she was nodding off to sleep while she read. She'd had a more than exciting day, more had happened today than usually happened in six months for her! She couldn't stop think about Samson besides, she couldn't concentrate on the book anyway. After trying for about twenty minutes she rolled over onto her side and let the book flop down beside her. Her gown was pulled up around her thighs, but she didn't care, she was alone in her room. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to doze off, the single lamp still lit.
While she slept she dreamt of Samson, of running away with him, of being free. She smiled in her sleep, wrapping her arms around the pillow and holding it close to her, pretending that it was him she was embracing so tightly.
