A Bite of Family Love

He smiled softly, kissing her lips tenderly and lovingly. He wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close to him as she cuddled with him,"And I love you sister..." he whispered, holding her close to him. He knew what they where doing was wrong, but it felt so right, felt like it should happen. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he kissed the top of her head softly.

Carlyle looked up at her brother nad kissed him back lovingly. SHe nuzzled her nose to his and sighed contently, staying in his arms. Letting out a soft sigh again, she closed her eyes, finding a need to take a nap. It was amazing how fast all this happened. First comforting and then pure love. How could it go wrong though?

He smiled softly, holding her close to him as he watched her eyes close. He kissed the top of her head gently, smiling lovingly as he watched her. He had promised their mother he would see her before the nights end, but he wouldn't leave her until she fell asleep, wanting to be with her as long as he could.

It didn't take long for her to fall asleep. She was out like the light completely, little puffs of air coming from her nose as she breathed. She didn't snore. It was cute though to watch her sleep. making a small noise, she moved onto her stomach completely and resumed sleeping. So many times, so tired. So worth it.

He smiled, moving and kissing the back of her neck softly before he slid out of the bed. He pulled his clothes on and silently slipped out of the room. He moved to his room and took a quick shower before making his way to their mothers room, knocking on the door once before moving inside and to her side,"Good evening mother..." he whispered to her.

Izaylea looked over to her son when he came in and smiled. She coughed a little bit and put her hand on his. "Good evening my son..." she whispered and rubbed the back of his hand. "How are you? How is...Carlyle?" She whispered. It was killing her that her daughter couldn't come to her. But she sort of understood. she just wished soon Carlyle would come to her.

he gave a gentle smile,"She's... adjusting..." he said as he let his hand cover hers,"She still believes that you and father are invincible... and it pains her to see you like this, just as it did to see father killed..." he said, kissing the back of her hand gently. He wanted to tell her more, but he knew that if he did she would disapprove, and that would cause even more troubles,"I just wish you could get better mother..." he whispered softly.

Sighing softly, she coughed a little bit, covering her mouth with her other hand and lay back looking at him. "There's not much time left. I can only hold on so long Ryu..." She whispered. "I am sorry I can't hang on for you two any longer. I want to and I can't bare that I am leaving you two. But I don't have much time..." she said, actual tears coming to her eyes. "I love you both and I need to see my daughter once before I die..."

He nodded softly and moved, kissing her forehead gently,"I'll try my best mother..." he whispered,"But you know she will break down at the sight of you... she has so much love for you... this will almost certainly break her, or you..." he said as he stood gently, looking over her,"She's resting now... but I'll make sure to bring her to you first thing in the evening..." he said, giving a soft bow.

Izaylea nodded. "wait..." She whispered, extending her hand to him, wanting him to come back to her. She pulled something out from under the pillow beside her, for him. It was his father's and this would be what'll make him official king. "Every king in our blood line wore this trinket."she said softly. She had one for Carlyle, her trinket but she wanted to give it to her in person if she had time. "Come..."

He nodded, moving closer to her so she could put it on him. He smiled gently,"I will make you proud mother... I swear..." he whispered as he watched her. He felt amazing and horrible at the same time. Amazing because he was to be the true king now, but horrible because he knew he was lying to their mother. His face showed nothing though, having been taught to show little to no emotion was something he found benificial right now.

"My boy..." She smiled, putting the trinket around his neck. "You've already made me so proud. Being such a wonderful since your father passed, taking care of Carlyle. I know I will die a happy mother." She smiled, kissing his forehead lightly and then let him go. "I love you Ryu, so so much. Please bring me daughter when you can...before it's too late." She said weakly, adjusting herself some and then turned her head to the side, letting out a shaky breath.

He nodded softly and slowly turned,"I wish you the best mother..." he said gently as he left the room. He gave a soft sigh as he closed the door, showing just a bit of his uncertainty as he left, hoping she hadn't seen. He didn't know what was going to happen now. His mind and his body thinking two different things, he wished he could ask her for advice, but he knew it would only upset her. He leaned against the door slightly, trying to calm his mind and his body before he would return to his sister.

Carlyle awoke from her sleep but she didn't move. Considering the way she was laying, she looked like she was sleeping, especially since her head was facing away from the door. She bit her lower lip and looked at a picture of her family on the wall and closed her eyes. Sighing softly, she sat up and started getting dressed, combing her hair out of its sex hair style and then tying it up. She'd go see her mother. She could be strong.

He moved silently, slowly opening her door,"Oh... you're awake..." he said softly, giving her a gentle smile,"I really thought you where going to sleep all day... it's almost dawn..." he said as he moved into the room and over to her. He wrapped his arms around her softly,"Mother wishes to see you... before... the time comes..." he said as he held her tightly to him.

Sitting on her bed when she was dressed, she looked at him and shook her head. "Mother's picture popped into my head. I couldn't sleep." she said softly as she leaned into him. "I want to see her. Can you stay by my side when I talk to her?" She asked. She was going to go now. She had to.

He sighed softly, kissing the top of her head,"You don't have to go right now..." he whispered,"Mother is getting ready to sleep... you can go tonight." he said, knowing that it was useless to try and talk her out of it. He knew that the sun could rise at any moment, and although the rooms where protected from the sunlight, the hallways where not, so if the sun rose while they where in their mothers room, they'd be stuck in there the whole day.

Sighing softly, he kind of had a point. She'd have to go in the night because the sun just hated vampires. Well she hated the sun to be honest so whatever. Sighing, she shook her head though. "No I haven't seen Mother at all really. I'd happily stay in the room all day just to be by her side. I've been the worst daughter to not even visit her." She said softly. "You don't have to come with me if you don't like..."

He held her softly, laying his head on her shoulder,"She's expecting you tonight..." he whispered to her,"And I know you've been wanting to... I've seen the look on your face when I go in, wishing you could." he said as he gave her shoulder a gentle kiss,"But it's tough... and it takes a great deal for even me to see her... but I'll help you, because this is her final wish... You're not the worst, it's because you care so much that you don't wish to see her like this." he whispered gently as he held her to him, wanting to be strong for her.

Carlyle put her hand around his cheek as he rested his head on her shoulder and let out a sigh. She bit her lower lip hard, feeling like she didn't have the strength to do this but she couldn't let her mother die without seeing her once more. It'd kill them both. "I have to see her..." She siad softly getting up, not taking his hand since it was still optional for him to come. She walked out of her room and quickly advanced to her mother's room, knocking before walking in and shut the door to keep it dark. She walked further in and slowly sat by her at the edge of her bed. It pained her to see her like this but it'd kill her completely if she didn't see her mother once more before she died and left them for good.

Feeling someone sit by her, Izaylea opened her eyes slowly to see her daughter. "Carlyle...?" She whispered, reaching her hand out. Immediately, tears came to Carlyle's eyes and she took her mother's hand. "I'm sorry Mother. I am so sorry i didn't come sooner..." She cried quietly, kissing her mother's hand. Izaylea just smiled and shook her head. "At least you came now though..."

He followed her, giving a soft smile as he walked into their mothers room. He watched the scene play out, but didn't speak, knowing this moment was for the two of them. He was glad that she was able to see their mother, and wished so much that they would have more time, but he knew the sun would be rising very soon, and he didn't want her to get hurt by the sun. He stood at the edge of the bed, just watching the two of them.

"I love you Mother. So much." Carlyle whispered.

Izaylea raised a finger to her daughter's lips and nodded. "I know. Don't apologize." She whispered. She took the trinket from her neck and pulled on it, handing it to her gently. "This...will be what truly makes you a queen." She said weakly. Kissing the trinket, she handed it to her and once Carlyle took it, she held it and nodded. "I won't disappoint you Mother. Neither you or Father."

"My dear you've never disappointed me. Neither has your brother. You two are the perfect children any mother and father could ask for."

Carlyle nodded but bit her lower lip a little bit. She glanced over to her brother and let out a soft sigh. It was difficult to maintain the reputation as a perfect child to her mother after she committed such sin with her brother and wanted to do more. It was natural to her and she saw nothing wrong with it. If her mother knew though, it'd be the end. She couldn't fail her. She would keep going to her brother, but her mother would never need to know.

He stood silently, knowing that if either of them told their mother what had happened, it would be the end of them. He moved silently,"I believe that's all we have time for tonight mother..." he whispered softly, looking to the door,"The sun is prepairing to rise... and I don't want us to be walking down the hallways when it chooses to poke it's head out..." he said as he slowly helped his sister to a standing position,"I will come visit you with Carlyle first thing this evening..." he said as he moved giving his mother a gentle kiss on the forehead,"Sleep well mother..." he whispered,"I will see you tonight..." he smiled gently.

Carlyle looked at her brother and she sighed. She nodded to her mother and kissed her hand and then her forehead. "i'll come back too Mother." She said softly, biting her lower lip and walked out with her brother. Once the door had shut, Izaylea felt that she could finally let go and if she died, at least she got to say goodbye to her two children, finally. Closing her eyes, she slipped into a deep deep slumber. Eventually...dying off as the day went on.

He moved with Carlyle back to her room, closing the shutters and moving to her, wrapping his arms around her waist. He knew that their mother wouldn't make it through the day, but didn't know if she could tell. He didn't want it to happen, but she was already so close to the edge, it wouldn't have taken much for her to fall over. He smiled softly, not wanting to show weakness to her,"You ready to sleep?" he asked softly, looking into her eyes softly.
