SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

She couldn’t help the worry that still weighed on her, but she could only agree- there was no stopping Motochika after all.

He pulled her hands back so he could kiss her palms, "I dunno how long I'll be gone for, but you are free to camp here til I get back. But I will come back.."

She nodded, watching him kiss her hands, wondering if she’d see him again or not. “I’ll be here, Motochika.. I promise.”

The house felt strangely empty once Motochika left for his surgery, Nana sitting for a while and drinking coffee in a haze.

Motochika was anxious, meeting up with Masamune for this surgery. But, it was to protect Nana, and he was willing to do anything for her.
He approached the estate gate, where Masamune's men stopped him to alert their boss, before letting him through. Masamune came out to greet Motochika, all smiles.
"Ready~?" He asked. Motochika swallowed roughly and nodded.
"Aye."
"Then, let's go." Masamune replied and took Motochika to his car. They say in silence during the long drive before stopping at a clinic and taking him inside.
Motochika was prepped for surgery and promptly put under as the doctor began to work on transferring the donor kakuhou. It seemed for a split second that Motochika's body would reject it before his vitals began evening out. The surgery was a success.

Nana could hardly sit still, cleaning the apartment and drinking several cups of coffee before she could even manage to sit for a minute. She was worried for Motochika, worried she had said goodbye to him for the last time.

It was days before she heard someone making their way towards the apartment. They were slow steps, careful. There was a struggle with the door, like the person couldn't fit the key, before finally getting it and pushing the door open.
"Shit," Motochika muttered painfully, "Nana...?" He called out.

Nana was out of bed as soon as she heard who was at the door, unable to sleep anyway. “Motochika?” She turned on the light, hurrying to find him.

He moved into the apartment slowly, still sore from the surgery. When she met him at the door, he had an eye patch over his left eye, and he looked to her with a tired smile.
"Tadaima.."

“You can barely stand, let me help you..” Nana moved to his side, pulling his arm carefully around her shoulder. She felt her lip quiver, but quickly stifled it. “Okaeri..” She said softly as she held him close, not wanting to let go again. He was in rough shape and needed rest, so getting him to bed was her first priority, the second being something for him to eat.

He leaned on her, trying not to put all of his weight as she helped him walk, "No tears, Nana, I'm alright...just sore as shit..." He told her, "Everything fucking hurts.." He added with a laugh.

“I’ll get you something for the pain..” Nana reassured him, helping him to the bedroom, pulling the lamp string to turn on the light overhead. She sat him on the bed and helped pull off his boots. “Besides the pain, how do you feel?”

He groaned as he let her tug off his boots, muttering a thank you.
"Pretty good, actually...like I could run through a wall were I not hurtin so bad.."

“That’s good.. that’s really good.” She smiled, it sounded like he was taking well to the transplant so far. Setting aside his boots, she cupped his cheek, frowning softly at the sight of the eye patch that covered his eye - she knew why. “I’ll bring you something to eat in a bit, it’ll help you recover.”

“You help plenty.. just rest.” She leaned in to kiss his forehead gently before leaving the room to retrieve water and painkillers to help dull the pain.
She couldn’t help but feel immensely guilty, Motochika was pushing himself to such dangerous lengths- she couldn’t stay with Aogiri much longer, if she did, it’d cost her everything.
Returning back to the bedroom, she set the pills and water on the night stand. “Start with these.” She sat on the edge of the bed. “It should help you get to sleep.”

“These painkillers are special made for ghouls- human ones are still viable, but you’ll get stomach cramps.” She explained. “You can pick them up at clinics that serve ghouls.”

He nodded and popped them before swallowing them with the water, setting the glass down and collapsing against the bed again, "Thanks, Nana...yer a saint amongst sinners..."

She let out a laugh- a genuine one that seemed to ease her tension a bit. “Hardly- we’re all sinner sucking at the scum down here at the bottom.” She pulled the covers over him just a bit more, making sure he was covered fully. “That’s why we have to stick together.”

He smiled fondly and nodded, "Aye...no point in doin things alone these days."

Sasuke was annoyed and angry with the fact that Yukimura was being used like some pit fighting animal, and Masamune refused to tell them anything about his location. So, he decided, that while he was out doing a job for Masamune, he would do his best to locate Yukimura. The gps on his phone wasn't working, which meant Masamune thought far enough ahead to turn it off. But, Sasuke had been doing this for a long time and didn't need it to find out where Yukimura was being held.

It was like almost like Yukimura had dropped off the face of the earth, not a single word from him even from Masamune. Not like he’d be likely to actually deliver the message even if he had.
Amaya kept her ear open as she worked the bar, bussing tables, and sweeping floors- no luck. Not a single word was uttered in regard to Yukimura inside the lounge at all.

Akihime did her best to eavsedrop whenever she was leaning the estate but everyone seemed to be button lipped about Yukimura. While on a break with Amaya, she played nervously with her engagement ring, staring off into space.
"I just...don't understand..." She muttered, "It's been months...wouldn't Masamune let Yuikimura come home by now...?" She mused quietly.

Amaya puffed on a cigarette, sending a text to Sasuke to check in with his progress.
“He must have a list of reasons not to let him loose yet.” She flicked away a bit of ash, watching it roll across the pavement and scatter with the wind.
“And with no one willing to talk, we’re running low on options.”
