To avoid a clutter of social chatting in the OoC thread I am starting this one for more social purposes. Here we can talk about all things from what we're currently watching on Netflix, what music we're listening to, that funny thing our cat did five minutes ago, to ... ummm ... the weather, and such.

So ... in an effort to get to know our collaborators a little better (voluntarily of course) I thought this might be a fun and interesting way to do it.

If you decide to fill it out and post it then please do tag @cat.

@cat.

1. Never really thought about it. I barely understand myself sometimes. I'll get back to you on that one :p
2. Nope.
3. Marvel - Captain America (Steve Rogers). DC - Batman. Stargate - Dr. Daniel Jackson. Star Trek - Data. Star Wars - Anakin Skywalker. ATLA/TLOK - Bolin
4. I like it just fine. Another one I never really gave much thought to.
5. Human...being I guess? *shrug*
6. I have no problem with God or multiple Gods, should they exist. It's mankind's perversion of deities and the subsequent atrocities committed in their name(s) I have a problem with.
7. Insofar as I am ashamed to be of the same ethnic group that's responsible for so much suffering in America, yes.
8. The Eagles, The Beatles, sometimes Aerosmith. Depends, really.
9. Just a simple wordsmith-in-training.
10. "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted." And yes, that is borrowed. You get a cookie if you can successfully guess where from without Googling it.
11. Video games in bed with my girlfriend.
12. I like both.
13. Both, provided outside isn't too hot or cold and I'm caught unprepared.
14. Aha, haha, haha. Maybe?
15. Oh boy. Can I get back to you? (That's like my catchphrase, lol)
16. Absolutely, I would have. My parents really dropped the ball with my mental health.
17. What tumblr?
18. Hmm. Wolf. No, direwolf!
19. I took the Sorting quiz on Pottermore and got Hufflepuff.
20. Hmm. I'd rather be in...Westeros.
21. Yep, although I'd not consider that a bad thing.
22. Hanging out on the internet, struggling to make enough money to survive, sleeping, watching streaming TV, eating.
23. You mean the same family who didn't offer a lick of help when my parents died? I'd just as soon never see their faces again.
24. Nope, although as a Star Trek fan that sounds...fascinating.
25. With internet, absolutely. But can I bring my girlfriend along too?
26. Straight, cis male.
27. I guess.
28. My sister occupies a solid 1 on that scale. Most other people, however, it can vary between 5 and 10.
29. Movin' Out (Anthony's Song) - Billy Joel; Ramblin' Man - The Allman Brothers Band; Take It Easy - The Eagles.
30. "Now the whole world's gonna know that you died scratching my balls!" ~James Bond, Casino Royale (2006)

Just a quick comment. The way I interpreted the question about how hard it was or someone to get under my skin was to mean how hard it is for someone to get to know the real me. Maybe that's just me.

In America at least, getting under someone's skin is usually meant to say that they annoy you.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Here at work, relaxing on the last part of my lunch hour. Have a good day everyone.

Omg. My roommate finished with jury duty today. Mistrial. Go ahead and judge me all you want, but I laughed so hard at what the case was. A family sued a funeral home. They wanted to cremate their loved one and still have a service. So the funeral home offers a rental casket for funerals at the church. The rental casket has latches on one end, the end where the person's feet would be. Normally they would put the person on the insert and use dowel rods to push them into the casket. This funeral home had put wheels on the insert to make it easier, I guess. The family was at the bottom of the stairs at the church. They were at the top of the stairs with the casket. The latches failed, and the insert rolled out. Then this poor woman surfed down the stairs on the insert. Her blouse flew up. She flashed her family, and came to rest at the legs of one man plus the pastor. The pastor pulled her blouse down. I'm serious. You can't make this stuff up. They kept the rest of the people inside the church while they put her back in the casket, but the family saw everything. Omg. So they're suing the funeral home. Like I said, judge me all you want, but I laughed so hard at this. I know it's not funny, but omg. Can you even begin to imagine this happening to someone in your family?

I've had some issues with fatigue and general dizziness due to making adjustments in my medication but I'm stable again now.

Figured I'd make use of this thread. I am less than a week away from my house sale being closed (AKA finalized). I have as much of my shit packed as I can, and I am ready to finally get the hell out of here. The moment I do, I'll be heading out to California (I am on the opposite side of the continental US) to rescue my currently long-distance girlfriend from a rather unpleasant situation, let us say. She has tried and failed several times to get here on her own, each time she has run out of money or has suffered a breakdown, or both. She is extremely vulnerable to stress, so even the most minor foul-ups throw her off-balance severely. But armed with the money from the house sale, nothing short of an apocalyptic disaster will keep us apart this time, as I will be there by her side the whole way. Like a medieval romance, where the gallant prince (me) sends secret messages (texts, Discord messages, etc.) to the beleagured princess (her) locked in her tower, until finally he is able to hop on his white horse (a plane, probably) to charge to the rescue!

If I recall the myth correctly, the serpent wraps around the world to hold the sea's in, so in that sense the world would be coin like.

Also ... It's the old Norse blood in my veins.

It is funny though. I do actually have old Norse blood from both my parents despite one of them being about as stiff-upper-lip-English as can be (his ancestors came to England with the Normand conquest) and Mum being utterly Scandinavian.

So you can now all call me Brünhilde ... 😜
