Hello Bluemoon! Thank you for taking the time to read my thread.
This is a specific craving post so feel free to read more about my roleplay style on my profile. ♡ I am a literate roleplayer and lean towards acting as dominant/switch male leads. I highly prefer for your character to be a dominant/switch as well. I am also a huge fan of Fantasy, dark romance, obsession and codependency.
Two princes. One crown. And a love that should never have been.
The elder is the Crown Prince—a pure-blooded demon, born of fire and war, the court’s untouchable golden heir. Raised to command, revered like a god, he is everything a ruler should be: ruthless, radiant, and terrifyingly loyal to one soul alone.
Caelan.
His younger brother, born of a political scandal—half high fae, half demon—is the shadow the court cannot erase. His mother’s kingdom lies in ruins, her son now a bastard under the crown’s eye. But Caelan has carved out his own power—quiet, sharp, and absolute. If the Crown Prince is fire, Caelan is ice: restrained, brilliant, always watching.
They were raised side by side, trained as warriors, bonded by blood. And somewhere along the line, that bond twisted. The older prince’s admiration turned to hunger, his fierce protectiveness into obsession. He worships Caelan’s mind, his elegance, the maddening way he holds himself just out of reach. He would burn the world to own him mind, body, and soul.
But Caelan—cold, bitter, aching—refuses to be consumed. He wants control. He wants a throne. And above all, he wants to be seen as more than the bastard. His arranged marriage to a foreign heir is a calculated move: a political strategy, a claim of independence, and perhaps a way to provoke the one person he cannot outrun.
The Crown Prince, furious and desperate, refuses to let Caelan go. What was once a secret yearning becomes a violent unraveling. As the elder turns from guardian to hunter, Caelan must decide whether to hold his ground—or surrender to the fire that has always threatened to swallow him whole.
Because obsession, once awakened, does not die quietly.
Further explanation for the plot:
I imagine the Crown Prince is obsessed with his younger brother because Caelan is one of the few people he's ever truly seen and connected with. As a nation often in war, they've shared a lifetime of battles, secrets, and isolation...growing up side by side, two halves of the same whole.
The Prince is used to being obeyed, revered without question, so when Caelan starts to reject his advances, it unravels something in him. Slowly, then all at once.
Caelan mistook restraint for control. Misread desire as something that could be denied. He believed, perhaps foolishly, that his gentle deflections, his cold logic, his carefully placed walls would be enough to keep the Crown Prince at bay.
He was wrong.
The prince may have been raised for battle, but when it came to Caelan, he was a beast driven by possession, not reason. Charisma gave way to craving. Worship turned feral. And when Caelan tries to pull away—tries to remind them both of duty, of blood, of consequence—his brother stops asking.
He takes.
Caelan finds himself at the mercy of a brother who would rather break him than be without him. The same brother who once protected him from war now wages a quieter, crueler one behind closed doors.
And in that war, there are no negotiations.
Only need.
Only obsession.
Only the slow, devastating undoing of a man who thought he could outplay a monster… without realizing he was the prize all along. And when Caelan breaks? All hell is unleashed.
That said, I don't enjoy one-sided dynamics. While Caelan resists for strategic reasons, he's secretly been pining in return. He understands how catastrophic it would be for the realm to discover their forbidden bond, but that doesn't stop the desire. Being the cold tactician he is, he hides it well.
I'm usually not big on incest themes, but I do love the taboo tension of a fantasy setting where two royals—raised together like yin and yang—struggle against a connection that feels fated and doomed all at once.
I imagine Caelan slipped in his restraint once, maybe more than once, when they were younger. A moment of weakness, a brush of lips too close to be innocent, a hand lingering too long. But despite everything, they've never fully crossed that final line. They haven't bed one another—yet. And that lingering almost only deepens the unbearable tension between them. I enjoy the unbearable pining~
