"For when it is long. I think you would look lovely with some kind of decoration." She said gently. As they walked, Akatsuru didn't notice Warabihime making her way opposite of them until she bumped into Akatsuru.
"Ah, gomenasai, Warabihime-dono." Akatsuru apologized, "I wasn't paying attention, it was entirely my fault." No, it wasn't, she knew that. But, it would have been pointless to cause a scene.

Warabihime stopped just behind Akatsuru so her back was to the two, standing silently as an overwhelming feeling gripped Akatsuru by the throat. The other oiran turned her head and gave a smile, eyes closed as her expression dripped with false kindness. “It’s alright, I won’t hold it against you.” Ebisu only bowed her head and kept quiet, heart pounding in her chest. She could feel it, Warabihime was a demon as well.

Akatsuru bowed gently, smiling faintly, "Arigatou, I do appreciate it. I'll be more careful in the future." When she turned to keep walking with Ebisu, her kind eyes were cold and angry, "What a vile creature. I'm not even sure she's fit to be considered a woman." She muttered. How was she not bothered by the intense bloodlust? The raw murderous intent that was pointed at her?

Ebisu took her hand, glancing behind them at Warabihime who was walking off down the road, worried she heard Akatsuru. “Akatsuru..”

Ebisu took her hand, shaking her head. “I just wish you didn’t have to make such an expression..” She said softly. “I’ve never seen you angry before.”

"She should learn some manners. One would think she's no better than a man, walking around without regard like that." She said gently.

“Just ignore it, you’ll hardly see her much at all if you’re lucky- anyway, we should keep going otherwise we’ll waste our night out.” Ebisu offered a smile. “Let’s go.”

The two of them browsed mostly, but Ebisu did pick a hairpin- a simple gold one with a crane engraved on it.

Ebisu looked to Akatsuru, tilting her head a bit. “Is it working?” She responded quietly.

Ebisu laughed softly. “Are you going to buy anything? Wouldn’t want to go all this way and only have me be spending money.”

She hummed, looking over everything with careful eyes before grabbing a kanzashi that resembled a wisteria. "This. It'll remind me fondly of you."

Ebisu smiled softly, liking the hairpiece. “That’s lovely, it’ll look great on you.” She said, looking to Akatsuru with a soft smile.

Ebisu was happy to have had the night to spend with Akatsuru rather than working, her heart feeling light in her chest.

"A night off is so pleasant. We're always rather busy keeping the house going." She said, twirling her new pin delicately in her fingers.

Ebisu had tucked her hairpin into the breast of her clothes to keep it safe, hair not quite long enough to house it yet. “It is nice to have this time with you..” She nodded.

The two spent the rest of the night getting tea and snacks, only heading back to the house when the sun started to come up.

Akatsuru yawned loudly as they entered the house, ignoring the firm glare from the madam.
"Where have you two been?" She huffed. Akatsuru smiled softly.
"Gomen, gomen. The time got away from us. We'll be more careful next time."

Ebisu bowed herself lowly to the madam, apologizing softly. “Forgive us, Madam, it won’t happen again.”

"It had better not. Because you both were missing, we had to turn customers away." She stated. Akatsuru waved her hand gently.
"They can come back later and pay double."
