[[Yuuki x Zero]]

"Well well well, if you want to involve Summer with this, then I'll give you a special deal. You two both have to resign from your respective courts and swear your allegiance to the Dark Elves... and you Rika, are to swear a magical oath to me." He told her as he moved over to his weapons, wondering what he should choose. He moved and made a nod to to a couple of the guards in order to draw up a nice circle, as well as remove the collar from her for now. Soon they would be useless, after all... in his court, they were to do as their King said. A duel, something all courts had in common, and that their own magic are deep rooted into. They would make their conditions clear, and then the magic would take the stage. He decided on two curved blades, as he stood across from Rika, waiting for her answer.

He enjoyed her conditions too, they would provide an easy excuse to make them his brides, after all... his laws required they be dark elves. Of course, he could easily get it passed that they could be his bride, but it would be easier not to have to punish more nobles, or really wipe more of the power out of his courts. It wasn't good if he was losing too many of the old blood in the Dark Elven world, but of course... that was what happened when you led a coup.

Summer looked at Rika, now worried that her over-confidence of her fighting skills or underestimation of Shido's fighting skills could get them in a whole lot of trouble. But before she could say anything, Rika nodded her head. "Fine."

Armed only with a sword and no armor, she positioned herself across the large hallway across of Shido. Lifting her sword, she said a short spell which iced up the floor of the hallway. From the side, she could hear Summer suddenly start shrieking. The ice was painful to any member of the Summer court and Summer was no exception, especially with her bare knees touching the floor. But not once did she move her gaze from Shido who stood in front of her. First lesson in a duel was never to look away from the enemy. She learned that the hard way back in the Winter court.

Another lesson she learned was capitalizing on her strengths. For Rika, it was her speed. The third lesson she could not apply for she did not know Shido well enough to know his strong points. Lastly, Rika learned that she could not defend herself for long. If she wanted to win, she'd attack first.

Using the iced up floor to her advantage, she slid across the hallway, as if she was skating on the ice and using the speed to propel herself towards Shido, slashing at him as quickly as she could. To untrained eyes, it would seem that she was just slashing at him at random, trying to see which one would hit. But Rika's advances were precise, trained to hit as much exposed skin as she possibly could while dodging his attacks.

He watched her as she iced the floor, although it didn't really affect him much, other than slight discomfort at his feet. It was not very surprising that she would do something like this, after all... she was a winter elf. He waited for her to make the first move, deciding instead to see what sort of tricks she might have up her sleeve, to analyze her movements and counterstrike rather than make his own moves. As she quickly made her way over to him, he stuck one of his swords into the ice and used it to quickly turn himself on the ice as he began to slide around himself, going faster and faster as he turned on the dime by placing a sword down.

For him, the best thing to do was to take the opponents advantages away from them. If she wished to play on a floor made of ice, he would show her that she had lost what speed she once had to him. The only way she was going to turn quickly was with great effort, and since her weapon was only in one piece, any chance she wouldn't defend would lead her open for him to make his move. He wasn't about to use any of his magic on her just yet, and he had plenty up his sleeve as well. In fact, he was even bold enough to give her a half-second attention away from her. "Take the Summer elf off the floor.." He told her, wanting to stop the screaming for now as Summer was lifted up by a guard, carefully then putting her on a table and safe from the ice.

Rika saw that attacking him as he spun around and around would be pointless. He had used the ice to his advantage as well so she let the ice melt as she backflipped as far from his as possible. She cursed slightly when she fell on her bad ankle and pain shot up her leg. Her ankle throbbed for a moment but she didn't give it much thought and jumped up on the nearest table. If she couldn't use her speed, she would have to improvise. She hopped from table to table until she was standing next to Summer. Shido wouldn't openly attack her with Summer by her side. He couldn't afford to have her as a casualty of this little duel or else his game would be over. Rika really didn't plan on using Summer as her shield, only to buy her enough time to freeze the floor up again, hoping Shido would get caught in the ice as well.

Summer looked at Rika, terrified of the sword that was hanging in front of her face. She had to admit, Shido was smart. Rika's advantage was her speed but by using it as well, Rika was forced to change strategies mid-duel. She was quite thankful, though, that she was off the ice. It sizzled against her skin when she was kneeling down on it and now her knees were raw. Placing her hand over her knees, she healed it until the skin was only slightly pink.

He watched as she unfroze the ice and then began to run around the room, but he couldn't really tell what she was getting at. He moved around as she seemed to take Summer almost hostage, and it was only then that he had realized that she once again froze the floor, leaving him trapped in the ice with his feet dug in. He smiled however, finding that this only made it more interesting. Well, if she wanted close combat, he'd allow her to come close. He was near enough to one of the walls that his back was turned to it, and thus attacking him from there would not be easy at all.

He'd get to use a little trick against her, and if he got it to work, then it would be only because of the fact he had stripped her earlier. He needed flesh contact, something she shouldn't give him but... considering the circumstances, could occur if she wasn't expecting it. He waited for her, hoping that she would charge and slice at him. His plan was quite simple, as he murmered the spell and allowed it to flow across his body, waiting to bind to a host. If she slashed, he could just parry and lick up her broadsword with his two curved, and then possibly either with is arm or his head, press up against her and allow his little aphordesiac spell to take hold of her.

Smugly, Rika grinned. "Are you stuck?" She teased him then hopped off the table and back onto the ice. She leaned down and touched the ice with her bare hand and the temperature rose, making it harder for him to move an inch. She walked towards him slowly, playing with the sword on her hand until she stood just out of his reach. Rika knew that all she had to do was cut him so that she could win and be free. But the warrior in her refused. If it was a duel the king wanted, a duel he got. And the price he would have to pay was not only her freedom but his life as well. Rearing back, she lifted her sword to swing at him with as much force as she possible could.

Summer watched from the distance. Even with the ice so thick, it would have been easy even for her to get out of that slight entrapment despite the pain of the cold. Shido could have gotten out of that predicament a lot easier. He obviously had a trick up his sleeve and Summer opened her mouth warn Rika but she was too late. Rika swung at Shido, falling right into his trap.

The force that Shido put into swiping her sword away nearly knocked it out of her hands. She managed to keep a hold of it but not without her skin touching Shido's when he reached for her. The spell's effect was nearly immediate. Her knees suddenly felt weak so she dropped down onto them. Having enough sense to roll away from him, she pulled as far as possible. "What the hell?!" She shrieked. "What did you do?" Her nipples and clit had hardened like pebbles and it was not because of the cold. She was also beginning to get wet as an odd warmth enveloped her body.

He watched as she fell right into his trap, finding that she had been quite confident in her abilities, and had just hit his arm as she drew back, rolling away. He could tell that the effects of his spell were devastating on a body such as hers. Funny, that despite how strong she was something as simple as that could bring her down to her knees. And now even worse, he moved to touch the ground as he melted the ice underneath him and touched the floor... before vines began to grow out right from underneath Rika as they moved to bind her legs and slowly crawled up her legs. They were full of the moisture of the ice, as he used them to tease her, after all.. such living things moving closer and closer to her entrance in conjunction with the spell would be quite distracting.

She might have had the edge had they not used magic, but his darkness would soon envelop her, and unless she somehow found the willpower to defeat such a spell from within her, then she would find her chances of winning going up in smoke, as well as Summer's freedom.

Rika fought against the spell as hard as she could. But no one had ever trained her against the use of an aphrodisiac. After all, only the summer elves used it and never for battle. She continued to struggle against the vines, even as they stroked her, making her gasp in delight. Twice, she tried to cut the vines with her sword but her arms were far too weak to do anything really damaging. Eventually, her sword seemed far too heavy for the Winter elf and it hit the floor with a loud klang.

Summer knew the answer. And she wanted so badly to help Rika but she had to get closer and that part of the room was still frozen in ice. She clasped her hand over her mouth to muffle the sound of her sobs as she cried. Her freedom would be lost if she didn't help Rika but she couldn't do anything but to stand back and watch as Shido's vines had their way with poor Rika.

"Stop! Stop!" Rika shrieked, half-heartedly kicking the vines away from her entrance. The vines were revolting but the pleasure was great. She had to bite her bottom lip to stop from begging it to touch her more. Once more, she tried a spell to freeze them but in her weakened state, it only served to cool the vines which only added to her pleasure.

He moved closer as she slowly began to buckle under it. Hmph, as if such a warrior would be so easily susceptible to such things, it was actually rather pitiful. He allowed more magic to the vines, as instead of going in or even touching her entrance, they grew up along her legs before they pressed against her back and then along her upper body, circling around her breasts before stopping and leaving themselves right at her hard nipples. He was now very close to her as he kicked away her broadsword and spoke. "Well well, putting on quite a show for my men are you? Looks like you're quite out of your element here aren't you?" He asked as he circled around her.

Oh, he was just making a fool out of her now. He wondered how well the Aphrodisiac would break her down, as he decided to allow the vines to also now travel along her arms, so that she would be unable to pleasure herself and be locked in a pleasureful and painful situation. The duel would not be over until he drew blood of course, or until she forfeited, which he doubted she would do even as the magic continued to wrack over her body.

Summer knew if she let this go on any longer, Rika would break or forfeit. Her freedom depended on this and since there was no rule that she could not interfere, she decided that the temporary pain would be better than living forever in the Dark Court. Before any of the guards could stop her, Summer ran forward as quickly as she could, ignoring the burning pain on the soles of her feet. She reached Rika and touched her arm, quickly undoing the spell. Unfortunately, since she hadn't done that in a long while, she did it all wrong and transferred the aphrodisiac to herself.

The spell had a worse effect on Summer. She fell to her knees and the cold began sizzling against her skin as she screamed in both pain and lust. Rika, getting a little bit more strength, managed to push the vines away. She scrambled away as far away as possible then began to melt the ice to ease Summer's pain. Her sword was a short distance away and she lunged for it, hoping Shido would be distracted by Summer's screaming.

He watched as Summer came and took the magic from Rika, but didn't dispell it. Rather, it jumped to her and she was left hurting and lusting on the floor, which had now been defrosted by Rika. He tsk'd at the two of them and while Rika went to jump for her sword... he raised his hand at Summer as the vines quickly climbed along her body, pressing it against the ground she was now on as they were not as friendly upon her as they were Rika, having no problems making their way all around her body and squeezing those areas that mattered most, including her entrance which soon became an entanglement. However, nothing entered her, after all... he was saving that for himself only.

"Come now Rika, you really think you can win at quarter strength? You understand for every second now that you waste, your poor elven friend is suffering now because of you." He told her before he whispered another word as out of the ground around Rika now vines grew out, however, these were filled with thorns of which blood could be drawn. One false step and she'd be cut, and if she was not of sure foot and couldn't make the jump, worse might occur.

Summer shrieked as she fought against the vines. She was one of the few Summer elves who didn't use aphrodisiacs so she wasn't used to being put into this position. The vines that were teasing her and playing with her were relentless, enjoying the wetness that now flowed from her. She continued to struggle against the vines and using what power she had to fend them off. Wishing she knew how to remove the aphrodisiac from her own body, Summer screamed, trying to focus on the freeze burns on her skin to heal herself but she was torn between her lust and her pain and the lust seemed to be winning.

Rika looked at the thorns around her, feeling trapped. She could jump out but she worried about her ankle. "Let her go." Rika said, feeling pity for Summer who writhed in both lust and pain. She could at least try, she jumped as high as she possibly could in her weakened state. Miscalculating, her foot got caught in the thorn-filled vines and she cursed as she felt the thorn scratch the sole of her foot.

He watched as Rika miscalculated and their duel was over, as the circle of which their duel had been contained lost its magic and he was the winner. He released his hold on the vines, as they did not recind, but rather just stopped growing. He smiled at the two as they were both now quite shaken up by him, of course... Summer still under lingering effects of his spell. "Well well then, let us complete this little bargin then hmm?" He told them as he hoped that neither of them would do anything funny now, as they had both sworn to this. Especially RIka, whom now would be his loyal warrior, a dangerous little pet of his, taken from the winter elves.

He was very pleased with their performances. Summer did show plenty of courage, coming to help Rika, while Rika's fighting style was hard and fast. However, both had sorely underestimated whom they were fighting, and in Summer's case, she was just too sheltered and could not defend herself nor others properly, something he intended to fix now that they were part of the dark courts.

Rika stood up, careful not to let her feet touch the floor. If anything, elves always remained true to their word. Rika stood in front of Shido and sighed, "I am a woman of my word," she knelt in front of him, waiting for Summer to approach. One of the guards helped Summer up to her feet and she stood unsteadily. She was brought to kneel in front of Shido. "Do you know how to do it?" Rika asked Summer who merely nodded her head.

First, they had to let go of all their ties to the Summer court and become solitary fae who didn't belong to any court. Summer's hands touched the floor and she returned to the earth all her Summer powers. Her healing powers would stay for members of different courts could retain the power to heal but her power over the flowers and insects would have to be returned. Rika followed her movements and she also let go of her powers over ice and snow. Some control over ice, naturally inherent because of her bloodline, remained but was diminished. As a result, their eyes turned from green and blue, respectively, to a light shade of gray. Summer's wings also turned transparent.

Second, they had to swear their allegiance to the Dark Court and they would gain Dark Fae powers. As they swore in, promising to serve the Dark Court and Shido, changes begin to happen to their bodies. Summer's wings changed once more, turning a dark purple while on Rika's back, a black tattoo-like pigment formed on the small of her back. It looked like black lace that twisted from the small of her back, creeping up to her shoulders. A sure sign of a dark elf warrior. They both blinked as the change in their eyes began, turning violet like most women in the dark court. With the change complete, both Summer and Rika felt more powerful, like the powers they had before had been doubled.

One of the servants rushed into the room right after the transformation was finished, holding a mirror in his hands. "King Shido, the Winter Queen wishes to speak with you." He announced. Rika's eyes went to the mirror. She yearned for the queen that she had just denounced. She yearned to beg forgiveness for betraying her court but she stayed still, knowing she still had another oath to take. One that Shido still hadn't told her about.

He watched as they completed the ceremonies, both doing quite the job in becoming his very own Dark Fae, with their very own special characteristics of their own. No dark Fae had wings like Summer's of course, they would forever mark her as a diverter while for Rika, her own insignia blackened over her back would soon also be adorned with something even more prominent as she would swear her direct allegiance to Shido himself. Their powers should also be amplified by not only their presence in the dark courts, but by the wells of magic controlled by the dark elves.

While this was all pleasing, he was unhappy that Rika had stopped short of her bargain as he moved and placed his hand on her cheek. "Aren't you forgetting something Rika?" He asked of her, allowing his hand to be used as she would soon bind herself to the Dark Elven King, something that almost no one did since, most of the dark elves near him had their full loyalties in check. The very fact she would now report directly to him, made her something like an assassin, to be feared. It was quite an interesting predicament in fact, that joining the dark courts only made her more powerful and more prominent. While her bloodline was filled with the warriors and the instincts of the Winter Elves, as a Dark Elf, her abilities and prowess would soon become unquestioned.

"Tell the Winter Queen she shall wait, and that I will get to her after I deal with one matter." He told the servant, as he motioned her away so that the Queen would not see anything as of yet. The Mirror should still be cloudy as if she were on hold and could not see in. Until Rika was, not only part of the Dark Court but soon be tiered warrior, he would be able to answer the Queen and be able to brush off her threats like nothing.

"Queen Beira would not be pleased if you put her on hold." Rika pointed out. It wasn't really a threat. Just a warning. Rika had grown accustomed to the queen's mood changes that she knew exactly what would tick the queen off and not answering a call immediately would be one of them. Nonetheless, she still had a part of her deal that she had yet to do. Placing her hand over his, she spoke, "I, Rika Halestorm of the Halestorm clan, pledge direct allegiance to thee, King Shido of the Dark Court. I will do as you see fit and I will protect you even at the cost of my own life."

The palm of her hand felt like it was burning for a moment and she turned it over to reveal another tattoo on her palm. This one looked more like a brand since it depicted the Dark Court's seal, seared onto her palm. This bound Rika to Shido in more ways than one. He could call her without needing to call her name, he would know where she is and what she is doing and more importantly, she was bound to do anything he wishes. Even if meant killing Queen Beira, the woman who had practically raised her as her own daughter.

The servant returned once more, handing the mirror to Shido. The Queen had gotten impatient and had been screaming at the poor servant, asking for Shido. The mirror began to clear and the old woman's face was shown on the silvery surface. "You have taken my best warrior, Shido. Are good warriors lacking in your court or have they all betrayed you like you betrayed your father?"

He watched as she pledged to him, and the dark court's seal was embranded upon her palm. He enjoyed her voice speaking his name as well, as now the Queen had nothing on him, as he happily now took the mirror from the servant before he moved it out of sight from Rika, so that the Queen would not see or hear of her yet, and it would just be as if she were talking with him normally. When she spoke angrily at him, he gave her a short and simple reply. "I have no idea what you're talking about Biera, I have no winter elves in my court, and the only one's in my land are those fighting my own comrads. Perhaps this is because you cannot keep your own troops in line?" He asked, pointing it right back at her.

And in a very real sense, what he was now saying to her was true in more ways than one. She had just been forced to kill one of her own scouts, and while he didn't know she was already dead, it was clear that the winter elves would not let her go. And now, poor Rika Halestorm was his protector, his shadow. Her best warrior, and quite possibly soon to be his next betrothed. 'Course, she'd have to beat out Summer, whom had not only the looks but it seems the magic to beat her. It would be a close matchup between the two, especially considering that Summer did have dark blood in her, and he would not have to make peace with the Summer Elves if he did decide upon her.

"The scout may have been a traitor, but she would not have lied, not to me." Beira spoke, coldly. "You have Rika and the Summer King's niece. He isn't too happy about that either. If you don't want us to come together to raid your castle to get them back, I suggest you let them go back to their respective courts now."

Summer had sat up when she heard that her uncle knew she had been taken. A part of her cherished the thought but a larger part of her worried that the Summer King would not accept her now that she looked more Dark Fae than Summer Fae. Saddened by the thought of the man who raised her like his own daughter would turn her away just because she looked differently, Summer turned away and stopped listening in on the conversation. Rika, on the other hand, was listening to her former queen as she spoke with Shido. An alliance with the Summer King might strengthen the ranks but Rika doubted whether that would be enough to defeat Shido who had already proven that had a great amount of power. And now that she had sworn allegiance and with Summer's undeniable power, it seemed even more doubtful.

"Ahh, so you're speaking of Rika and Sasha? If you want them to return to their respective courts, I can assure you that they are currently residing in the courts of which they belong" He told her, figuring that she would now understand what he was telling her. Of course, he didn't expect her to just drop the subject from now on, as with others. Both elves were now loyal to him, and in fact, he was going to inform them that they would be completely locked in his court. That was only Summer of course, since Rika was now his pawn and only his. However, he didn't like the fact that they might form an alliance, but then again with both Rika and Summer on his side, he'd be able to know exactly their ranks, and divert them while he stopped whatever they were planning.

In common combat, he was not much. In fact, he would most likely ask Rika how she'd be able to best in him combat. His magic was strong, but he would not last long outside the dark courts, where his power was centrally located. Many dark elves knew this, and that was also why he always sent his minions out rather than leaving his court...

Beira's anger flared up after hearing that Rika, her most powerful warrior unsurpassed by any other in the faerie courts, had become a member of the Dark court. However, her anger was not directed at Rika instead her anger was with Shido. Rika would never swear allegiance to the Dark court if she hadn't been tricked into it. "We can always take them back." Beira told him with a smirk. "It would be unlikely that the Summer and Winter courts form an alliance but you have something we both want and we're prepared to go through great lengths to get them back." With that, Beira ended the conversation and the mirror showed Shido's reflection once more.

"Queen Beira never makes empty threats." Rika spoke. A part of her actually wanted Beira to come and save her. Although she swore allegiance to the Dark court, it did not mean that Rika did not think fondly of the Queen. After her father had died in battle, Beira had took her into the castle and trained her to become the warrior that she was. But another part of her was thrilled with the powers that now seemed to flow in her veins. It made her feel more powerful than she ever did in the Winter court.

Summer remained silent as she hugged her knees to her chest, trying to cover up as much of her skin as she could. Her now-violet eyes gazed up at Shido, waiting for whatever it was that he would tell her to do. She wondered whether they would still be kept in the dungeon and in cages like earlier in the day. The darkness in the dungeons frightened her and the uncertainty in her future scared her even more.

Shido just laughed when she continued to threaten him, before he heard Rika whispered to him, as he moved his hand and pulled her over to him, allowing Beira to see her fully, a true dark elf and also the mark of his very own. "Sorry, but despite what your own wishes might be Queen Beira, there is no longer a Rika in your court, and she will not come back to you, will you Rika?" He asked her as he moved and pulled her onto his lap upon the throne, as his link with her hopefully would get her to agree, and speak of her loyalty to him. Not even the dark courts of course, but him, that would most likely make Beira the angriest.

"As for Summer, it is true. If she was brought back to the Summer courts, she could reswear her allegiance, but perhaps when she learns of what the Summer courts did to her mother and father, you may storm the castle all you wish and you two will return with nothing." He told them, hoping to now back Queen Beira into a corner, to get her to attempt to make a deal with him somehow, to realize that she had been outwitted and that the only way she was going to get her way, was to please him in some way or form.

Beira was not frightened of Shido. Seeing Rika, with her purple eyes, pale white skin and the Dark Court seal on her neck, infuriated the Winter Queen. Rika's words only angered her further. "No, my lord," Rika spoke, a somber tone in her voice. "I serve the Dark Court and you as my only king."

"Dearest Rika," Beira's motherly voice was like ice, stabbing at Rika's heart. "You speak only because of the magical oath that he made you take. But Shido's death will break that oath. I assure you that I will have you back in my court where you belong as I promised your father before he died." Beira looked at Rika like a mother would do a daughter so it was no wonder that wanting Rika back to the Winter Court surpassed the sheer need to have such a powerful warrior on your side. "As for Summer, I cannot be certain of her fate, Shido. I do not expect her decision to be easy but when the time comes that she has to choose between you and her uncle, do not be so foolish to assume that she'd immediately choose your court. No matter what secrets Niall kept from her, he was still the one who took care of her mother and of her when it mattered. He wasn't the one who kidnapped her and forced her into this position either."

Summer was listening intently. Even the Winter Queen knew about what happened to her mother and her father. Beginning to wonder if she was the only who did not know about the truth, she turned to Shido and his magical mirror. She yearned to talk to her uncle to learn the truth from him instead of this absolute stranger who thought that this was all a game. Beira's voice returned as she spoke once more, "I swear to you, Shido, the Winter and Summer courts will not rest until we get them back."

He watched as the Winter Queen continued not to relent as he sighed a little, not enjoying the fact that she gave no ground. "My death will mean her death, you surely know. Do not think I would be so stupid that such an simple answer would fix things like this. Plus, there is also quite the matter of you entering my court in the first place, which despite both your and the Summer's best efforts, have continued to fail. However, I have a little offer to you. Surely you understand that I have taken both of these girls not to just infuriate both of your courts. I intend to make one of them my bride, and with such I would gladly return them to their respective courts, and perhaps have a truce." He told her, wondering if the Queen would have any of such.

Currently he still needed to gather more information of how both courts would react to such a decision by him. After all, he knew they were both infuriated that he had stolen them... but then again, now that they were here, and he was extending his hand... it would be a much easier solution to a problem which could cost many lives. And of course, the population of Fae was already beginning to dwindle in the world. While it was likely the Summer's had the largest court... the combination of half-breeds was also taking its toll upon their community.

"You can't make them both your brides, Shido. Even in your court, marriage is considered to be a sacred act. Either way, one of the courts would become the losing end." Beira smirked, looking at Rika. "How can I be assured that you would take my Rika as your bride? For all I know, you could keep her as your warrior and the Summer girl as your bride. Wouldn't that mean that you would be making a truce with the Summer Court instead of mine? That would most assuredly put me in a position where I would lose this long-fought war. You know how much I hate losing. I will only make a truce with you once I'm certain that I will not lose in this war and that means you'd have to choose Rika as your bride and dispose of the Summer girl. Will you do that to ensure my loyalty?"

Rika froze. Beira would sacrifice her to ensure that she would win the war. She would have gladly handed her over if it meant winning the war. Summer had a similar reaction. Could it truly be possible that with the offer of the truce from the Winter Court, one that Shido seemed to want, the game would be over and she would be disposed of?

Beira seemed to be liking her idea even more as she began to convince Shido that killing Summer would be the best thing to do. "Besides, Shido, you do know that killing Summer would bring about the end of the Summer Court. Niall is too old to have offspring of his own now. And Summer is the only one in their bloodline fit to be on their throne. Her cousin is half-human, certainly not fit to rule a kingdom of fae. If you kill her now, there is no future left for the Summer court."

He smiled at her as he seemed to think about such a deal, but it was clear at least to him that he wasn't going to accept it. No, he wouldn't play by her terms, and he knew that while her words could be trusted, her intentions were not aligned with his at all. "As of now, I will not choose which one of the girl's will become my bride. Both will get their fair chance, your dear little Rika included. There will be no assurances and they will stay in my court until I make my decision. The Summer court has its problems, but I hear that your own court is growing thin on the warrior bloodline, and of course... your forces will stop listening if you don't have a harsh Queen such as yourself behind the helm. Perhaps instead of threatening, you might see to gain from helping me make my decision." He told her, enjoying the two's reaction to the Winter Queen's dealings with him.

Perhaps they didn't understand, but they were hot commodities, and in order to deal with Shido, their lives, while both protected and helped by the royal family, was not as important as they might think. Beira had made quite a large mistake in crossing such a barrier, and she would pay dearly for doing so. He was not really interested in Killing either of them, in fact... even when one lost, he would not resort to such the lowest form as disposing them. They would continue to work under him, as both would always be useful as tie-in's to the other courts.
