Koda pulled into the driveway of his brand new home, looking up at it through his windshield. It was old and tiny, but it was a two story with three bedrooms and one and a half baths that he got for practically rocks and twigs. His agent was hesitant to give it to him at first, saying it needed a lot of tender loving care and a lot of rework. He didn't really care, as long as the power worked and the pipes weren't rotting out from within, he would do what he could for the place. She also said that a lot of the past owners she sold the house to never stayed long. "Too massive a job" she had said. If you aren't willing to put in the work, his dad has always said. He climbed out of his truck and moved to unlock the door. This was home now. It was nice, quaint even. He could really make this his own, maybe meet a nice girl and start a family here. He took a breath and moved to start lugging in all his boxes; he would make the time to unpack tomorrow.
