"Overtime, gotta love it." Xavier's Captain on Rescue 2 commented as they returned to the station mid-morning, nearly 3 hours beyond their normal shift change at 7am. It had been a technically challenging, and fortunately totally successful rescue. He and the rest of Rescue Company 2 were feeling pretty good about themselves. He sometimes tried to emulate the more senior veteran's and act like it was just another day on the job, this what the taxpayer paid them for. But Xavier could rarely hide the goofy grin that betrayed he would do this for free if it really came down to it. But it happened to pay reasonably well, and for the last 3 hours it paid 1.5 x well, which wasn't a bad thing. He would miss Anna for breakfast, but with their anniversary approaching, he could use the extra cash. He wanted something special for her this year, something they could look back fondly on for years to come and remember how special this time in their lives was. They were young and in love and eager to experience every bit of it and in an exciting and diverse city like this, it was easy to find such things and at times the people to enjoy them with. Despite their marital commitments, they both had a craving for more than 2 bodies in their sex life. They had acted on this impulse a few times with another couple, but wanted to explore it more thoroughly but weren't quite sure how to go about it. After a nice shower and more casual clothes, he packed his bag and set off on his long board, his preferred mode of transportation in the city.

He knew the city well of course, it was a job requirement after all, but it came in handy at times. He made a slight diversion to an Art Co-Op in the district, hoping for some creative ideas as to what to do for their anniversary. He was no artist, but he appreciated such things on some level even if he would say Anna was all the art he needed whenever she expressed an interest in something. It wasn't a lie, the way she moved was an art as far as he was concerned, it was part of what attracted him to her. He slung the board over his back and stepped inside the large inviting overhead door that showed it was open for business. The open air 'stalls' for lack of a better word, each held space for an eclectic array of artisans from classical painting and sculpture to less typical arts like glass blowing, or nail art. While he wasn't much for even a manicure, let alone nail art himself, Anna might enjoy it but mostly his eye was attracted to he pretty brunette getting her nails done and the cute redhead practicing their art.

As this venue was often as much about watching as buying and selling, he wasn't shy about approaching the two and getting a better look. "Beautiful." he said as the brunette noticed him apparently admiring the results. But as his eyes shifted to the redhead doing the painting he quipped "the nails look great too." He had a ready smile and while Xavier was in top physical condition, his demeanor was neither threatening or overbearing. That was something he liked about his line of work, it required strength and courage (and no small amount of skill), but not the toxic bravado that sometimes ran through other traditionally 'manly' jobs. @Cute Bunny @SMG9000

He lingered long enough for the two to strike up a conversation if they were so inclined but soon continued his view of the place. As he circled back, across the opposite side from the nail artist he noticed a striking painting. It stopped him in his tracks. It was quite sexual but so well done that it wasn't exactly lewd, at least not in his opinion. It struck him on two levels, one his desire to capture Anna just the way she is now, but also the scene was suggestive of just the kind of thing they were wanting to explore. A collection of unique and diverse people sharing an intimate moment. He didn't see the artist right away but he really wanted Anna to see this. He sent her a quick text. "How about meeting me for lunch?" @AndNich123

He then returned to the painting that had so struck him and admired it, taking it the many details and characters it contained. It focused his attention such that he was somewhat oblivious to the ongoing bustle within the Co-Op. @MsBloom

Coming back into the city on their motorcycle after an overnight trip to their parents and their younger sister who was just about to go off to college Leonora and their girlfriend Jaz were first delayed by an accident just after the freeway exit and were rerouted around the outer ring that encircled the city. They arrived into the center from almost the opposite direction they usually came back from. This had made them late and instead of first going home for a shower and a change of clothes they dropped off Jaz at the art supply store where she worked part time. Only then did Leo go back home, showered, and changed. They were running late as well but unlike Jaz they didn't have a punch in time to keep.

An hour later, sometime just after 11am they walked into the co-op where they had a stall that acted like something of a gallery for their paintings. There was an atmosperic ambient music hovering in the open space that one might barely notice unless one actually stopped to listen for it. In a way it was more like audio design rather than music, it was like wallpaper or carpeting, but it helped create a mood at the co-op that was both calm and subtly exciting.

They picked up a coffee from Brandon at the bar and put it on their tab. They raised a hand and waved at Lexi as they passed him. The two of them had known each other for a few years. They had started at the university at the same time and being the only two non-binary students in their class had quickly become friends.

It was a few months into their freshman year they had met Jaz when shopping for art supplies. Her major was literature and the two had spent their first night together talking about Kathy Acker and queer literature in general over two bottles of wine and a few joints after which they had then made love as the sun rose through the windows of Leo's small loft, where they now lived together.

They then stopped a few steps away from their stall and looked at the man standing there looking at their latest finished painting: The Rituals of Lust. At first they only saw him from behind and with an approving nod to themselves concluded that the man did have a very nice ass. He also seemed quite entranced by their painting and they had to clear their throat twice before he noticed them standing there. They didn't mind though. They quite enjoyed watching people looking at their work, read their reactions, what part they appeared to focus most on, and if they were not alone they also enjoyed listening to people talk about their work without knowing they were listening. People were rarely entirely honest in how they expressed their opinions if they knew the artist was within earshot.

If he had looked close enough and noticed the seated naked figure, with an above average flaccid penis resting against their thigh, just a hint of breasts breaking up the otherwise masculine physique, a glass of wine in one hand and a cigarette between its lips, at the back on the left edge on the canvas he might perhaps recognise them when he turned around.

"Quickly. Quickly. Alright," she exhaled deeply, her tone still soft and her face soft, a smile melting across, clearly expressing her joy at what was taking place. "First position," her voice beamed, her back upright, strong, just as her tone was. "No. No. Tiffany. Your feet don't go side by side. You're not a soldier preparing to march. You are a beautiful bird on the verge of taking flight. Your heels should be kissing." An instant eruption caused the smile on her face to broaden. "Perfect," she praised the sweet little girl with long brown hair. "Now remember your arms. They should be curved, relaxed as if you're holding a bunch of....what girls?" In unison, and quite loudly, the response came. "Flowers!" Her smile split, allowing a soft laugh to escape. "That's right. Flowers." She demonstrated, and her students quickly followed suit. "Relaxed Gabby. You're as stiff as a....," her voice trailed, knowing she knew the answer. A soft giggle broke through the silence among the class. "Board," she answered softly. "I'm stiff as a board Mrs. Anna." Anna nodded and watched as the blonde with a perfect bun began to relax her arms and shoulders. "Now dance is beautiful, it's expressive, it's your chance to shine," she began as she moved down the bar that was lined with the smiling faces she had grown to know and love. Coming to a stop just behind Gabby, she reached over and began to loosen the hair that was clearly tightly arranged. "But above all class, it should always be fun." Her fingers straightened the little girl's locks as best she could. "Now. Much better. There will be time for perfection, time for not a single hair out of place, but guess what? That time is not now. Now is the time," she began moving backward from the students, "for being kids. For learning. For having fun, and I want to make sure you do all of that here, with me. Got it," she asked, her fingers pointing towards the smiling faces watching her. "Yes Mrs. Anna," they replied. "Guys. Guys. Guys. Guys. Come on," she spoke, her tone one of mock exasperation. "Got it," she repeated, her eyebrows raised with a quizzical expression on her face. "Got it, Mrs. Anna." This time the answer was the correct one. "Good," she praised them. "Now," her tone changed instantly. "First position. Heels kissing, arms loose holding those lovely flowers all of you brought for me," she teased. Soft giggles sounded out. "JC, hand off the bar, please. Thank you. Now Tendu." She watched as the girls mimicked her own movements. A sea of right toes pointing out, sliding out, returning back to the start position. "Tendu. Left foot. That's good. Now let's do this eight times per side. Count it off girls. One and two and three and four. Other foot." She counted off the movements for the class, each student moving at their own pace but still, all were close to unison. "Good job class. Good job. Now, hands to the bar. It's time to work on how we Plie." JC's face lit up as she grabbed the bar. Anna of course noticed, and she acknowledged the little girl with a wink. "Don't forget to really bend at the knees girls. Eight once more, and this time JC will be counting us off. JC, when you're ready please."

The class lasted for an hour. At the conclusion, Anna spoke a few words of praise to each child as she handed them a bottle of water. "It's important class to take care of our...." The answer came as loudly as the others had. "Bodies!" She nods to them. "That's right. Bodies." Parents began showing up to pick up their children. Once more Anna took a moment to speak to each and everyone, letting them know how their child was doing in the class. They were appreciative. Anna turned around and the room was suddenly quiet and empty. She slowly walked through the room, taking in everything that she loved. There was a softness here, a warmth that she loved to wrap up with, allowing it encompasses her. Her feet made no sound as she came to a rest. Her fingers touched the buttons until music filled the room. She began to move, like water flowing through the space. Gracefully her body began to tell some unwritten story that she was writing. It was a release. It was her release. Becoming lost in this was so easy to do. The barriers of society, of a confining world, of any problems, or stress, or anything that didn't make sense, always melted away until nothing was left but her and the music. Each movement had a word, an emotion, that she conveyed. Peace took the place of any unwanted thoughts. Her muscles felt both the strain from the dance as well as the release it so graciously showered upon her.

When it came to a conclusion, she was looking to the floor. Slowly lifting her eyes, she noticed the time. It was getting later on in the day. The class had long ended. Her body glistened with sweat from her own efforts. Reaching inside her bag, she pulled a white towel with which she blotted the sweat from her skin. Finding her phone she read his text. Lunch. It seemed like a good idea. She had certainly earned it, and so had he. He had been absent at breakfast, something that didn't raise any suspicions. His work was important, to both him and the city. He was important. That was why she struggled to come up with a gift for their anniversary. Anna saw him placed on a pedestal, so high that it was almost impossible to find anything that was worthy of him. Somehow, for some reason she still couldn't believe, he had found her worthy. He would never know or understand, what she saw when she looked at him. Though it had been a while since they met, she still felt those same butterflies when his eyes met hers. Breathless. He literally took her breath.

She gathered her things and waved goodbye to another teacher across the hall. There were no more classes for her for the rest of the day. So it was easy for her to leave and spend time with her husband. On this particular day, she only had her morning class. Most days the classes were later in the day. Those were days she enjoyed as well, but those days allowed her to go home and sink into relaxation at home. She headed down the sidewalk towards the location she was to meet Xavier. Waving at people she knew along the way, Anna felt happy. It wasn't an uncommon feeling. The shops along the way, the people, they were all familiar. Walking these streets was a common occurrence. Often Anna didn't take a car to get around. There was a certain joy in connecting with everything the city offered that she found she could only get by walking. A car was too impersonal. Connection. She craved it. Perhaps that was what drew her to Xavier. She could connect with him, and she did, right from the start, at first glance, when their eyes met. Thinking back on the day, she found herself smiling, beaming. It was then she came to the place where he was. She had been past this place before but never went inside. Glad for the chance, she headed through the people, admiring the things offered there. It was the experience she had hoped it would be to go inside. Clearly, this would be a place she would visit again. There was an ambiance here that she found attractive. The people, the feel of everything here, drew her in, like a moth to a flame. She gravitated towards him, with silent steps as to not arouse him of her presence. A quick glance at the item that had captured his attention was all she allowed herself. She was more interested in surprising him. Her fingers quickly moved in front of his eyes. "Guess who," she whispered in his ear, before gently kissing it, and then awaiting his reaction.

Alexander Nailo or Lexi to pretty much everyone, sat at his stall carefully adding small touches to the simple wildflowers scene he was painting on the customers nails. Lexi loved painting nails, ever since he was little, and he got into his sister's nail polish. He ended up painting her nails, there mother's nails and even his sister's friends. All loved what he did, that on top of his regular sketching and painting were all signs that Lexi was a talent with a brush. After graduating high school, he went off to art school to study. Many people think of art school is where you learn to do art, and that is wrong, art school is where you learn to make a living of your art. Something Lexi was still struggling to figure out.

Lexi was still trying to find a way to make what he liked to do something he could live from. Lexi had a stack of business cards from pretty much every nail salon in the city that had offered him a position. Lexi politely denied all of them since with school and this co-op project he didn't want to overwhelm himself. Lexi did sell his artificial nail art to many of the business and with that and the co-op Lexi was able to stay financially above water, well not sink as much as some other students.

Lexi smiled back at Leonora as she walked by, Lexi returned the wave as he moved his focus back to the customer. Leo and their girlfriend Jaz were very nice people. Leo was a great help in as Lexi's early college life. They helped him learn more about the Queer alphabet and helped him better identify himself.

"This is wonderful Ma'am! You're a very talented woman." Lexi's customer said admiring her nails before stuffing some bills in Lexi's jar of tips. Lexi didn't charge a set price here but instead have his customers donate by

"Oh, thank you, if you like my art you can follow me here, I also have a list of places I supply with artificial nails from time to time." Lexi explained handing the woman a small business card with Lexi's social medias.

Lexi smiled as the woman left eyeing Xavier like he was one of the art exhibits before moving on to the other stalls. Many customers and people identified Lexi as girl, something that didn't bother him. Lexi himself always felt people can identify him as whatever they like, as long as they were kind about it. Lexi didn't put much weight into pronouns in general, A subject he often was at odds with the larger queer community with. Lexi would never call someone by a pronoun they didn't want to be called but when it came to his personal pronouns and identifiers, Lexi never corrected or asked people to call him by something. If people though as him as her, that was fine by him. If they though of him as him then that was fine too.

Lexi looked at Xavier and gave a kind shy smile. "Why thank you, if your nails done, I can always make room for you sir." Lexi said in a soft voice which didn't really identify his gender. Lexi watched as he sends the text, "I work by donations so if you want a partner's nails done, I can help with that too. I could also help both of you but that may take a few hours depending on how complex of a job you want done. Here you can take one of my cards."

While Xavier had been raised rather conservatively, he knew the culture of the city well enough not to assume too much regarding genders and appearances. It wasn't at all obvious the customer was wrong about the cute redhead, though he himself would have more likely chosen 'miss' than ma'am as he saw more girl than woman. The fact that the redhead didn't correct the customer somewhat reinforced that thought, but could also just be good business. He thought the tip jar was clever, the well to do often paid more voluntarily than they might ever consider being a reasonable price. But from what he had seen, the artist had a talent that could be difficult to put a price upon and what would their gender matter anyway, art was art. He smiled kindly at the customer, ignoring the rather eyeing up, it was hardly the first and it did sort of amuse him without going to his head.

They shared a moment alone together and Lexi's smile was shy but bright, regardless of gender, quite attractive. Xavier was a little surprised at the invitation to get his nails done. "I uh, well I'm afraid it would disrespect your craft on my beat up hands." He said, holding them out and while his nails were well trimmed, one was a dark bruise and several other fingers had cuts and scrapes showing a man who worked with his hands for a living. He didn't want to admit fearing what his captain or the rest of the crew might say if he showed up with flowers on his fingers. "Maybe if you did toes?" He said with a laugh and wiggled his lower digits jokingly though it would be a hell of a surprise for Anna some night. "I'm going to invite her here for lunch so maybe we will stop by later? Are you here all day?" He asked with more than token curiosity.

@MsBloom

Xavier was quite fascinated with the painting, examining it in detail, so that he did miss the artist's arrival at first. Had Anna been there they would have had quite an animated conversation, the images fit so closely to what they had only privately discussed. They had experimented with other couples, but found it not quite what they were looking for. After all it was still pretty much the same kind of sex, just with different partners. This though, was something quite different, something the felt unique to this particular city at this particular time.

The more obvious clearing of the throat caused him to turn and to see an attractive and puzzlingly familiar face. "Oh hello there." He said, stepping back a bit but more as a courtesy than any embarrassment with just how closely he had been examining the work. The nature of the art co-op made it not entirely clear what role this person had here, if they were shopping themselves or perhaps...

He turned suddenly back to the painting to look, his eyes scanning then focusing on the left edge. He had noticed that figure especially and the likeness couldn't be a coincidence. "Is that, you?" He asked with a look of wonder like a child seeing something uniquely interesting for the first time. Turning back he apologized. "Sorry I was just trying to figure out where I'd seen you before. You're a model?" He did his own check out at the attractive and mostly masculine person before them. "I mean you sure look like a model." It was meant as a compliment but it was clear he was a little befuddled but also very curious.

He would be surprised to learn they were the artist as well. "So you don't have to actually be looking at the scene to create it?" His interest would likely appear more than idle. "Do you use pictures, photos I mean?"

@AndNich123
He was intriqued enough that he was surprised yet again by someone coming upon him from behind. He of course had a very good guess as to who it was, in fact he need not guess at all. He immediately turned from the artist/model to his lovely wife, embracing her. He didn't think it would seem rude, or he hoped not, it was after all the love of his life joining them, certainly this person understood love.

"Honey, this is... Damn, I'm sorry I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Xavier, Xavier Rollins and this is my wife Anna." He said in the way of formal introductions. "We were just admiring this latest work, what do you think Anna?" His own approval was obvious but he hoped it wouldn't sway her too much, that and the artist being right there as well.

"I had been wanting to get something special to remember how you are this first year. Wondering if you would consider posing. But seeing this, how alive it feels, I wonder if we wouldn't pose together?" It was a bit much to spring on her, but then again they both knew how much they were interested in finding something more adventurous. They weren't exactly shy when it came to sex, even sex with others, and sexual content. He was almost certain she would love the idea as much as he did, otherwise he wouldn't have sprung it on her like this. "I don't know that anyone can capture what it is like for me to be with you, but if anyone can, I think it might be Leo here."

"That is indeed my very self," Leonora said in an exaggeratedly ceremoniously way but with a smile and and a polite nod at the man who might just be their next customer.
Unlike Lexi they didn't allow for their customers to choose the value of their work for themselves, at least not entirely. It was more of a negotiation where the customer first named a price and most times they adjusted it until they either reached ann agreement or the deal fell through. There had however not yet been any mention of a potential purchase so rather than bringing up the possible value of the painting they instead corrected the man in front of them, perhaps not as impressive from the front as from behind but still worth a look.
"Not a model no. I am the artist having inserted myself into my own work. It is a thing of mine you could say. I do make an appearance in most of my larger scale paintings."

They then went on to explain that they did in part work from photos but whenever possible using live models. Sensing that part of his question related to whether they staged these orgies and then painted them they also explained that the scenes depicted in their art were not staged all at once but done in parts. They went on to explain that many of the people in the painting they were now both looking at were mostly students or friends of theirs or of their girlfriend's. Some were ex-lovers others were not.

They then took their painter's eye to him and examined him more deliberately, his face, ruggedly handsome, his hands with all their little signs of manual labour, imagining those hands against a flawlessly smooth feminine skin, or perhaps cupped over the muscular but smooth chest of a male while the two kissed over the other male's shoulder. They also tried to imagine what the man might look like under his clothes. He did seem to be quite fit but they knew that appearances could at times deceive.

@AndNich123 / @xavierrol

They then turned their head to look at the beautiful slim woman approaching them and smiled as it soon became apparent that she was heading towards him. Perhaps his wife or girlfriend. There was something about her, the way she moved as if floating through the air rather than walking. She must be a dancer, Leonora thought to themselves. There was no other explanation for the flow of her movement. She was also absolutely stunning and in their mind's eye they now knew that this was the bare skin against which they wanted to portray the man's rough looking hands, perhaps partially cupping her small breasts, leaving the nipples visible through his fingers. It might be a more intimate scene than the one on display, a man and a woman deeply in love with each other. They imagined the painting to be life sized and perhaps set in a forest by a small pond from which they had both just risen after a swim, their skins and hair still wet, the sun catching them and embracing them in a warm glow.

"Where are my manners though," they said as the woman stopped by the man's side.
"Leonora O'Sullivan," They said and extended a hand towards the couple.

Catherine was next in line to have her nails done and she watched the exchange between the manicurist and handsome young man with a curiosity. When it was her turn to take her seat, she still had a small smirk on her face. "Well, he seemed quite into you. I'm not sure how his girlfriend would feel about that though." She said with a quiet playfulness.

Catherine would be spending the evening at Robert's place that night, and a fresh manicure was in preparation for their simple date night. She always tried to look her best for him to keep him happy, but today she wanted to go the extra mile. He had promised her that he had a special gift for her that evening, and she loved nothing more than the butterflies she got at being taken care of and spoiled by the older man.

"I have a date tonight." Catherine explained the manicurist. "So whatever you can do to leave a lasting impression would rock." She held out her hands for examination. Typically, she preferred to keep her nails in a shorter oval shape and tended towards darker shades of polish. But who knows that the manicurist might suggest for her.
