what are those rp ideas you have that only you really want to write?

yeah, like normally, I assume it's a new show trending when I see people advertising such a same item. But the series is like 13 years old. Has it recently been brought back on Netflix or some other such streaming service?

As far as I know, no. This idea came to me after playing Exoprimal and Anthem and wanting very desperately to justify people in power armor fighting dinosaurs and exploring a hostile environment.

When the Fury Road Mad max movie came out, i had hoped to see more postapocalyptic group RPs spring up. But it did not seem to catch on. Niether did I see any sci-fi settings in DUNE analog. Alien: Romulus recently came out and was amazing! Yet, i have yet to see anything that beckons to its narrative and theme.

I dunno... I think I just no longer understand what the younger gen of RPers are into nowadays. I see a lot of Harry Potter and Isekai stuff... to which I gag. Never been my thing, but they remain popular.

I suppose the last time I saw freeform group RPs catch fire was after James Cameron's Avatar. The first one. People went nuts and whole forums spun up primarily focused on RPing in that setting. Despite the second having solid sales I didn't see that revive.

gotcha. That was definitely some time ago. I think I do vaguely remember seeing a few "AVATAR" RPs advertised a while back, though mostly in non-adult places.

I actually couldn't get through the second movie. But they sure did make a shit-ton of merchandise for it.

Aside from my sci-fi idea:
  • something wholesome and cute, but at the same time a little smutty
  • playing opposite an android girl in a semi-futuristic setting
  • science fiction featuring powered armor
  • fighting kaiju using giant mecha?
 
I feel anything remotely associated with bestial aka me rping a human male against a female bestial rped by someone else. It never seems to work out and not to say I haven't rped it but pretty sure it isn't really there for some people and it often kind of goes passed over.

Right now I'm trying to do this monster academy idea and I really want it to work out but perhaps I am the only one wishing for it to come to fruition. Original ideas seem good at first but people tend to pass it over so maybe I'm the only one wanting to do it.

Boruto, not a lot of people want to rp in that world as there is quite a lot of dislike for that setting and period of time in the Shinobi life. I think people tend to prefer like Shippuden or such over Boruto. I have no qualms with Boruto however and maybe that is what makes it where i seem to enjoy it more somehow; not because people don't like it, but, because I have nothing against it.

Sonic the hedgehog: I tried but seems I was the only one wanting to do something in it.

Obviously my list can go on and on but far be it for me to do so. If I think of any others I can make another list but these are just some in which yeah seems I was the only one wanting to rp that. Still perhaps there are others who have pitched similar things that they too also felt inclined to share as to being the only one and I am not taking anything from them...plus...this is page 12 so maybe I already posted in here or someone also posted these ideas; in which case we have something similar going on then.
 
There's this idea I've been dying to try, but no one from the sites I usually frequent want to try it. It's a story-heavy premise, with very little smut. It involves a mix of a modern thriller story, something like Mission Impossible, with a typical fantasy adventure. The Fae have been secretly assassinating nobility and key, powerful figures throughout the world's kingdoms. A changeling and a spy must go on an adventure to stop the fae plot from reaching fruition, and failure would mean the fae courts ruling the prime material plane.
 
Got an idea off an older D&D game i DMed. A kelpie holds and entire fishing village hostage until they give it what it wants, but in this case there would be no heros. No to save the maiden from the beast

Of course there is a twist. The kelpie isn't the 'evil monster' the village is
 
It tends to feel like anything I'm particularly craving to write is always the thing no one else is into doing, lmao.

But aside from that, I have, in the past, had *extremely specific* RPs I've done that were meticulously plotted out and then died for one reason or another. Most of them are just very high-concept things that were designed for a very specific purpose, and simply aren't really viable outside of the context of myself and the person who came up with the idea, so I can never search for them again.
 
At times, it feels a lot of my fandom ideas are this with the lack of success or so on with them. Few attention I get with the RPs end up dying so it just becomes demotivating at times.
 
I suppose for me one would be incest in fandoms...seems like not a lot of interest in that. Who knows maybe my current RT will come through but given my constant switching of ideas to gain some traction we shall see.
