Touma took note too of every little thing he could; she recognized the car, as well as keeping a mental note of the areas she did seem to know as Yuri talked it out of her casually.
"Mm!" Touma answered with a nod to Tsukiko's question, only taking a beat to come up with his excuse. "My uh.. Parents were always pretty sheltering" lied Touma, "Yuri helped me out of that shell" he said somehow a bit more genuinely in comparison as he looked to Yuri with a kind closed-eye smile. Touma let Yuri explain away the rest as not to cross their stories too much, that always left open chances for contradiction.
Touma couldn't help but snicker as they got out of the car when Yuri picked on Tsukiko playfully. "Aha... Sorry I don't mean to laugh" he genuinely apologized as he waved a hand casually. That hand covered his lips as they curled into a smirk knowingly when Yuri mentioned her 'spicy' topics before explaining her way out of it quickly. Yuri knew how to talk, not that Touma was all that shy, but Yuri had a way of slipping her words in fast and turning conversations her way at a whim that he couldn't replicate. In a way it was fun to watch her work, to do so purposely to gain the advantage.
The brunette sat next to Yuri across from Tsukiko, too polite to crowd her so suddenly after meeting her in normal company, even despite their objective. He'd been watching, really 'watching' Tsukiko this whole time but he had a moment to really sit on what he felt from her here. The weakness of it would be obvious, this Tsukiko never had activated a Dying Will, like most she technically didn't have flames to speak of but the potential for them. What he and Yuri were feeling was that potential, and while it wasn't openly vast like one would see of one with conclusively immense potential, it was... vague, just out of sight, it... Had room to grow so to speak. A rare trait in of itself.
When the waitress arrived sweet as could be, Touma ordered a plate of finger sandwiches. "Could I have some peppers on them?" He asked with a twinkle in his eye, "oh! Also some hot sauce if you have any?" Touma loved spicy food, the hotter the better.
When the food inevitably came, Touma was quick to shake out drop after drop of hot sauce onto his sandwiches. Upon getting looks he blushed lightly and chuckled, "Aha... Sorry I love hot food" he clarified bashfully.
