Aileen recovered quite nicely in a short time after giving birth to their daughter. She was up and about in no time doing her duty as the lady of the house, and she made as much time as she could to be with Annelise. She was so tiny and fragile when Ludwig held the infant, but she was just as precious to him as Aileen was. He would do everything he could for both of them to be happy.
Ludwig was discussing winter planning with the head maid when Wilhelm approached him.
