"Well, you don't drink with me," Katsuki muttered, pushing his face against Shoto's as he was shoved away. Like hell he was going to be pushed away that easily.

"Who do you think it's going to be?" he grinned widely. "Sparky's date." Katsuki wasn't normally so invested in drama and he wasn't now, but he was a little curious. Sparky hadn't exactly shut up about it all the other times it was brought up, after all. He peeled off Shoto to change into a pair of dark pants and a thick hoodie with a denim jacket on top.

"Because both of us drunk sounds like a really bad idea," he defended.

He sat there for a moment even after Katsuki had gotten off of him. Now that he thought about it, even after listening to Kaminari talk about the guy he liked, he'd never heard a name.

"Huh," he said. "I don't know. Notice him staring after anyone in gym?"

He chose a pair of dark burgundy pants for himself, and a gray hoodie that was actually Katsuki's but he'd claimed it as his awhile ago, tugging a tan thigh length jacket on over it. He threw his scarf on too, because he'd managed to wear it every day over break and he wasn't about to stop.

"Why the hell would I stare at that blond idiot the whole time? Like I don't have my own shit to do?" Katsuki scoffed. Even if his words were terse around the edges, Katsuki was noticeably less mean around Shoto. Old habits died hard, though, and he still managed to be an asshole sometimes.

He noticed how Shoto wore that scarf everyday and grinned a little to himself. It was pretty flattering, honestly. "Both of us drunk sounds hot," Katsuki corrected him. Neither of them drove, so he couldn't see why they couldn't get shit-faced at an izakaya if they wanted to.

"You like checking guys out when they're exercising, don't you?" Katsuki muttered.

Shoto rolled his eyes, but didn't snap back. There was no point to. It was probably only because he'd just talked to Mina that he was feeling so nosy himself anyway.

He hums noncommitedly about the idea of both of them drunk. He wasn't even sure he'd managed to get drunk before ... tipsy, buzzed, sure. He'd had enough over Christmas to get warm and fuzzy around the edges. But he wasn't sure he'd been as drunk as he'd seen Katsuki.

The mutter catches his attention and he shoots his boyfriend a look while he brushes his bangs out of his eyes and tugs a dark beanie on. "Bother you?"

Katsuki didn't really know if it bothered him. The simple answer was yes, but it sounded pretty lame that he'd trip over that kind of stuff. Even so, it didn't feel any better thinking his boyfriend was checking out other guys at the gym, or wherever the occasion arose that a half-naked dude was in sight.

"You just mention it a lot," he said as he slipped on his sneakers and tapped the toe to the ground to fit it on right. "Checking me out at the races, you think Sparky's got his eyes on someone at the gym."

He pushed open the door with his foot, leaving it open for Shoto.

"When else are you going to get the chance to see the guy you like half naked and sweaty?" he answers, and as he walks out the door he leans in to whisper against Katsuki's ear, "unless it's in the bedroom."

He puts his hands in his pockets as he starts down the hallway, and throws an amused look over his shoulder. "If it makes you feel any better, the only person I've checked out at the gym since I was fifteen, is you."

He wasn't a saint, he'd noticed other guys that might have caught his attraction on occasion, but compared to the guy he had, they paled in comparison. It was like the difference between having instant ramen and the real stuff. Why settle?

"Tch," Katsuki mumbled as he took Shoto's hand, pulling it out of his pocket to hold possessively. "You're never going to the gym with me." Because if Katsuki saw Shoto staring blankly at some half-naked dude, he'd flip his shit.

He didn't know when he'd started to get so possessive but it was irritating to him. He'd never felt insecure when it came to his battle prowess or just how much potential he had as a hero, but when it came to looks or even his body, he suffered from insecurity just like the rest of the guys his age.

When they got closer to the izakaya that they were supposed to be meeting Denki at, Katsuki squinted as he saw some purple-haired guy next to him at the stall. "Eh?" That was Shinsou, wasn't it?!

Maybe he was irking it on because he kind of liked the possessiveness. Or, liked it a lot. One day he'd stop lying to himself about that.

The walk was nice, especially with Katsuki's hand wrapped around his, but his steps stuttered the moment he recognized the guy the same time his boyfriend did.

"That's Shinsou, isn't it?" He asks, and a little awe creeps into his normally blank tone. He was actually impressed. Shinsou was about as easy to talk to as Shoto was. "No wonder Kaminari was nervous."

"The hell do you mean, 'no wonder Kaminari was nervous'? He ain't shit," Katsuki huffed, going right up to the two nonchalantly. The izakaya was pretty bustling for a normal Thursday evening, and Kaminari eagerly waved his friends over.

Shinsou also raised a hand in greeting but didn't say much else. They had a small booth to themselves, with a grill at the center where the other two had already ordered some small plates of squid and mushrooms to have cooking.

Katsuki had Shoto slide into the booth seat first, slipped in next, then ordered some more drinks.

"Hey, Bakugo, right?" Shinsou asked, and Bakugo grumbled, still wary of the other male's Quirk. The purple-haired male seemed to take note of his caution and chuckled. "Don't worry. I won't use my Quirk. That's a little unfair," he said.

"The hell, Sparky?" Katsuki muttered. "When the fuck did you and this creep start fucking?"

Kaminari shot Shoto a wide eyed look but he just stared back blankly. He was the one who was friends with Katsuki, he knew what he was getting into with his attitude. Kirishima probably would have been a better wingman, but he supposed Kaminari had wanted the support of someone else dating a guy to join them.

It's only because of that that he takes a bit of pity on him and says, "Not everyone fucks before they date, Katsuki." Just because they had didn't mean they were normal. After a moment of consideration, he realizes he doesn't even actually know if Kaminari did ask Shinsou on a date. Maybe he'd just asked if they could get dinner as a group of friends. He figures if he gets corrected he'll adjust accordingly.

"Hello," he says to Shinsou, attempting to be polite. But he doesn't know what to say after that. He draws a blank, forgetting everything Mina taught him about meeting new people. Shinsou isn't new, but he doesn't think they've ever had a conversation.

Kaminari really needs better friends.

"Hey," Shinsou said to Todoroki, his tone just as aloof and even uninterested as the other male's. "Todoroki."

Katsuki had never really seen the purple-haired creep smile, ever, but he saw a trace of it as Shinsou downed the last of the beer he'd been nursing on.

"Yesterday," Shinsou answered Katsuki plainly. "Though, it wasn't anything to write home about." He said so almost listlessly, tapping the end of his chopsticks against his lower lip as he looked at Bakugo, then Todoroki.

Kaminari elbowed Shinsou, brushing off that burn in good spirits. "Come on, it was my first time!" he laughed. "Besides, how was I supposed to know that we're both..." the blond squeaked out the next part. "Bottoms."

Katsuki nearly snorted his beer through his nose.

"Nobody ever told me that was a thing!" Kaminari complained. "Roki, you should have told me!"

Shoto was torn between being proud of himself for not assuming things incorrectly, and being shocked that apparently he and Katsuki were normal. He would have to double check the data with Mina. Maybe he was missing something. He does know enough about social interactions that his eyes widen at Shinsou's review of their apparently new sex life.

If Katsuki said something like that about sleeping with him, he'd likely freeze himself in a block of ice and never come back out.

"On second thought, maybe I will get drunk with you," he mutters to his boyfriend, reaching across him to grab one of the beers. It's not his favorite drink of choice, he'd rather have something flavored, but he feels like he's going to need alcohol if he's going to survive this dinner.

He's interrupted by Kaminari's complaining and his eyes go wide again. "Me?" he asks. "Why should I have told you?"

"Because you obviously have sex more often than I do!" Kaminari wailed a little too loud for them being in public. The two had already started drinking long before Shoto and Katsuki had arrived so it was fair to say that Kaminari and Shinsou were not exactly in their sober state of mind. "I thought we were friends, Roki."

"The hell do two bottoms do together?" Katsuki laughed, passing Shoto a drink. He'd ordered some bottles of yuzu-flavored sake, too, just for Shoto. "Rub their asses together?"

"At least someone finds it entertaining," Shinsou mumbled, resting his cheek on an open palm. "Anyway, I never would have guessed." Shinsou's lazy gaze turned to Todoroki, then back to Bakugo. "Todoroki makes sense. But you..."

Katsuki's eye twitched ever so slightly. "Don't make it damn weird. Hot is hot."

Kaminari huffed as he noticed Shinsou seemed to be more interested in Bakugo than in him, and glanced to Todoroki like a kicked puppy. "So, what were you and Kacchan doing, anyways?"

Shoto mumbles his thanks when Katsuki hands him a drink he'd like a lot better and takes a chug much larger than he normally would. He's suddenly double guessing his agreement to coming out tonight. Something in the atmosphere isn't sitting right with him.

He doesn't know what it is about Todoroki makes sense that he doesn't like - mostly because he's not entirely sure what it's supposed to mean. He's spent so much time in his own circle lately that he forgot how inept he was at dealing with other people.

He didn't like the look on Kaminari's face either - of all their friends, Kaminari was the one who seemed to be unshakably positive, but his expression now kind of makes Shoto want to hug him.

"Playing video games," he answers, even though he'd yet to touch a controller, he looped himself into the activity. He's not sure what makes him extend the offer without checking with Katsuki - they kind of had a deal about inviting people over since they shared the same space - but he adds, "would you like to join us after this?" he puts just enough emphasis on the 'you' to make it obvious he's really only inviting Kaminari.

Shinsou wasn't one that talked very often, and during high school he'd been just as stubborn about not making friends as the rest of the antisocial lot, but with a few drinks in him, he was asking Bakugo about training, and how he was able to adapt his ability to martial combat. Katsuki liked talking about training but he hadn't gone out to drink just to teach some guy he didn't know that well his tips and tricks.

"No thanks, Roki," Kaminari sighed out loud. "You and Kacchan are probably gonna be busy." The blond looked up quite pitifully at Todoroki and pouted as if he didn't mean what he'd just said, and he would really like to come over.

Katsuki seemed to be relaxing quite a bit, the alcohol loosening him up to the point he leaned back and spread his legs comfortably beneath the table, his limbs unapologetically nudging everyone else's in the crowded space.

Shoto's brow meets together, understanding the look on Kaminari's face only because he knows him so well, but not understanding the refusal. He nods though, and figures he'll ask again when they're headed back to the dorms.

He grunts when Katsuki man spreads, but drops a hand under the table to rest on his boyfriends thigh. Even with the alcohol, he doesn't seem to be relaxing any himself, something still bothering him that he doesn't quite understand. He keeps up conversation with Kaminari though, talking about what they've been up to over the break.

Halfway into the one-sided conversation of Bakugo just bragging about his Howitzer, Shinsou tilted his head and asked coolly. "You should teach me how to fight like you do sometime. I mean, I've learned a few things from Aizawa-sensei myself that I could teach you," Shinsou offered with a lift of his brows, not even paying attention to Todoroki or Kaminari.

"Fuck off," Katsuki snorted, pulling up Shoto's hand on his thigh so it rested on his dick instead. He chugged the last of his beer and immediately reached for another, a yakitori in the other hand that he was chewing off of. "So, you guys are dating or what?" he asked the two.

Kaminari gulped. "We're, uh, we're working on it, I think?"

"We fucked once," Shinsou said plainly. "I don't mind stuff like this, but you're not really my type, Kaminari."

Shoto froze, his chopsticks halfway to his mouth before he slowly sat his bite back down. Finally, it made sense why he was so uncomfortable. What he'd been walking into expecting a double date and perhaps some back up for a friend was definitely something else.

The best part about being bad at social situations was not having to play by their rules.

"No," he says, "Nope." He moves his hand from his boyfriends crotch to push at his shoulder. "Get up, we're leaving." Then he snaps his fingers at Kaminari. Mina would be proud. "You, too. You're coming with us."

He gets out his wallet to throw down enough bills to cover their meal - perhaps even a little over - but he's not waiting around for the tab.

Both Katsuki and Denki were complaining as Shoto roused them up from their seats. Katsuki was stuffing everything on the table into his mouth and chugging the last of the beer in the pitcher, huffing. "What? We just got here!" Katsuki groaned. "Why's he coming?!"

Kaminari was pretty dazed himself, but he got up in a hurry, apologized to Shinsou, and chased after the two as Katsuki was being dragged away. Once they were away from the busy alley and walking down a quieter street, Kaminari sulked a bit, shoulders hunched over.

"Man, I'm such a fuck-up," Denki sighed.

"I'll get you more beer on the way home," Shoto grumbles as they leave. He's on his phone already, texting Mina to make sure he made the right decision. Her answer comes in a flurry of gifs and emojis and the occasional words that yes, he read the situation right, and yes, she's pissed too.

He only looks up when Kaminari speaks, and he gives a rough shake of his head. "No you're not. You picked a dick is all. Aim higher. You can afford to."

He's not entirely sure how Kaminari managed to get Shinsou in his room to begin with. He doesn't think they have much in common. It hurts his head a bit to think about.

He takes a bit of a detour to stop at a corner store for drinks, snacks, and a personal ice cream tub that he shoves at Kaminari's chest.

Katsuki was just grumbling about how he'd been starving, so he stopped by some street cart that was selling oden and takoyaki to buy something to snack on while Kaminari was being pampered by his boyfriend.

"I picked a dick?" Kaminari pouted as he glanced at Katsuki. "You kinda picked the biggest one for yourself, Roki."

Katsuki thankfully didn't hear that as he belched at just the right time.

"I don't- This is too much-" Denki tried to say as snacks after drinks were being piled into his arms. He picked at some pizza flavored potato chips. "Bakugo's pretty lucky to have you, you know that?" Kaminari grinned, already in better spirits for the sake of his friend.

Shoto spared his boyfriend a glance. He got it - Katsuki wasn't for everyone, but he didn't like the word being applied to him. It wasn't worth the argument though, so he just shrugged.

"It goes both ways," he says, getting beers too on their way out. "I'm no walk in the park, he puts up with my shit just as much as I put up with his."

He's quiet for a moment, mouth drawn in a sharp frown. "As rough as Katsuki can be, he'd never talk to me the way Shinsou did you back there."

"That's hard to believe," Kaminari mumbled under his breath, watching Katsuki go off to buy a second boat of takoyaki after finishing the first. "I'm okay, though. Guess I got excited when he seemed interested in me at first. Maybe he thought I was a top." He snorted at the thought.

"Oi," Katsuki burst between them to keep the two apart, his upper lip pulled into a scowl. "You going home or what, Sparky?"

Subconsciously, he offered Shoto a takoyaki on a toothpick, the image a little laughable since the toothpick looked so small in Katsuki's hand.

"Roki said I could come over!" Kaminari said. "He bought me, uh, way too many snacks to eat alone, anyways."

"He's coming over because we're being good friends," Shoto agreed, before leaning over to take the offered takoyaki. He chewed thoughtfully, he was going off of Mina's recommendations on what to do. The only time a date had left him with the same feeling he was having for Denki now was when Katsuki and he had been being awful to each other before. He'd suffered alone, back then.

"Don't be grouchy," he tells his boyfriend. "I got you alcohol and someone to beat in video games. And I'll make it up to you later."

"Tch, we're not friends," Katsuki pointed out, adamant about stuffing himself between the two so Kaminari didn't get any ideas getting close to Shoto.

"Roki and I are friends though. Kirishima and I are friends, so you're my friend by default, Kacchan," Kaminari said as he stuck his tongue out.

"Shut up!" Katsuki barked.

When they were back at home, Kaminari made himself comfortable on the couch, while Katsuki changed into a black tank top and sweats.

"I decided Shoto and I are going to have a sleepover," Kaminari grinned, a little tipsy. "Bottoms only."
