Crystal shivers as she looks at Dylan, and he decided to give him dog tags. "A-are you sure you can me to hold onto these?" She is still shaking and wondering what has she done to deserve this, just a few days ago, she has lost her mother and now her life is on the line. She was hoping that he trip would be short and sweet to New York, but now she isn't so sure anymore. "We will reach New York, right?" She asked softly.

"Yes," Dylan said. "You can hold onto these, because when we're safely in New York, you are going to give them back to me, okay?" He hugged Crystal again, and this time he didn't let her go. "Shh," he said. "Everything is going to be all right. We might have to walk through hell, but we'll do it together, okay?" He didn't voice what he now realized: that if they--whoever they were--wanted to kill them with that bomb, they would have. No, their goal was to keep them from flying to New York and forcing them to drive cross-country.

Crystal could only nod at this, so she held onto the tags for now as she promised. She is still shaking from the incident, and she hopes that he would never have to witness such a thing ever again. "Fine, i'll do that." She whispered, as she is embraced. What a day this has been, but she hopes that she wouldn't be killed. "L-Lets just go..." She frowns, hoping that nothing else would explode next.

"Sure thing." Dylan let her go, stood up straight, and stretched, making sure to flex his muscles a bit. He also hoped nothing else would explode. Well, not in the literal sense, anyway. At any rate, he smiled down at Crystal. "You wanna ride up front? There's plenty of room," he said. Circling around to the trunk, he opened it, moved Crystal's belongings aside, and unzipped his duffel bag and peeled off his long-sleeve shirt and put on a black tactical polo shirt, a bulletproof vest stamped with the company logo and the word "SECURITY", and a belt with a holster for his pistol. He climbed back into the driver's seat and waited for Crystal to accept or decline his invitation to sit up front.

Crystal nods, as she drags herself out to sit right in the front and give a bit of a stretch. It doesn't matter where she is in the car unless she is inside of it for safety. The adventure finally begins, but on a real sour note. At least she is still alive to start it, so she will have to get comfortable for a long time. Crystal wants to break the silence, but she has no idea what to say at the moment. "Soo...have you escorted people across the country before?" She asked.

"No," came Dylan's answer. "But we have ways to do so, including a network of safe-houses that only me, the team, and your father know about, no digital paper trail either, only hard copies in your father's office safe. So even if they hacked the entire network, they'd still have to actually lay eyes on us to know where we are. Which reminds me!" He pulled the car over again, smacking himself in the forehead. "God, why do I gotta be so dumb sometimes?" Chuckling, he smiled at Crystal. "Maybe being near you makes it hard to think!" Squirming a bit in his seat, he took off the vest and tossed it in the backseat. "Maybe we should try and blend in, hmm? We roll into the next town with me wearing that--," he jabbed his thumb back towards the body armor, "--we'll stick out like a sore thumb. Maybe we can even tell everyone we're a couple on vacation! Like, going undercover and all that shit!" He chuckled before putting the car in gear and continuing on. Crystal sure was having a funny effect on him, like he could be more relaxed, less professional. Maybe it's because she probably needs a friend as well as a protector, but clearly it was more than that by now. He was slowly starting to fall for her, and there was nothing he could, or wanted, to do to stop it.

"Thats good to know, to have all of these connections and whatnot. Um, where would they be?" She has no idea what these safe houses look like, and then there is this net work of other stuff. He pulls over the car, and he told her that they could be a couple in disguise. "Uh sure, if it for blending in, I don't mind." Would people really by that they are a couple? She wouldn't know unless they try. Crystal scoffs lightly. "As long as it doesn;t go too far."

When Crystal mentioned going too far, Dylan's face fell. Was she not as interested in him as he was in her? Did she even like men in the first place? So many doubts and insecurities flooded his mind. "Of-of course, yeah, blending in. Sure." He drove the car almost on autopilot, his mind was on so many other things. When the rest of the team texted that they were a mile behind them and maintaining distance, he literally jumped when his phone went off. That hadn't happened in years, he thought. Great. This girl is gonna get me killed if I'm not careful.
