Character Name: Derek “Deke” Lorton

Age: 36

Background: Badly abused as a child, Deke joined the Army to get away from home; he was court-martialed and Dishonorably Discharged for desecrating enemy corpses in Iraq. At the same court martial he was also acquitted on two counts of murder. With no job prospects back in the States Deke drifted for awhile then joined a Motorcycle Club. Still a low ranking member, he makes money mostly by distributing meth for the MC and has spent three years in prison. He is at the party for three reasons: 1. To make sure some drunken idiot doesn't burn down his brother's farmhouse. 2. To sell as much overpriced product (coke and meth) to idiot rich kids as possible. 3. To keep an eye out for possible prospects and auxiliaries for his Club. Of course having some "fun" on top of doing his job isn't out of the question.

Personality: Deke is not a "biker with a heart of gold;" he is a cold, calculating, violent career criminal. Anyone who gives him shit or gets in his way will very likely be punched in the face or worse; this includes females, since he is a big believer in Equal Opportunity. On the other hand anyone who shows him a modicum of respect when interacting will probably be perfectly safe, especially if they appear to be smaller and weaker than he is - while Deke is very bitter and angry, he's not a bully at heart despite everything he's been through. Unless he thinks you're an undercover cop or a snitch ... Unsurprisingly he is incredibly profane and not the least bit "politically correct."

Appearance: See below picture, no face claim name. 6’0, 180#, lean and muscular. In addition to what’s shown in the picture Deke’s forearms are heavily inked and he’s also wearing black jeans and biker boots. A large combat knife sheathed on his right hip is his one visible weapon; his Club's house, his Club's rules and if guests don't like it, they can fucking leave.

Sexual Quirks: Deke can be very “assertive” sexually and is primarily a heterosexual. That said, during his time in prison he remained assertive but … adapted in order to overcome the situation he found himself in. How he’ll behave at this point given his mercurial personality is anyone’s guess …

Personality

Amanda is a shy, quiet, bookish but athletic and sweet nerdy girl who generally would prefer not to be in the spotlight, and keep her head down, do her work, and inherit her father’s business while finding her own passion in life. But such a naive daddy’s girl, and a relative newcomer to the United States to boot despite her fluent if a bit heavily accented English, easily becomes desperate to have popular girls like her. So when she somehow got an invite to the party and convinced her trusting father to let her borrow the helicopter so that she could roll up in style and fly her friends around this party, that was possibly the beginning of the end for Amanda’s innocence...

Bio

Amanda has somewhat adjusted to life here in the US, and just got her Private Pilots’ License around her birthday after 80 hours of flight training with her dad, but her initial experience coming here at fifteen from Stockholm in 2016, at a fraught time politically, was hard. Of course she supported her single father, Bosse Nilssen, after he attained his dream of immigrating, purchasing a Sikorsky S-92 helicopter, and starting his air charter service for the rich and famous, because he’d deferred it for so long to be an engineer and raise her upon her mother’s death when she was 3.

But that didn’t make it any easier to learn English, make friends, figure out what love was for her, and so much more, all so far from everything she’d ever known. And so she was desperate to change that, worked hard to gain the license to pilot the helicopter by herself by her 17th birthday, all just to use that as an icebreaker. Even if the only people who talk to her are only interested in her big black chopper, at least she wouldn’t be so lonely, she reasoned.

Bio: Paige moved here from her small town. She misses it dearly, but she has found some solace in this new place. There is a lovely bookstore that she can get lost in.
She lives alone with her mother, who works for a company that manufactures computer parts. It's her job that has brought them here. She knows her mother wants
to rise to the top, and she holds a lot of admiration for her and her goals. It has inspired her to do her best in school. While she dislikes school, she sees it as a necessary stepping stone to get to where she wants to be at in life. Independent. Wealthy. Well known. Music is another passion she has. She's won several competitions, and while she would like to have a career in music, she knows academics are a must. She doesn't know who her father is. Having found an old picture of him would have been nice, but her mother has made it very clear she doesn't wish to discuss him in the slightest. So while she assumes her mother knows who he is, she doesn't push the issue, respecting her mother's wishes. She does have a weakness for having her fortune told. Yes. She pays someone to tell her, her future. Upon her last visit, she was told that she would meet someone named Lucas. Intrigued, she has kept an ear out for anyone going by that name. She came across people talking about The Ranch and the party that was happening that night, and she couldn't ignore the pull to attend.
