In a fictional town called Kagemusha (in a location corresponding to the real world Kagoshima Prefecture), there's a University that deals in Theoretical Physics and has quite a bit more electronics than one would think a town of its low population should have. The town's been there for around 400 years, and for the majority of its history things have been happening that are... Weird. A few years ago, there were reports of weird creatures on campus. Some students and teachers disappeared. One teacher and 3 students turned up dead. Those that were afraid left. Those that remained reported a sharp upsurge in erotic feelings, and some pregnancies among them. Strange lights filled the sky. The next day, the faculty of Special College K closed the school down to all but a select few faculty and students for about a week. No one knows why, but within the next few days of hiatus, the strangeness suddenly stopped. Some of the staff came back from the shut down... changed. Before the shutdown, the brochure read:
Special College K is a College that is slowly branching out of Junior College status and broadening its curriculum to include classes outside home economics, nursing, teaching, the humanities, and social sciences in their curricula. Those classes are still available, but Special College K also includes accounting, business, computer science, education, engineering, law, med school, and various sciences.
Special College K is also known for its extensive Co-ed athletics department, one of a small, but growing number of schools that allows both males and females to perform on the same team. Co-ed athletic activities include Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Gymnastics, Judo, Kendo, Swimming, and Track.
Rumors abound that the students learned a thing or two more than they bargained for about Kagemusha's University and nearby Electronics Zaibatsu. Two years after the weird event on campus, someone wrote a fictional game featuring a feudal era Kagemusha, a nearby cavern complex, and many, many, varieties of tentacle beasts and goo monsters (doesn't have to be tentacle monsters if people would prefer a more fantasy, less Hentai feel). The game feels so real, and can leave players uneasy for a few days, as if they spent a long time in a wave pool.
The university itself has changed. There's a Co-Ed Mixed Martial Arts club now too, what with the sport gaining popularity over the last few years. You wouldn't think that males and females should be fighting each other, but suffice it to say that the faculty is really egalitarian in that regard, along with all their other equality concessions.
So TL;DR- The game takes place in Modern Kagemusha, in which the characters are all students either in the MMA club, or the Electronics Club, or both. Supernatural races and Adventure Mode characters are allowed with provisions, and Mikos are different than you'd expect a Miko to be if you have pre-existing expectations of them.

Akiko Sato (MMA Club President)
Akiko has Fierce Eyes, hair pinned up into a messy bun, a considerably top-heavy body, and usually wears leathers that make her look like a fighting game character. She is 169cm tall, and 75 kg, and 128I-79-144. At age 19, Akiko has already made quite a name for herself, having been a part of the motion capture works at SatoVR for various fighting games. Rumors suggest that Akiko is on the SatoVR team for one of three reasons:

These rumors are exacerbated by the fact that she is already well known in her other profession, as a member of the Dangerous Curves strip club. She is known to be an Idol/Kyonyuu/Martial Artist (practicing primarily Capoeira and Judo).
Akira Takeba (Alumni Sponsor to the MMA club)
Akira is a late twenty-something with shaggy brown hair, curious eyes, a lean, yet muscular body, adorned in casual clothes, a gi, or a business suit. He is 170 cm and 71kg, with a 95 cm chest, 74 cm waist, and 76 cm waist. During the incident of several years ago, a handful of Special K University students attacked a Zaibatsu on evidence one of the students had found that the zaibatsu had been responsible for the disappearances of several students and teachers, and for the deaths of three people.
He is rumored to have a 35cm penis, and to have rescued (a very much addled) Haruki Sayama during the incident from 7 years ago. He has a fondness for her that many girls much younger would kill to be on par with. Akira is known to be a Martial Artist/Sensei-chan/ Bokukko.
Dai Gowa (Athletic Director)
Dai Gowa inherited the position of Athletic Director from his father 7 years ago after the latter's disappearance. Dai is known to have been an ace swimmer in the Athletics program, so his experience in the field is modest and he performs adequately. Though rumors suggest that Dai was once very resentful of his father Shinji for some incidents his father was reported for--including an incident in which a girl was found naked and very badly bruised in a locker room--he is thankful for Akira's attempt to find and/or rescue his father after Shinji fought to protect several youths during the events of 7 years ago.
Dai is known to be a Bokukko/Sports Star, and finds himself to be uncomfortable in the presence of naked women enough that he is also suspected to be an Accidental Pervert. Primarily accidental because the events of 7 years ago left him asexual.

Eiji Matsuda (Junko's brother)
Eiji has Ogling Eyes, Wild Hair, a Slouched Body, and a Disheveled Gi. He is 178cm, 75 kg measuring 90-77-77, He is a Martial Artist, though nobody can say for sure what other archetypes he holds. Though he has an Entourage, he's not famous enough to be an Idol, and not a strong enough leader to be a Sukeban. Rumors suggest that his crew follows him because he has the biggest dick among them (around 30 centimeters), and because he's allowed them to take up residence at the family's Dojo--The Tsubame Dojo, why it's called that, nobody knows. He is known to take Embarrassment and personal slights very seriously, and his gang is a source of significant fear and anxiety among many women in Kagemusha.

Hanako Tanaka
is an average height 18 year old (in 2020) girl with darting brown eyes, Messy black hair with an ahoge, a bony topheavy body, who is always wearing bib overalls (either denim or flannel) with short legs or a skirt. When required to wear something formal like a school uniform, you can see the overalls under the midriff. 172 cm, 62 kg 111J-59-74 Hanako was raped by the Twisted Serpents in 2019 in a small surburb-of-a-suburb called Oseigi Falls, nestled at the base of Mt. Klimaka in in Ouni Prefecture. She and the rest of the Tanaka Family moved to Kagemusha after discovering they could provide the same way the Sokoru Hightech Electronics (S.H.E.) factory had. While Hanako is a bit miffed about not having any of her old friends around, she's found that the city of Kagemusha has its own very interesting situations to get into. She's a known Bokukko/Dojikko/Cuckoolander.
Haruki Sayama, Ph.D. (Professor of Biochemistry and Culinary Arts)
Haruki has knowing eyes, a bob cut, a top heavy body, and she wears a pink apron and scrub pants that can be removed quickly in case of emergency or sudden arousal. 160 cm, 70 kg. Base 70cm 140I-91-126. She is 57 chronologically, though Magical fallout from the incident rejuvenated her appearance and health to that of someone in her early 30s. Her face remains the only indicator she is much older.
The Professor of Biochemistry and Culinary Arts is openly perverted towards Akira, but does not take it personally that he is just as likely to pursue girls closer to his own age. She is the doting mother of Shiro while sober, and he is a doting son to her when she is not. She is able to contain her alcohol consumption to times when she is off the clock however, so it does not present a problem.
While Haruki is known to be a Mother/Sensei-chan, it's somewhat suspected by the judges of sporting events that Special K University is involved in that she also practices a little alchemy on the side. At least the ones who believe in magic, and have tried the mysterious green goo filled creampies she always gives away at the events.
Josei Jinko (Security Guard)
Josei has focused eyes that constantly scan the room, a perfectly built body of alabaster skin, and although she wears the uniform of a high ranking member of Special K's security force, rumors suggest she's only wearing it for the sake of social convention. Special K's Security Force was adopted to regain control of the Special K facilities during the incident 7 years ago. Not much is known about her history before then, but she appears to have been taken on as a member of the security staff at the tender age of 18, which would put her around 25.

It is not known, what her other archetype is, but many suspect that it has something to do with stealth or magic owing to the fact that she always seems to know things about the security of campus that she could not have been present to witness. It's possible that part of her knowing things she shouldn't has something to do with the fact that she shares everything with her sister Kagoishi (even sexual partners). She's known to have gotten a barcode tattoo with her sister, with the only difference being that one of them has an S on it, while the other has an M on it.
Kagoishi Jinko (School Nurse)
Kagoishi is almost identical to Josei in that they both have that perfectly built body with alabaster skin, though Kagoishi has a bob haircut and Josei has a perfectly shaved head. Kagoishi was originally tasked with creating an inoculation against a mild virus that was spreading around the time of the original incident 7 years ago. Rumors suggest this virus was not very mild.
She has fairly extensive medical and knife training lending itself to the suspicion that she might be an EMT/Yandere... but she doesn't seem to show any of the qualities that suggest she's actually yandere other than very proficient use of surgical implements. She appears to have the same security clearance as her sister, though it's mostly applicable to being able to get around security protocols related to learning the medical history of any patients that might happen to come by the Nurse Station at Special K university.

Shiro Sayama
When Shiro was 5, he moved away from Kagemusha, and came back 7 years ago. Shiro Sayama is the epitome of the Class Rep. He has Watchful Eyes, and Silver Hair. Adorned upon his Statuesque Body is a set of seemingly cleaner, brighter, more vibrant school clothes. Clothes that some instructors would consider immaculate, and never in violation of any dress code. He appears to maintain this dress code strictly for the benefit of others in the public eye, as when he is in the privacy of his own home, or among the company of only the best of friends, Shiro wears nothing, and his mother does the same. This does not appear to cause the tension one might think it does.
Shiro drinks heavily--one of his only Bokukko habits that overrides the Iinchou demeanor--as he keeps up the pace with his mother's use of alcohol to cope with her past. He does not appear to get nearly as drunk as she does however, and frequently finds himself in a position of having to care for her as much as she does him. While Shiro sometimes finds much of his mother's drunken excesses distasteful, he does not hold it against her owing to the fact that she suffered as she did. He believes that as long as one is not causing harm to others, one should be allowed some freedoms with regards to their self expression, and their expression of love.
Tetsuo Sato
SatoVR was built on the site of the Robotics Zaibatsu that the students of Special K attacked 7 years ago, with money seeded by the University itself as a reward to the group for dealing with the problems the town was having back then. SatoVR has recently released their flagship game Shadows of Kagemusha which allows users to explore various points in the history of Kagemusha over the last 400 years or so. Members of the alpha/dev testing phase received special Ryo coins called Dreamscape Coins attached to a lanyard which are slotted into SatoVR devices expressly for the purposes of playing Shadows of Kagemusha and other SatoVR games.
Yoshito Harada
What can be said about Yoshito Harada? He definitely does not look his age. For as long as anyone alive can remember, Yoshito Harada has been this old. There are presently members of the board who remember him being old when they joined decades ago. The board recognizes that his physics department is their flagship, and it's going to do what it’s going to do with or without their blessing. They realize this was instrumental in the defeat of the mysterious creatures seven years ago, and so they tend to push forward whatever aspect of his agenda he feels needs pressing.
Yoshito Harada has Knowing Eyes, Short Hair, a bony body, and a tailored purple suit. He is a known Sensei-chan/Ojou. He is believed to have done theoretical physics experiments that have lead to clothes disappearing, and has been known to facilitate changes to participants' bodies that are effectively equivalent to cosmetic surgery (with their consent of course)
Rules Clarifications
A situation has arisen in which two players were given "free attacks". In the future, whenever I refer to "free [move]" this means a 6- is upgraded to a 7-9 (no RP gains), or 7-9 is upgraded to 10+. If a player has a move that provides a 12+ function, that move provides the function on 10+ instead.
Deal with the Law, in a Lawless Land (Such as the SatoVR Dreamscape)
Sometimes there is no law in the land in which you use Archery or Martial Arts/Kendo. The default choices allow for being placed in a danger, which suggests a soft move that allows you to Avoid Danger. In a harsher game, where civilization is lacking, Senpai may choose to have a player replace Deal with the Law with:
You take damage
You are in a worse position requiring you to take -1 to Defense, Martial Arts/Kendo, or Archery (Pick one move per instance--but you can't pick Archery if you're not using a bow, etc) until you reorient yourself. If you're already taking this penalty due to pain, and you take this option again, you may pass out.
If your weapon has ammo, lose one
You are still at liberty not to choose that option as long as you don't roll 6-. Even if Senpai chooses to replace some instances of Deal with the Law, others will not be appropriate. For example, when a character becomes Ronin, they become an outlaw to a specific Daimyo.
