The room was fairly large, an office clearly, with decor much nicer than the outside would have led anyone to believe. A large cherry wood desk sat near a dingy window and an older man in an expensive looking suit sat behind it. Another, clearly younger sat on the desk, watching as the seated one counted bills.
"He'd brought enough sir." The one seated behind the desk confirmed, sliding the stack of moeny back into it's envelope.
"Wonderful Sari, we can let him go then." He said with an emotionless smile to a rather portly man seated in front of them. He stood, nodded, and scrambled out of the room, nearly knocking Chason over as he passed.
"He was an awfully unpleasant little man wasn't he Sari?" the man seated on the desk said as he stood and stretched. With the suit it was hard to tell, but the figure under it was lightly toned. He was a fairly tall man, and slender. Jaw length black hair fell into cold gray eyes, and pale skin signified a lack of sun exposure. Of course, he was a man that thrived in the darker parts of life.
"Very unpleasant. You did notice our guest, Jin?" Sari was quite the opposite of his boss, the number two, he seemed to be of Indian decent with caramel skin, waist length black hair held back in a braid, and gold cuffs on his wrists, just visible under the suit. His dark eyes were cool and calculating like his boss's, but somehow warmer and less knowing.
"Nn, I did." He said, turning those cold eyes to Chason. "Come in already, no need to stand in the hall." He said as he moved to his newest toy as a leisurely pace. He had to be in his mid twenties at the latest, but even so young, he'd managed to secure the top role of the gang. The lower levels had their little gang battles, controlled by the mid levels, but it was the upper levels Jin dealt with the most. The more productive drugs, money wise, hushing the police, and controlling some of the larger political powers as well as company interests in the area.
"You are the cute one aren't you, the photo your father sent doesn't do you justice." He said in a sickeningly satisfied tone as he circled Chason like a cat eying a cornered mouse, his prey only seconds from being chow. "I trust you were wise enough to bring your contract?" He said with a chilled smile. "You'll be here until either your father's debt has been paid, or two years have passed, whichever comes first, correct?"
"Sir..." Sari interrupted, "Our records are showing he's still buying. At the rate he's going, the boy might become a permanent payment."
"Lovely..." Jin said in a tone that made it hard to tell whether or not it was sarcasm. "What was your name?" he asked Chason, finally stopping to stand tall in front of him.
