He was quiet the whole way out of the premise, but he couldn't help but laugh as she held out a hand to him. "You underestimate me." He said, taking her hand... then quickly pulling her to him, picking her up in strong arms, one behind her shoulders, the other cradling behind her knees. "Hold on."
Wings burst from his back, black feathers ruffling as they got use to being released again. He jumped up into the air, and they carried him, flapping heavily as he moved towards the mountains. The flight wasn't long, and soon he was landing at the lip of a cave. His wings disappeared as he carried her inside.
It was a long passage inward, the darkness only growing, becoming magical so only he could see. After about a mile of fast walking, he put her down and continued forward. There was the sound of falling water in the large room. "This place has it's own value to my people." He said, against the far wall. His finger touched a candle, illuminating him and a good three feet around him. His back was turned. "We use the earth and minerals to heal. This place is pure." He turned to her, and the candle's flames jumped to the two candles next to it, and it continued, a fast chain reaction that lit the candles all around the room, lifting the darkness.
The area was a hot springs, with at least four different pools, the largest having a small waterfall coming down from the wall into it, churning the hot mineral water. Small geysers blew heat and minerals into the restoring waters.
