Moon Slave...[In More Than One Way]

He rushed in with her, pulling back her hair, comforting her the best he could. He was taking deep breaths to keep himself under control as well, feeling her nausea through their link. When she was done, he picked up a nearby towel and wiped her mouth for her. "I'll force control over myself, love. To be with you."

She coughed a few times after she was done, feeling the press of the towel against her lips. She sighed and closed her eyes, her hands on her stomach before she opened her eyes to look up at him. She sighed lightly as she leaned toward him, wanting him to touch her face.

"If it will be too much for you...I will not shift.."

She said softly, her eyes lifting to look up at him. If it would stress him out this much, it was unhealthy for her to shift with him around. She sighed lightly as she groaned from the nausea still present.

He gently kissed her face, the back of his fingers gently stroking over her cheek. "You need to shift to get it out of your system. I will be fine. I'll have to get use to seeing changed lycans, might as well do it in a controlled environment."

She sighed when he gently placed a kiss against her face, which felt too hot to her but was soon cooling. Her stomach was still extremely upset and so she remained sitting on the floor, leaning into the light brushing of his fingers along her cheek.

"Okay...I just don't want you to be in such discomfort."

She murmured, even though she ached to shift. She was self-sacrificing in that aspect. When her mate was distressed, she was distressed and she wanted to fix it in any way that she could. Sighing against she closed her eyes, Amaris looked up at Alex with a gentle expression.

"I will make sure that you are in complete control, Alex. Even as I know you would not hurt me."

She took a few shallow breaths as her stomach rolled and she winced, holding her stomach. She needed calm and Alex was still upset.

He took deep breaths to calm himself, his hand moving to gently stroke over her stomach. His mind connected to hers and their child's, telling him to calm down and be at ease. The child didn't make much sense of it mentally, but the wash of comfort eased him, their combined energy soothing her stomach.

"There." He said softly, looking up to her and kissing her lightly. "Shift, you need to. I will be fine. I promise."

The motion of his hand stroking her stomach was calming and soothing, especially when he brushed against her mind to ease her as well. She felt more calm than just from him and she looked down at her stomach in wonder before looking up at him.

"I....can feel the baby..."

She felt his lips press against her own and she returned the kiss as she focused on her son. She felt...odd, but the sensation was welcome. He was much too underdeveloped to make much sense of what was happening, but she could feel him and that was all that mattered besides Alex.

"All right...I will shift."

She smiled lightly at him, eyes glassy from wonder.

He smiled as she said that she could feel their child. He kissed her again lightly as she said she was about to shift. "Ok, shift and let's go. I'm sure we have a lot of ground to cover." He Helped her out of the bathroom, into her room, so she could find something to wear.

She was still in awe, smiling pleasantly even after their light kiss. She grinned faintly as she stood up and he helped her out of the bathroom. She laced their hands together as she shrugged at her clothing. She didn't need anything to wear since when she shifted, her clothing ripped to shreds. She wasn't a lupus garou after all. Still, she pulled on a long, button-up shirt to cover her nudity, more for Alex's sake than her own. Re-lacing their hands, she tugged him along, feeling excitement flow through her veins at the thought of shifting. It had been almost a week since her last shift and it was eating at her. Exiting the mansion, she headed around back with him, standing within a pool of moonlight. She smiled at him, slightly nervous. She was afraid that Alex would think her ugly or something grotesque. Stripping off the shirt, she felt the change at the tip of her fingertips but she restrained herself a moment longer as she looked to Alex for the signal to continue.

He followed her outside, into the moonlight. He was slightly anticipating seeing her change, never actually seeing the shift. He only realized that her clothing wouldn't survive the shifting when she peeled the shirt off of herself. He was quick in catching it, folding it up and putting it into his cloak. He moved closer to her and kissed her lightly before taking a step back, giving her some room to shift with.

She kissed him back gently before he pulled away to give her room. She smiled lightly at him, connecting their minds as she told him it was her and would always be her, even after the shift. And then she closed the contact for a brief moment. Shifting required all her concentration and focus. Closing her eyes she stood on all fours as the power flowed over her. She was the quickest in shifting amongst her kind and it took less than three minutes to change. But it was still a sight to see. Her limbs cracked and broke, her jaw elongating as a tail sprouted while her legs and arms shortened. Fur as pure as snow spread along her body, taking over her skin. A splash of black in the shape of a star pressed over a crescent moon covered her face and muzzle as she changed from woman to wolf. Her body was bigger than that of a regular wolf, but sleeker. She was meant to be fast while still being strong like her kind was. She shook herself out after the change was over. It always hurt in the slightest, but that was normal. Her eyes were still the same, though set like a wolf's would be. She looked at Alex, linking their minds and exuding calm. She was an Omega, after all. The type of wolf that didn't need an Alpha and took care of others. She whined softly as she took a careful step towards him.

He was in surprise and awe as he watched her shift, into something very beautiful. it wasn't like the demonic-ish forms that he destroyed, on two legs with dark eyes as they ravaged the country, but a normal wolf, with white fur with her moon-and-star symbol. He chuckled slightly as he saw her move slowly to him. "I guess this proves how closely bonded we really are, how much we were meant for each other." He said in a soft whisper. "I have always loved the snow wolves. Hated lycans, but loved the wolves, coats white as snow..." He opened his eyes and looked at her, and took a few steps towards her. The shifting was easy and in stride. One moment, he was himself, the next, his body shrunk down as he moved to his hands and knees, white fur erupting all over him. By the time he was in front of her, he was a complete white wolf, his snow pure and nearly shining in the light, his blue eyes locked with hers as his nose gently pressed against hers. He was a normal wolf, in essence, not with her size from being a lycan, but with his vampiric strength behind it.

She watched him, ears pricked forward as she caught his words. It didn't make sense, at first until she felt the calmness that washed over her. He still loved her and accepted her. She watched him walk towards her, speaking in quiet and loving tones. But soon, Alex wasn't Alex anymore but a white wolf, like the ones that wondered the north. She murred softly in acceptance as he locked eyes with her before touching noses. She moved slightly, rubbing their cheeks together in true wolf fashion. He wasn't quite as big as her, but very close in size and she loved that she could share this with him. It made her feel all the more in love with him that they didn't have to be separated in any form. She rubbed the length of her body against his own, scenting him and marking him at the same time. It was a slight instinctual ritual for her, one that involved their bond and the moon.

He nuzzled against her when she moved against him, his body marking hers as his own as well. After a long few moments, he moved a little past her, towards the woods, before turning his head back to her. His mind connected to hers, and he gave her the mental image and feeling of circling and nuzzling against her, almost rolling around with her. Let's go, we have quite a bit of ground to get through, yes? I hope I don't hold you down in speed.

She made a sound of content after the marking was done and he showed her the mental image. She sent him back feelings of content and of them running together. She nodded at his words, shrugging in the way a wolf could actually shrug as she stood beside him, nose to the wind. Yes, quite a bit of ground. We can go at any speed you wish, darling. It isn't a race. She tipped her head his way and flicked out her tongue to lick him before she took off at a trot before running, just fast enough for him to keep up with without getting exhausted or left behind.

He smiled as he heard her words, licking her muzzle after she licked his, before nipping lightly at her neck. We go as fast as possible. I want time to cuddle with you tonight. He took off with her, keeping pace with her, careful not to fall behind. He was energized for the night, a smile on his wolf face.

She shivered faintly at his words as they took off, dashing through the woods, white blurs against the black. The pair traveled for quite a while before they stopped, appearing at a manor house much like her own but more rural in appearance and less modern. The scent of wolves was everywhere as she stepped up towards the house, shifting on the way there. She stopped and looked back at Alex, waiting for him, her hair hanging down to cover her assets. She could sense about seven wolves on the premises, and two of them were the researchers for the clan. The others were body guards or mates. She wasn't sure. She knew Shanara was around somewhere and she needed to speak with her...

He looked around the house as she shifted, keeping his eyes searching. He shifted with her, pulling the shirt out of his cloak and putting it on her, buttoning it up for her. Then he went into her mind, getting her exact size. He turned from her, then turned back, with a pair of leather pants that she would fit perfectly in. He helped her in them before shifting back into his wolf form, nuzzling against her legs before taking a step forward.

Show the way, Cara Mia.

She saw him shift and remove the shirt, helping her into it and buttoning it. She smiled and blushed slightly, knowing full-well that she could dress herself but allowed him to do it without fuss or words. She felt him in her mind, learning her exact pants' size before he took out a pair of leather pants and helped her put them on. If only he came equipped with boots, she thought jokingly, knowing he could hear her thoughts as he shifted back. She stroked the crest of his head as she heard him within her mind. She nodded and stepped forward, her feet leading her to the back porch. She knocked once on the glass before she stepped inside.

"Hello! Gregory, Francesca! It's Amaris. I'm here concerning your research."

There was silence and then the sound of whispered words and the squealing cry of a small child. A little girl with flaming red hair and baby blue eyes ran right at her and jumped, causing Amaris to open her arms to catch the little beast. The girl clung to her and sang out.

"Auntie Mari! Auntie Mari! Who's the pretty wolfy?"

He laughed softly in her head as they went to the back of the estate. Boots, I can't make of nature. Feel happy i had some leather on me or you wouldn't be wearing those pants. They went into the back of the estate and she was jumped by a little girl. He was about to growl, but seeing how little the fledgling was, he just moved up, touching his nose to hers before taking a few steps back.

You can tell them. His voice was quiet and at ease in her mind.

Emily squealed as she made grabby motions to cling to him. Amaris laughed softly before putting the little girl down, chuckling to herself as Emily instantly latched onto him and stroked his fur gently, well aware that being too rough would hurt him.

"So pwetty..."

She heard Emily murmur, eyes wide in wonder. Emily was very sensitive to the world around her and it wasn't surprising that she knew he wasn't a lycan. Amaris smiled lightly as she spoke to Emily.

"Emi, this is Alexander...he's my mate."

Emily's eyes widened as she looked at Alex and then back up at her. She smiled brightly, totally in awe.

"Like Momma and Daddy? Except, he's not a wolfy like me and you."

Amaris nodded, lightly stroking Emily's hair as she looked at Alex in awe, blushing. It seemed like already the little girl was developing a crush which was adorable.

He smiled as only a wolf could as the little girl latched onto him, petting him gently. But after a little bit, she let go, and he heard them talking about how he wasn't a true lycan like them. He picked his head up for a moment, looking into Amaris' eyes before taking a few steps away from the girl. He pressed Amaris' legs together, then walked behind her. A wolf walked behind her left side, and on her right came out Alexander, fully changed back, his hands pulling his cloak a little tighter against his shoulders.

"Amaris, we don't have too much time to waste..." He bent down, his knees fully bent as he came to the little girl's height. "Emily, where are your parents right now?"

"Wow...."

Emily said, seeing Alex as himself. She was totally awe-struck and Amaris laughed softly, though she knew that they didn't have a lot of time. She nodded at his words as she looked at Emily who kept sneaking glances at him before moving to Amaris's side and taking her hand. When Alex asked about her parents she smiled happily.

"Downstairs. In the...the basement!"

She said at last and Amaris nodded, taking her with them as they headed towards the basement. They went through a door and down a flight of steps as the scent of chemicals and such washed over them. Emily wrinkled her nose and Amaris picked her up since the girl had no shoes on. She heard the whisper of voices and called out gently.

"Gregory, Francesca...We need to speak with you."

An older male with salt and pepper hair appeared around a corner, glasses resting on the bridge of his nose. Beside him was a lovely young woman with chestnut hair, almost as red as Emily's. They both seemed surprise as the couple looked at the three of them.

"Amaris, darling. Why are you here and who is this...man?"

Gregory said, his voice richly laced with a french accent. He wrinkled his nose and held in a growl even as Francesca smiled at the two of them as she adjusted her lab coat.

He was being relatively silent, intent on letting Amaris take care of everything. He saw the two lycan researchers, and at the males growl, he took a step back, shifting and moving half of him behind Amaris. If he was going to be attacked, he was going to make as small of a target as possible.

"Enough Gregory..."

Amaris said, a wave of calm washing over everyone as she exerted her own calm. She saw Gregory take a breath as he looked at Alex, seeing him shift which caused him to blink. Francesca did a double take.

"We don't have a lot of time but you two need to bring your research disks and come with us. And he is not to be harmed. I'm well aware that you should have been notified by Samuel and Charles."

Gregory nodded after a minute, letting out a sigh as he mussed his hair. Francesca straightened it out as she went and gathered the items. She was always a quiet woman but very sweet once she was talking and more comfortable. She could convey whole conversations with a simple smile and glance. Gregory wiped off his glasses and put them back on his face as he looked between her and Alex.

"So he is the one then, cher. I shall not harm him...."

He stared blankly at Alex a moment before throwing his hands up in surrender and going about gathering research documents and such of that nature. Looking down at Alex, she sighed and stroked the top of his head.

He generally ignored the others in the room, nuzzling up into her hand as she offered it. But after a moment, he moved back upstairs, waiting for them outside. He was sending out the mental contacts to his researchers. They said they were already ready and moving to the rendezvous.
