The Preferences

I wish to keep my RP's on this site.

I want to keep communication open with my partners. If you're not going to reply for an extended period of time, please let me know. I leave the door open always on RP's, but that shouldn't be taken advantage of.

I'm usually very dedicated to my RP's. I put time and effort into them and my partners. I will tell my partner if I'm leaving an RP, so if I don't post for a bit, don't assume that I've left without asking. I would prefer at least three days of inactivity before being poked.

I don't have a strict post length. My posts are usually three paragraphs minimum and ten paragraphs maximum. I can give much more, but I also want effort from my partner. If you give me one paragraph, expect one paragraph back. What you give effects what you get back, plain and simple.

Regarding pregnancy, I would rather it not be mentioned or alluded to in any way unless we've agreed on including it beforehand.

I'm open to one shots, short-term, medium-term, and long-term.

I know some people are nervous about fandom because they lack confidence or think their partner will yell at them if their portrayal is not perfect. Please don't let those things stop you from approaching me. I'm 100% down to work with your adaptation of a canon character and won't yell at you for a character not being perfect. Give me a try and I promise that fandom will be fun and relaxing like RP is supposed to be.

I am fine with our RP's not being a story of two people's exclusive commitment to each other. If you want our characters to be friends with benefits or your character to be free use, that's fine, too. I like romance and exclusivity, but it's not required to have good character dynamics, sexual dynamics, or to tell a good story.

The Original Idea

My character is a bullied nerd named Ken Toyama who is always getting beaten up. One day, however, the soul of a great warrior is forced into his body. The reason behind this is unknown. The next time Ken is getting wrecked by a bully, the warrior soul takes over and obliterates the bully. This attracts the attention of more and more powerful fighters while weaving together a more and more complex plot.

YC could be MC's childhood friend, perhaps similar to Anzu Masaki, Yugi's childhood friend. Perhaps she likes him as more than just a friend and it hurt her that he didn't previously stand up for himself. Maybe she's nursed his wounds? Maybe there's a weird love triangle with her, Ken, and the warrior soul?

Or perhaps you're a female warrior unimpressed by Ken but gets crushed by and falls in love with the warrior soul?

Or maybe you're a friend of the warrior soul whose own soul has been forced into another woman's body?

If none of these roles suit you, feel free to pitch me your own.

Sample Opener for Warrior’s Soul (Childhood Friend Option)

Ken Toyama was a freshman at Tokyo Metropolitan Kokusai High School, which was located in the suburb of Meguro City. He had worked very hard to get good grades so that his transcript would be of interest to Kokusai. He had studied nonstop in order to ace Kokusai's entrance exam, and he did! His score was the highest in the high school's history. The school accordingly put him in all AP classes, meaning that he would be getting college credits while still in high school. If he took all AP classes all three years of high school, it would shorten his time at university considerably, allowing him to have the quickest possible path to his dream job: researching a cure for cancer.

Even better, his best friend since childhood, (YC’s name here), was also a student at Kokusai! They both lived close enough to the school that they could walk together to and from school. Kokusai had put Ken's picture up in the trophy case in the main hall of the school, both to honor his academic achievement and to encourage other students to aim higher academically. Unfortunately, this well-intentioned act by the school had unintended consequences for Ken. Kokusai's delinquents labeled him 'The World's Biggest Nerd' and went out of their way to harass and intimidate him. One of the school's delinquents, Yusuke Hajiwara, had a particularly burning hatred for Ken.

Ken, being a pure intellectual and academic, was a coward and a pacifist. This combination of personality traits irritated Yusuke to no end.

"You're a man, aren't you?!" he would scream in his face, "Then fight back!!!"

But Ken never would fight back. This led to Yusuke beating him bloody everyday after school near the parking lot. Today was no exception.

Yusuke had Ken by the front collar of his black uniform and slammed him up against the outer wall of the exit to the student parking lot.

"You gonna fight back today, Toyama-san?!" he screamed in his face.

"Come on, Hajiwara-san!" Ken replied with terror in his eyes, "Let me go!"

Yusuke gritted his teeth in anger and frustration.

"You spineless wimp! I'm going to beat some manhood into you if it's the last thing I ever do!"

Yusuke punched Ken in the jaw almost hard enough to break it with his right hand. He followed that up with a left body uppercut to the solar plexus that folded Ken in half around his fist. Yusuke grabbed Ken's hair with his left hand to pull his head up before punching him in the nose with his right hand almost hard enough to break it. Ken fell to the ground and just barely avoided cracking the back of his head on the asphalt. Yusuke finished him by kicking him in the stomach almost as hard as he could. He then cocked his head to the side with a solemn look on his face in order to regard his work.

Ken was crying in pain and fear, tears running heavily down his cheeks. Blood oozed from his nose and from both sides of his mouth. He had scrapes, cuts, and bruises all over his face and body.

"Tomorrow, Toyama-san, I'm not going to hold back at all. You'd better man up by then or you might just die."

Yusuke then walked away, leaving Ken writhing in pain on the ground.

I'm interested once more in a sensei x student idea. The idea would take place at a city of your choice within the US. My character is a retired professional MMA fighter and Muay Thai teacher teaching at an MMA gym. Your character is a younger woman (no younger than 18, preferably.) who comes to the gym seeking training in MMA. Perhaps her reasons are based in health and fitness. Perhaps it's to protect herself from a creep in her life. Or perhaps she wants to be a WMMA fighter. The motivation is up to you.

Either way, YC and MC eventually begin a romantic/sexual relationship outside the gym. While I'm not necessarily opposed to instant sex, I would prefer instant chemistry leading into acknowledgment of shared values, connection, and compatibility as they get to know each other. I would also like there to be some kind of story here. If she joined for health and fitness, the goal is to reach a target weight and/or physique. If she joined to fend off a creep, she beats up the creep. If she joins for WMMA, she trains for an amateur fight. I'm fine with lots of sex and sex adjacent stuff happening on the way to the goal. I'm just not preferring for sex to be the whole thing unless you have some ideas on how to broaden that in a way that might interest me.

If you have experience with martial arts and MMA, this idea might be of natural interest to you. If not, don't feel afraid to ask and plan. I have seven years of Karate experience as well as experience training in Muay Thai in an MMA gym. I haven't cage fought for real (yet), but I'm fairly knowledgeable about this space. I'll do everything I can to make this an enjoyable story for you regardless of knowledge or experience.

You will become a new Conqueror, perhaps even a Destroyer, where you will train on Combatia in the Universe of Gods, where the greatest warriors live. From the planet Grym, which is barely habitable. Team Firestar is sponsored by Firestar, the God of Fire. Firestar was originally Alan Arnan, a mutant hero with the codename Firestar who earned the right to fuse with the previous God of Fire after saving Earth One from the Supreme General of Planet Hell, in other words, the most powerful Fire Demon and leader of Hell's Nine Generals, who are the most powerful demons on Planet Hell at any given time. Firestar underwent the apotheosis and created his own planet named after himself in the Universe of Gods. He issued a warning to the Nine Generals that he would attack Planet Hell if they allowed more demons on Earth One anytime soon. With the Supreme General temporarily dead, the Nine Generals gave Earth One a grace period.

Any planet in the Multiverse of Mortals, including Earth One, is under constant threat from native planetary threats, aliens from other planets, aliens from other dimensions, or aliens from the Universe of Gods (most often demons but not always). In order to even the odds, a New God may become guardian of a planet and sponsor a team of mortals. This must be done because the Divine Edicts prevents any god, Old or New, from directly walking or fighting on mortal soil. There are three Old Gods; Omega, God, and Satan. Omega is the endless darkness that God pissed off when he created life and the two fought until Omega was rendered dormant for billions of years; afterwards, God and Satan, who are the sources for good and evil among all beings, fought each other before realizing that gods, demons, angels, and humans couldn't all share the same universe. The Divine Edicts are rules governing how gods can interact with the mortal world.

Old Gods do not have physical bodies, though can create physical avatars, if necessary. The Divine Edicts separated existence into two planes; the Universe of Gods and the Multiverse of Mortals. The first two planets in the Universe of Gods were Heaven and Hell, ruled by God and Satan respectively. Earth One was the first mortal planet and its history continued on with memories of gods, demons, and angels. The dormant Omega was the darkness of space in the mortal world. Over billions of years, more planets in both universes were created and Immortal Agents like angels or demons, who serve Old or New Gods (New Gods have physical bodies) were allowed to visit mortal planets under strict rules.

Immortal Agents, like demons, reincarnate twenty-four hours after being killed unless they are Arch beings, in which case they may reincarnate a year or even years later depending on how powerful they are. Mortals do not reincarnate when killed but in exchange, they are allowed to ascend to the Universe of Gods with their immortal soul. The only way for a mortal to visit the Universe of Gods while still alive is to be brought to one of its planets by a God, usually a New God. Usually only the most powerful mortals of a planet, who fight under a New God's banner, receive this privilege. This is in keeping with the complex rules governing the separation of mortal and immortal beings.

Firestar needed a Champion and initially recruited King Adolphus of planet Kash-Volt, which was being oppressed by the Grymwar of planet Grym, who served a reawakened Omega that still wanted to kill all life besides himself (the Grymwar did not know that Omega planned to kill them, too.). Firestar powered him up with a Soul Bonding, an ancient technique in which a god places the soul of one being into the body of another. The soul of the Voltari King, Honor, was placed inside the body of the Kashan King, Adolphus. This created a powerful warrior clad in red and gold Voltari Armor who wielded Soul techniques, most notably the Fist of Honor, a powerful Soul strike. This two souled being was given the code name Liberator, since they fought for the freedom of Kash-Volt. Liberator destroyed the Grymwar army and nearly killed Omega's Champion, Blood Saint Dulzak (who barely survived the battle with Liberator himself), but died at the end of the battle.

With the help of Firestar, Kash-Volt developed the technology to Soul Bond on their own. It was called VAWS, or Voltari Armor Weapons System. However, a Voltari fusing with a Kashan caused the warrior to die of a disease similar to cancer every time. A Champion not from Kash-Volt was needed. Honor's son, Valor, agreed to be Soul Bonded to a human from Earth One, Firestar's original home. Firestar ultimately chose 18 year old professional MMA fighter Scott Young to be his Champion due to the courage he showed in saving a woman from armed human traffickers using only his MMA skills.

Scott Soul Bonded with Valor, becoming Crusader, a warrior clad in black and gold armor wielding Soul techniques, most notably the Fist of Valor, a powerful Soul strike. He was introduced to the mages of Wintergreen above London, England; the mutants of Shadowgreen near Paris, France; and the martial artists of United Clans in the mountains of Hokkaido in Japan. The World Tournament took place on Planet Firestar in the Universe of Gods and Crusader won to become Champion of Earth One and Captain of Team Firestar. Crusader returned to Earth and Firestar's old house in New York City became Team Firestar Headquarters. All applicants to Team Firestar undergo a ten minute fight with Crusader. If they last ten minutes, they're in.

All beings can become Destroyers, or gods of war. There is a planet of only Destroyers in the Universe of Gods called Combatia. Destroyers are New Gods that can walk the mortal plane if they A) were born there and B) power down to mortal levels of Soul Energy. Destroyers are one of the few New Gods that can walk the mortal world under strict rules. Team Firestar all have great potential to become Destroyers. If they do, they can train on Combatia and become even greater warriors (Scott's Destroyer form is red and gold armor, representing Valor's father, Honor).

There are only two rules in Team Firestar: Do not kill mortal beings and answer the call when your planet needs you, no matter what. Firestar gives his team infinite funding and allows them ultimate freedom outside of those two rules. The no killing rule stemmed from losing Liberator, who died because he killed Blood Saint Dulzak's son Kronz and so the clash of Soul Screaming almost killed both Liberator and Dulzak and sadly did kill Liberator. Answering the call just comes naturally when you commit to protecting the innocent, the core value of Team Firestar under Crusader's leadership. The Champion and Captain titles are held for a minimum of five years. After this, the titles must be either defended by their current holder or relinquished and earned by the others, including any chosen successors, in a World Tournament on Planet Firestar.

Old God Omega is the inveterate foe of all mortal life and is constantly looking for ways to kill off Team Firestar by creating his own Champions or otherwise manipulating attacks on Earth One or Kash-Volt.
 
A seventh bump on Valorverse plots.

Now accepting canon characters from other fandoms blending into Valorverse. I'd consider playing Valorverse characters in a different fandom's setting(s), too.
 
Crusader landed a flying knee on the face of a dimensional invader, shattering his nose and sending him flying backward. As he starfished unconscious on the ground, the defender of justice landed lightly upon his feet before settling back into his Muay Thai stance.

“Not in my house, bitch,” he said with conviction.
 
Liberator

The man who fought against the army of a God of Endless Darkness. The man who championed the ideals of a God of Fire. The man who was a King to his people. The man who loved his wife, his Queen, with all he had. The man who fought as one with Honor. The man who died to secure peace and tranquility for his people.
 
My latest idea is somewhat similar to the original Yu-Gi-Oh!, where Pharaoh Atem and Yugi Mutou shared a body.

My character is a bullied nerd who is always getting beaten up. One day, however, the soul of a great warrior is forced into his body. The reason is still being crafted. In any case, the next time my character is getting wrecked, the warrior soul takes over and obliterates the bully. This attracts the attention of more and more powerful fighters while weaving together a more and more complex plot.

YC could be MC's childhood friend, perhaps similar to Anzu Masaki, Yugi's childhood friend. Perhaps she likes him as more than just a friend and it hurt her that he didn't previously stand up for himself. Maybe she's nursed his wounds? Maybe there's a weird love triangle with the warrior soul?

Or perhaps you're a female warrior unimpressed by the nerd but gets crushed by and falls in love with the warrior soul?

Or maybe you're a friend of the warrior soul possessing a modern woman's body?
