At this point the migraine blooms behind and around Veeios’ eye. He feels the outer corner of his eye twitch and he presses at it with the heel of his palm with a soft sigh. For roughly two minutes he remains silent after Cam’s rough explanation of the situation, attempting to keep the throbbing ache in his head at bay whilst also trying to thread some sort of decently coherent reply together.
During the brief, but nevertheless awkward, respite from the conversation, Kaerius has to look away for a moment. Even he can pick up on to what Cameron’s laying down. Even if the blond doesn’t seem too beat up about it, he still feels like an ass. Granted, from the sounds of it, there were dozens of worse people that could’ve been his first. Kae still felt like an ass again. The silver lining of the situation was extremely thin. It was still there, he knew, but still all too easy to cross.
It’s the muttered “alright…” that pulls Kaerius out of rough waters and his attention drifts back to his brother. Vee’s hand is pressed against his temple — a sign that Kae knew meant his twin had an awful headache — as his gaze shifts between Cameron and Kae. “Seems there’s no way around it, is there.” While phrased as a question, it was undoubtedly a statement. Veeios sighs and closes his eyes again, unsure if he wanted to attempt to go back to sleep at this point or just test his body’s limits with a full pot of coffee. “If it’s at all possible, a good warning next time would be appreciated, thanks.”
