A mask and a mystery[Me/Anansi]

Standing in the gardens a few days later he cut a ribbon and gave his usual smile and wave routine to the crowd. After a speech about the importance of nature in Gotham and a cursory scan of the crowd to make sure someone like Poison Ivy wasn't lurking among them he left the podium walking off into the new and still empty garden before it became crowded.

She was waiting in a nice light blue dress that stopped at her knees having snuck into the new garden. She looked up seeing him and giggled "Hey you." She let her hair down and looked more relaxed and like the girl he once knew as she walked over to him and giggled more. "I hope I didn't scare you or break any big bad rule there was a gate open so I snuck in to surprise you."

"Oh what a pleasant surprise." He said to her noting to remember to have more guards on patrol. Nodding to her he took her arm and led her deeper into the garden.

She smiled and walked with him threw the garden "It's beautiful what I've seen so far." She looked to him "Sorry I had to sneak in there was no where else to stand you have quite a fan base."

"I do? I never really noticed." He said with a light hearted chuckle before he nodded to her and slowly reached out his hand offering it to her. Shall we walk?

"Then I'll be your biggest fangirl." She chuckled and smiled to him then she took his hand "Lets I can't wait to see this place I've heard alot of good things."

"Aww, the queen of them all. " He said teasingly as he stroked her cheek and then slowly walked down the path. "Yes we had some rather ingenious botanists, the designs were based on some of those by Doctor Pamela Isley." He said slowly. "Before the change."

(Opened it before I got banned, thought I replied because it wasn't filled.

"Aww thank you." She giggled and blushed feeling his hand on her cheek "Well its beautiful no matter who designed it." She looked around and then back to him "I love the Tulips they're so pretty and the Roses and all the butterflies that visit." She squeaked as one landed on her nose "I think that's good luck."

[Oh ok well that's allright I'm just glad you back-hug-]

"I see, well." He said as he pulled his hand back and shook his head before continuing. "I used to like coming here with my parents, I changed it partially due to the memories, some of them were too much for me to truly enjoy this place anymore, now that is different, it kind of dulls the pain." He said solemnly for a moment before he smiled. "I do like the tulips too, they were my mother's favorite, my father always prefered the orchid house." He stated almost in a low sigh of a voice.
(Aww I'm sure you could hace continued with a number of guys, you're a decent rper and quite the joy to be around OOC)

"I liked going riding with daddy or we'd go walking into the square. I go riding now and it's living good memories and I just feel free but I know how you feel." She looked to him and smiled "I guess great women have good taste." She giggled lightly and nodded "Dad wasn't one for flowers he had allergies but I always painted them for him he liked those best he said they didn't die or needed watering." She had a girlish smile on her face and thinking back with him was the first time in ages she had.

[Not really just two I like alots but i like ours too n,n]

"I'd not know." He said slowly. "You had parents growing up, I had..well I guess I had a father figure in alfred, but its hard to have a father who works for you." He said with a slight laugh and a nod of his head as he walked along with her. "Some women have just a taste for money." He added while he stroked his fingertip along the edge of her palm before taking her hand in his.

"I really only had one parent mom didn't talk to me much I mean I guess she loved me but she always acted weird." She shrugged and looked to him "I don't remember alot with her I know more stuff me and dad did and you could've always come to stay with us Bruce daddy told you that." She heard the thing about money and shook her head "I don't like them for money I liked them because they reminded me of here and of you the white ones made me think of your moms pearls and the white table cloths and napkins."She held his hand and rubbed his with her thumb.

"Mmm it happens with some people. Your father is a good man, he loved you, but his interest in me at the time was primarily monetary, not parental. He and my parents got along but they weren't the best of friends." He replied to her as he continued to walk. "Oh no I mean of the women you spoke of before. Many of them see me as a walking check...a very large check but still." He chuckled.

"I'm sorr I guess I just saw threw rose colored glasses I guess me and gran sure loved you when you came to visit." She smiled and walked beside him "Yeah mom just was there she put a good show on really no one knows what happens behind the gates of home. I wish I didn't remember I was mad when your parents died I always thought I could run away and live with you." She looked down a moment and sighed "I wanted a mom like yours not a nut case like I got stuck with. That's why I took the job here and transfered to escape as strange as it sounds but I find your past follows you."

Laughing he shrugged and made his way through the garden looking at the flowers one by one. "I know, and I liked visiting, but you didn't see the other part of it, all of the people trying to sue Alfred for custody, people making all sorts of accusations, they tried so very hard to gain me as their own little bank account." He said slowly while he gently stroked his thumb along the back of her palm.

"I know but gran wouldn't certainly had you and Alfred both if it wasn't for gran we'd have never met." She knew about bad things behind closed doors "I'd rather be a walking ban account then your mothers reason to be a nut case my mom blamed me for her being bad at art but I was good at it and that she couldn't ride horses well people never believed me when I said what she did to me but the statue of limitations ran out so I'll never get justice not until the day she dies I guess at least you had good a mother for a sort time instead of an awful one for a lifetime."She looked to him and cleared her throat "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that and ruined things I just haven't told anyone in so long."

"Its fine dear" He said slowly as he stroked his fingers through her hair.

She looked to him and smiled "Thanks Bruce I'm glad I can talk to you." She looked to the flowers and smiled "I wish I had brought my camera it's so pretty a hammock and a nice breeze." She looked to him and sighed happily "I'm gad you invited me I feel relaxed more then usual."

He laughed softly before he nodded and continued to walk with her slowly as his hands brushed the tops of the rose bushes slowly. "Its good to relax, let your guard down on occasion."

She smiled and nodded looking to him "Yeah it is and its nice to have someone to do it with that I trust so much." She rubbed his hand wit her thumb and kissed his cheek "That's for being so nice to me."

Smiling he gently returned the kiss to her cheek. "Its fine, its my pleasure." He said slowly with a slow nod.

She smiled and blushed lightly "Wanna grab a bite to eat? I've been wanting sushi but its so boring to go by myself." She laid her head on his arm as they stopped ad literally smelled the flowers.

"Yeah sure, Alfred has the car around the corner I know this great place in town." He said slowly as he turned and gently led her by her hand toward a gat.

She smiled and looked to him "Great I haven't found a good place yet though you know all the good stuff. You should write a book." She giggled and held his hand walking with him to the gate and was happy to have such a nice day she didn't expect it.

"No its more like my family and our conglomerate owns much of Gotham's real estate and as a result I get invited many places." He replied almost shyly with a snicker.
