Denial: Victim Style. [Requiem + Chedder]

Riley nodded and smiled, hoping he would be able to see Amon soon, if not on Monday at school. He blushes a darker shade of red when the boy kissed his cheek. He shyly smiled and bit his lip softly. As the boy pulled away Riley puled the boy back into a hug. He held Amon close for a few moments then quickly stepped away. He was a bit embarassed that he did that.

"Uh yeah m-me to....." He waved slightly to Amon and tured to walk to his car. He walked slowly and awkwardly. His muscles where starting to tighten up from football practice earlier that day.

Amon blushed a deep shade of red when he was pulled into a gentle but firm embrace. It made him feel...all sorts of things before Riley released him. He felt his hope rise up a bit when Riley voiced that he wanted to see him soon as well. It made him...feel good. Waving back at the other boy as he walked towards his car, Amon soon walked in the other direction to get to his, feeling his soreness like a punch in the gut. He was gonna need a bath to loosen up his muscles and a good amount of rest. He winced slightly when he sat down before adjusting and turning on his car. The engine roared to life before purring like a kitten as he shifted into reverse and then first gear before driving away, honking the horn once before he headed home.

Riley opened his car door and lazily plopped down on the smooth ther seat, he sighed and tossed hus bag over to the passenger side seat. He leaned forward and rested his arms and chin on the stirring wheel. He let out a soft moan as he shifted a bit, feeling his muscles all sore. He watched Amon sart his car and drive off, he heard a faint honk and smirked tiredly. He leaned back in his seat and started his car up. He turned on the radio to some calming classical music and started out of the parking lot towards home.

It didn't take long for Amon to reach home since he lived not too far from the school. Pulling up to the drive, he turned off the engine and listened to the sound of it cooling. For a moment, all he could do was sit and stare out the window, reminiscing. His father's truck wasn't in the drive and his mother's car was at the shop, so he predicted that he was going to have the house to himself. His twin sisters were at their after school programs, playing sports or music as he opened the front door and slipped inside. He walked up the stairs to his room and dropped his bag before sprawling out on his bed. He was sore, very sore, and tired. With a yawn, however, he sat up and opened his bag, pulling out what he needed to do his homework. He went through it all, even some of the stuff that wasn't due until the end of the week. It was probably seven or later when he conked out, passing out among all the books and papers.

Riley drove for about 30 minutes towards the city till he reached a large estate of condo's. He drove o the far end of the vast area and parked infront of a cram white building. A yellow buggy was parked infront his down stairs neighbors garage. Looked like their son was home. What a drag. This boy was fairly annoying and to peppy for Riley's taste. He reached over and grabbed his bag. He turned off the car and got out, he sighed when he looked at the stairs up to his front door.To many he thought to himself as he waddled over to them. They seemed to never end and he was braething slightly hreavy once he reached the top.

"Finally home......"He panted and unlocked the door. No sooner had he entered his house was he mauled by two tan corgys and one yipping pomerainian."Oh god no....." He grumbled and they jumped and barked, alarming his return. He tossed his bag over to the couch and walked into the kitchen."You guys hungry?" He used a bit of a baby tone when he did this. He had a soft spot for his boy's. He pulled out their dog food bag and poured some food in each of their bowls.

"There you go now.......Daddy's got to get some rest." As he left the kitchen, the small dogs followed right behind him, all the way to the couch. Then to his room and back to the living room. He plopped on the couch and sat staring at the dog's as they stood waiting for him to play. "Nuh! go to sleep or something."He whined and tryed to shoo them away.

Soon enough they scampered away to go eat, he chuckled softly and sprawled out on the couch, he flicked on the tv and relaxed. Maybe around 8 p.m. just as news was turning on he fell asleep.

"Amon! You awake, son?"

Amon's father, Gregori yelled from the bottom of the stairs. Amon groggily came away, hearing some barking sounds downstairs and the tinkling laughter of the twins and his mother. Rubbing his eyes as he sat up, he shook out his hair and stuffed all his books and papers into his bag and plopped it down on the floor near his night stand. He wasn't a clean freak, but he did like things to be orderly in his room. He heard his father's Southern Drawl again to formulate his name before he called back.

"Yeah, I'm up!"

"Dinner's on the table, son."

He heard the heavy rhythm of his father's boots as he moved into the dining room. They didn't have a large house, but it was big enough to fit all of them and was cozy. Pressing his feet to the floor, he forced himself to stand despite the protest of his joints and muscles. Damn did he get a work out today...A smile light up his face along with a guilty blush before he shook the images and sensations away. Yawning lightly, he made his way slowly down the stairs and into the kitchen. His dog, Malcolm came barreling at him but he dodged just in time. The Great Dane pulled a u-turn and licked his face by barely jumping. The beast was huge after all. His sisters giggled and gave him kisses and hugs while his parents greeted him before he took his seat across from the twins. Despite how his family didn't go to church or anything, they always said grace for the sake of their family dinners. His sisters set it off this time and soon their was laughter and talks about how their rehearsals went and such as Amon quietly ate his food, trying not to yawn or wince. His father clapped him on the shoulder and he yelped. Gregori grinned.

"Getting used right, I take it? You work yourself too hard sometimes, son. What happened this time?"

"I missed a throw. It was a terrible pass, but I still hate that I missed it."

His father went on to talk that despite the pride he took in the fact that his son worked his ass off, he didn't want him working himself too hard. He knew Amon didn't love football, but he enjoyed himself when he played. He was proud of his son and liked to think he always would be.

Around twelve or so one of the little trouble makers decided he wanted to go on a night walk to take a piss. The pudgy old corgy named Max waddled his chubby butt over to the couch and stared at Riley laying in a strange position on the couch. After a few moments of preperation the small dog let out a wicked loud howl. The sound peirced the sleeping boy's ears and it was alarming.

"Wha-?! huh?! not me!" He yelped and rolled of the couch, knocking his knee on the coffee table in the process. The small dog had scampered off, startled from the comotion he hid under the sheep skin rug infront of the fire place. Riley groaned and rolled over, looking up at the ceiling and wincing slightly. This was a lovely way to wake up from a pretty good dream.

He shot a glare over at the small dog who cocked his head to the side. As if to act like he didnt know what was going on. Riley sighed and pulled him self up, limping a bit as he walked into the kitchen to check the time."Oh great Max.....Your lucky its Friday." He hobbled over to the dog basket next to the door and grabbed the three leashes.

He looked around for Rudy and Biggles. They seemed to not be fazed by the loud sound."Come on mutt...." He leaned over and beconed for Max. The dog ran over to him, his small nubby tail wiggling. Riley clipped the leach and tossed the other two leashes back in the basket."Looks like its just you and me......" He pulled on his hood and opened the front door.

His family prattled on and he couldn't help but feel slight guilt at hiding what had happened in the locker room. But he knew his father well enough to know that he would never be able to mention it unless he wanted to be dead to him. With a suddenly heavy heart, he helped clear the table before grabbing the keys to his car and pulling on his sneakers. His dad stopped him in the hall to the front door.

"Where you going, son?"

His father's deep bass voice and Southern drawl had always put him at ease...until he got angry.

"Just for a drive, a lot on my mind. All my homework is done. When do you want me home?"

He looked to his father and saw the gears spinning in his head before his father just nodded and patted his shoulder before waving him off as he went to accompany his wife in the living room.

"Just be home before breakfast, all right?"

He smiled lightly as he exited the house and hopped in his car. He needed to drive and just clear his head. He fished his phone out of his pocket...and thought about dialing Riley's number. But what if the guy thought he was being clingy even though what they did had been monumental? For a few moments, he just sat in his car before driving the key home and starting the engine. He backed out of the drive and put it in gear, driving towards town and wondering if he should go and hang out with Riley, if he wanted Amon around.

He bent over and hoisted up the pudgy fur ball. He winced as he stood back up. Al of his muscles tightened and were soore. The ones that bothered him the moat where the muscles closest to his back end."Why am I so sore." He muttered and started down the stairs. He thought about practice, running drills and what not. Then a slight blush tinted his cheeks when he thought about the events that took place in the locker room with Amon. He chuckled shyly at the thought and set the small dog down in the grass once they reached the bottom of the stairs.

"Well thats why........." He whispered to himself, almost like he was talking to himself and some what to the dog. He slipped his hand into his pocket. He was surprised when he felt his phone in his pocket. He pulled it out and looked at it curiously. Checking for texts or recent messages."Hmm......." He thought about Amon for a few moments then he thought about calling him. But he was most liekly asleep by now and didnt wasnt to bother him for no reason. Though it would be nice to talk to him right now.

He sighed and slipped the phone back in his pocket, just as the dog finished waddling around a bush inspecting it."Come on Max...." The dog let out and annoyed whine as he scampered over to another bush. He didnt like to be rushed when he was doing his bussiness. Riley grumbled and folded his arms over his chest, waiting for the dog to finally pee.

Amon drove for awhile, wondering if he should call or if he shouldn't. His phone wiggled around his lap as he drove, making him antsy to call. He didn't know what time it was and he didn't want to wake him up...Taking a turn and pulling into the parking lot of the local convenience store, he gave up pussy-footing around the fact that he wanted to call.

"Ah, screw it!"

He muttered as he flipped his phone open and went through his contact list. He had a few texts from his friend Janelle and her brother Jeffrey, wanting him to chill and go to a party. But he wasn't interested in partying tonight. Finding Riley's name, he stared at for a moment, blushing and smiling with a bit of pride, and like he had a secret. Which he did, but obviously wouldn't admit to anyone. His thumb stroked the send button, not applying enough pressure to call until he finally pushed it, feeling anticipation mixed with the dread of rejection as he listened to the dial and ring.

Max squated in a near by bush and finally peed. He kicked dirt atthe bush with his back legs before prancing over RIley, feeling proud of what he had just done."Good boy."Riley smiled and leaned over to pet the small dog softly on the top of his head. He stood up and thought for a moment. Max hadnt gotten a chance to be outide all day and no one seemed to be out right now. He unhooked the dog's leash, as soon as he was free, Max ran off full speed into a large grassy area.

Riley smiled slightly and sat at the bottom of his stares watching the dog run around, chase a few bugs and stumble a few times. Just then he felt a buzzing in his pocket. It was his phone and he expected it to be from his parents. He reached into his pocket and pulled it out. He glanced at the screen and couldnt beleive it. He was just thinking about Amon and now he was calling Riley....Kind of strange but he didnt care. He quickly answered it and scanned the grassy plain. Looking for Max.

"Hello" He answered as soon as he got the phone to his ear.

Upon hearing Riley's voice, Amon froze up, unable to say anything for a minute. He hadn't really expected him to answer, had thought he would end up at voice mail and just leave some message. It was weird to feel like this, but he took a breath and answered him calmly.

"Hey...How are you?"

He asked lamely and he almost hit himself. He felt way too wound up and so he put on some quiet music to help calm him down. It helped that it as a nice night and wasn't rainy or balmy. Just pleasant overall. He reclined a bit in his seat as he drummed his fingers across his flat stomach.

Riley leaned back against the stair behind him, it was slightly uncomfortable but he could deal with it.He felt his heart skip a beat when he heard Amon's voice. He blushed at the thought of how giddy he was acting. He felt butterfly's in his stomach and he cleared his throat.

"Im fine, a little sore but still breathing...You?" He chuckled lightly and tried to calm himself. Max trotted over to Riley, tongue hanging out and panting. Riley rolled his eyes and patted the dog on the top of his head. He moved to get up and this time jogged up the stairs. Bad idea. He was tired by the time he got to his door.

"About the same, just really bored."

He ran his free hand over the steering wheel, blushing a bit more but loving how Riley sounded. It was different now, of course. He had never expected Riley to be...his. Considering how much they fought and overall picked on each other, he hadn't thought this was possible, or that his heart would flutter in his chest and how butterflies took up residence in his stomach. He could hear Riley's steps on the stairs as he reclined and waited for the other to catch his breath.

Riley couldnt help but smile listening to Amon speak. He couldnt beleive he would ever feel this way about the boy. Or that AMon would feel this way to, after being such a jerk and asshole he expected Amon to never talk to him again. He pushed open the front door and let the small dog inside."Oh hehe, sounds lame....." He taunted playfully and kicked off his shoes while shutting the front door. He pressed the speaker phone button on his cell so he could have his hands free. His stomach growled lightly and he looked to the kitchen. Maybe there was left overs? He walked into the kitchen with his phone.

"So whats up?" He asked and set his phone down on the nearby kitchen counter. He slipped his arms out of his sweat shirt and pulled it off. This caused his long black hair to get a bit messy. He tossed his sweatshirt aside. Max quickly moved onto it and made him self at home. He was due for a hair cut.....

Amon heard the taunt and the rustle of clothing and couldn't help but think about the locker room again. As much as he got cranked up and wanted to be with Riley like that again, he knew it wasn't good to have a relationship based just on that, even though it had been mind-blowing. He sighed lightly as he fingered a thread dangling from the hem of his shirt.

"I was just wondering..."

He trailed off, not sure exactly what he wanted to ask or if Riley would want him around. He had way too many uncertainties roaming through his head and so he just stepped up as he cleared his throat and sat up in the seat as if it would give him more courage.

"I was wondering if you were free right now."

Riley continued to listen to Amon as he spoke on the Riley opened the fridge door and peaked in, leaning in slitghly. He spotted a tupawear of spaghettie. He reached for it and pulled it out, shaking it around a bit an dlooking at it. He then heard Amon ask if he was busy. Riley froze for a moment and thought this might be a chance to see Amon again. And that got him excited.

"Of course...."He stammered a bit and stared in awe at his phone. He blushed a bit from his reaction and walked over to his phone. Leaning on the ocunter next to his phone." I mean...Yeha I am.....Er Why?" He tried to play coy and not ask to meet Amon just yet. He didnt want to say something thinking thats what Amon meant then the boy not want to see him.

"I uh....was wondering...if you might want to hang out...with me?"

He said, his face turning beat red as he stared at his dashboard and ran his fingertips along the steering wheel shyly. He cleared his throat, feeling his throat tightening up in the slightest. He coughed once before he spoke again.

"I mean...unless you don't want to, I'll understand."

Please say yes, please say yes! He thought to himself as he stared at the lights of his dash, realizing his car was still running as he focused on the music to calm himself down. He hold his cellphone to his ear with his shoulder as he changed gears and started driving around. It wasn't smart to drive with him on the phone, but he couldn't keep sitting there.

RIley gulped and bit his lip to hold back his excitement. He did want to hang out with Amon but didnt know if he should come over or if they should meet some where. He set the cold spaghetti on the counter and tapped his foot nervously on the floor. He cleared his throat to speak and he looked at the phone.

"Of course I would want to...."His voice craked slightly as he blurted out the sentence. He felt his face heat up a bit and he ran his fingers through his hair, thinking of something else to say."Er, would you want to meet some where or uh....." His palms got a bit sweaty and he shyly looked down, drawing small patterns on the counter top."Or would you want to come over?"

(It's Amon. XD)

Amon waited patiently for Riley to finish talking and he felt his face heat up along with his neck at the thought of going over to Riley's house...he couldn't but wonder..

"Are your parents home?"

He blurted before he could stop himself. He cursed himself as he took a turn and stopped at a set of lights. He really wanted to beat himself up. He stared at his phone for a minute before putting it back to his ear and hoping that Riley wouldn't think he wanted just sex from him. He wanted way more than that but he didn't know what to say as his throat closed up.

(I totaly knew that ._.)

Riley smiled hearing Amon's response. He flipped the top of the container off and placed the spaghetti in the microwave to nuc it for a while. In the process getting some sauce on his fingers. He glanced around, almost sarcastically and looked back at the phone as if he was looking at Amon.

"Yeah they're gone......Out of town for a while." He tossed the top into the sink and licked a bit of sauce off his finger as he entered the timer with the other hand. As the microwave started and hopped up onto the counter and took the phone in his hand."You want to swing by and hang for a while. If thats ok with your 'rents?" Yes indeed he was excited in more ways than one but he tryed not to think about Amon and sex all the time. It was rather hard though with his vivd memory of earlier events that day.

"Sure, I'm free all night."

Why oh why did he have to put his foot in his mouth? He let out a heavy sigh as the light changed and he put his feet to the peddles, shifting gears before he took a right. He wasn't sure where Riley lived, and so he needed to know.

"Where do you live? I don't wanna keep driving around aimlessly..."

He said softly, with a deeper meaning. He didn't want to keep away from him. He sighed lightly as he hooked his phone up to the cradle and put it on speaker as he brushed some of his hair from his eyes.

Riley smiled and took the phone in his hand. He ran his thumb over the buttons of the cell. He was glad he got to see Amon again, he thruthfully didnt know how he would be able to go through the weekend with out thinking about him and waiting for monday. Just as the spaghetti was almost done, all three of the small dogs came running around the corner. Knowing there was food and they were redy to beg.

When Amon said he didnt was to be driving around all night it had just dawned on Riley that Amon was in his car."Ah oh right....you know the complex East wood? The condominiam complex? well Im in the far back at the top of the hill. If you like I could come out and wait for you.....My condo number is 617."

"Yeah, I know where that is..."

He looked around the buildings and figured out that he was about twenty minutes away from the condominium complex. Taking a left he started going straight down a side street until he came to a stop sign and waited for the cars to pass as he tried to figure out which way was faster and which would be more convenient.

"I'll be there in about...fifteen minutes or so."

Amon said quietly as he looked at his phone with a lightening blush. He wasn't in full-bloom anymore, thankfully, but he felt like he was going to be blushing until he got there and then some. His thumb brushed lightly over the end button and found himself frowning a bit, but if he got off the phone, it would be better to talk to his...boyfriend in person.

"I'm gonna let you go now, I'll see you soon."

Max rolled onto his back and looked at Riley pitifully. They didnt even know what he was warming up and yet they still wanted some. He thought it was a bit pothetic but it was partially his fault. Often he shared his food with the dogs just because. It peeved his parents though, and it made Riley laugh.

"Ok cool..." Cool? How lame.......He groaned and bit his lip, that sounded stupid. He let his feet swing as he sat on the counter. It was strange. Even though he didnt talk much to Amon on the phone, and it was a bit awkward at times. He still enjoyed just knowing Amon was on the other end of the line.

He frowned and looked at his phone, he didnt want to hang up but it would be a little pointless if he was going to be able to see him soon. The spaghetti finished and he pulled it out of the microwave. Besides, about fifteen minutes would give him time to clean up a bit. Mainly his room, everything else was perfectly in order. His room looked like a tornado hit.

"Ok well see you soon Amon....."
