Good and realistic(-ish) incest ideas?

Oh yeah, same here. I just want the conflict "acknowledged" by the characters.
 
Depends on how you want it acknowledged. Is the family expecting this? Some dark, incestuous tradition? A complete shock that sees the wife leave her husband out if disgust? Mix?
 
I just want the chars immediately involved to not act like the sexual attraction is the only factor. They should know it's wrong. They should, if a previous relationship exists, value that relationship. I think incestuous tradition hurts the taboo appeal, but that's just my view.
 
Ah that's usualy how I go about it, but I admit it's usually not as drama heavy as others may like. I prefer to be shocking but not life ruining so
 
There's also the idea that they're doing it for the money. I've actually done a story along those lines where they didn't originally start out that way but found out that people paid really well for that kind of content. They ended up using the money to help pay for college expenses.
 
Easy, I play Feminazi near-human aliens where sister and cousin incest is not only socially accepted, but encouraged. It builds stronger bonds and makes them stronger as a species. That's why I like space sci fi, because it allows you to just simply escape Earth norms and do your own thing. It also helps that the aliens have sentitive hair and become really cuddly, loving, and affectionate when you play with it. Sisters will brush each other's hair, playfully mess it up, give headpats, or shampoo each other, and often these encounters will lead to steamy make out sessions or sex. And there's no taboo. It's totally normal on their planet.
 
A few ones:
Uncle and niece sharing an interest, it goes wrong over time (both would have to be pretty shitty people, but I had such a game and he was an armsdealer)
They don't know they are related, by the time they know they're deep into it
Last people on Earth (if you want to roleplay yeaaaaars before it happens, if it does lol)

Less plausible but I love it - An older sister or Aunt has always wondered why their very cute and polite relative has never had a girlfriend. I know this is an older post, but I cracked up laughing when I read this to the point where I cried a little.

Lots of them have been taken. But one concept would be growing up in a family where sex is the family business in some way. So imagine knowing Mom works as prostitute or stripper, or dad does the lights for the stripper at a club or is a pimp. Older sis is talking about her first porn film or nude photo shoot. This could also involve some form of training in the family sex biz by another family member.

Not directly incest but from my perspective weird all the same, for me anyway coming from a family that weren't big talkers about anything let alone sex. I think it would set an interesting tone for a RP.

I was going to say this next idea was fantastical but with what has been going on in the world, I think it falls into a possible vision of a Dystopian universe. Women have taken over culturally and politically. Boys once reaching the age of 16 must now go through a training rite, they have been groomed for this anyway due to the culture they live in. Their mothers and other female family elders take them to an event, like a coming out party. There is a big festival and then the young men are sent to a training academy for young gentlemen to learn how to serve women. Ok, I am getting carried away but I am sure it can be dialled back....

Back to more plausible stuff. We hear stories about fathers pimping out daughters and sometimes mothers as well. Still not incest but it crosses the lines in my opinion. I would like to explore it from the perspective of a mother pimping out her teenage son.

Another could be an Indecent Proposal idea but incest based. Wealthy person offers a million dollars to have mother and daughter (or sister and sister) together. Even if incest is direct just having sex with someone as a threesome is closer than I would wish to get to my family! But it opens up the moral dilemmas I think incest should be based on.
 
personally if i'm going to do an incest roleplay, it's not for the sake of being realistic. a lot of people like the taboo - which is why there's a lot of step something porn out there. that way people can watch the fantasy without it leading to any actual real social consequences.

in a roleplay, you can twist the narrative. you can make the characters not human and a natural part of society, like they're fae and expected to keep the bloodline pure. i mean, humans used to do it when we were still all about playing at kinds and queens.

Twins growing up never being told that their intimacy is wrong but learns to keep it secret since others seem to think it is.

Shame is something humans force on each other. It isn't natural. It being 'wrong' is a matter of perspective. Also, just because you have sex with someone, it doesn't mean you cease to value any previous relationship that you have with that person. I've been friends with benefits with someone. We were and remain friends. Sex didn't change that.
 
To throw my hat into the ring here, if you want realistic-ish reasons for incest, I tend to move towards "Hard times is a good character development tool." To show that, think of the characters going through some rather hard times, maybe the family do not notice or do not care. Then spice things up with the fact that that characters stand up for each other or are a pillar for the other, and then maybe they do not know that it is "wrong" or, they do not care, the world has been terrible to them, so why would they care what they think.

Taking on a non-con perspective, the world is a very fucked up place and a realistic situation for any incest pairing would be under gunpoint.

A kidnapping/hostage situation can make people do things they never imagined they ever could. A sadistic intruder threatens to blow the daughter’s brains out if the father refuses to have sex with her. Neither of them are willing, but they do not wish to die either.

What father/brother/uncle could sign their own relative’s death warrant? This can be switched for Mother/son, or just about any familial pairing really, and it may seem easy to say you wouldn’t but until you’ve faced with a loved one staring down the barrel of a gun, you truly do not understand what you’d be willing to do if it ensures the room isn’t painted red.

Of course this only works for those willing to write darker themes, but there is always the aftermath, the survival, having to face what they did under duress that can twist things into something more consensual. What starts as harmless comfort from a shared trauma can become something more. Without therapy, your mind can twist in all sorts of ways. Sure, it doesn’t happen to everyone, but who is to say? Every mind is different and perhaps a small piece of the characters snapped in just the right way afterward. Perhaps as taboo, and horrible their experience had been, it had felt good. Wracked with guilt and shame, they resist their intrusive thoughts, the poison, but eventually?

Just my own two cents, if you want realism, and have a taste for the darker side of things. Psychological breaks are so interesting to write in my own humble opinion.
 
Depends on what flavor you are going for. I don't have a go to plan for it, but more often than not it has something to do with the aggressor (usually a brother, usually older) having a much more dominating personality and the other sibling being in a situation where making any noise about it could be troublesome.

I often go back to when the siblings were younger playing house, and one of them would always want to play the other's spouse. It's probably some sort of mental issue, but it works for me.

Messing with different time periods and settings, a daughter serving her father could just have been the norm, whether it was public or kept secret.

They all work for me, incest adds a very easy taboo to a story that is quite easy to manage.
 
That depends on what you are looking for. Most go for the typical brother/sister or parent/child thing. Isn't the whole point of incest is that it's taboo? Just take that and run with it.

While I'm not into incest, there is something oddly appealing about William and Michael (from FNAF) since neither are human anymore
 
Any scenario where you are basically stranded with whatever relative partner is playing.

Example: Deserted Island from whatever cruise went wrong. There is actually move/book on it involving a bro/sis I believe or cousins. But it is very controversial. I know movie they used body double for actress as for novel, well I dunno. I never really read or saw films and don't plan to at any rate.

Or if you into a bit out from realism/still somewhat realistic. Any apoc setting could work to. Be it general Zombies or just nuclear fallout where family is forced to survive alone or also gets stranded and starts to give in to primal urges.
 
The most realistic incest I can think of is when both parts don't know they are related. I know, probably not as exciting as the taboo of knowing that it is an incestuous relationship, but is the most realism I can think of.

Maybe both siblings get separated when mom and dad split up, or at first there was only one child but mom/dad has a separate child. They end up meeting several years later, either in school, work, etc.

Oh, last names are similar? Realistically there are many people with the same last name and aren't really related (at least not at first glance).

I am also thinking the same works with parent/offspring relationships. They don't know and therefore is more probable the thing takes place.

Maybe two siblings or cousins could have been really close and one gets feeling for the other one but I just don't know how thay can realistically happen (but I guess it still happens? Idk).

Edit: Not as realistic, but I am thinking on a modern slice of life kind of setting. Rent is expensive for just one person, so siblings/cousins move together and agree to pay rent together. Maybe apartment has only one room. I think it can "realistically-ish" make some sexual tension brew up slowly.

Also, perhaps an scenario where siblings/cousin are very close to the point they are best friends (to make it realistic it could be because they are all they have, mutually. So it isn't like they have another choice but getting along?) And with that friendship, as the story advance, some tension could spark.

I don't know. The room-mate thing is kinda the best way. However, according to people I know who share spaces with a roomie get turned off if they initially liked the person.

My final words: Try to make it plausible but too much realism can ruin it (but everything being so convenient isn't fun either)

I'm a fan of what I guess would be more "Improper conduct" than straight up incest. Like a parent giving consent for their 16 or 17 old to pose nude or do porn etc A father who directs films does one where he directs his daughter in a nude or sex scene as someone else mentioned.

Or even something like a mother who is or was a prostitute/stripper/porn star giving advice to their adult daughter or son on the business.

It doesn't always have to be the full on incest for me.
 
Isolated people. A son lacking social skills can't have a girlfriend, or maybe he lives with his mother in a lonely house far from everything, or he has some kind of physical or mental problem? Mother is lonely too, she decides to "help" him. Sorry if the idea was already posted.
 
What I never see is incest that is realistic, with people involved feeling any guilt or reluctance. Like I dont understand that and some how the oh who gives two hoots approach is not, sexy to me.
