Wyn frowned, a bit frustrated "I-I do-don't know." she murmured, feeling a bit ashamed to be honest, all this was knew to her and she hated not being able to figure out an answer that sounded simple.
"You move the battle field, you are a specialist, you have a limited number of abilities at your disposal unlike Anansi who can resort to brute strength if he needs to." He said. Anansi nodded slowly as though reading rather than acknowledging.
"Yes, and many higher ups of your kind use transportation or wind spells." He said matter of factly to her. "who says you need someone's consent to take them somewhere?" He asked as he tilted his head slowly.
She thought of all the songs she had learned and memorized, all the people she had met and everything she had learned since beginning her travels. "Pr-pretty go-good I-i'd think." she replied with a shrug.
Wyn huffed slightly in frustration, she had no idea what he was driving at and for him to turn away as if she was a waste bothered her. She began to think quickly, trying to figure out what he was meaning, not wanting to end up kicked out of this place and becoming a brood slave as he threatened.
"You didn't give me any detail, I held up three fingers, pinky, index, and ring, my fingers on my hand weren't even there...forget it." He said in a slightly exasperated tone before he shook his head. "We will start at the basics." He said slowly before he waved to her more slowly his hand open. "We will test your memory."
(Augh, Okay I probably could have asked about that sooner, but how about you give me a little bit more of go on. Show what's he's trying to do and at the speed so I can decide if she can see it or not and if she can pick out how well she remembers it.))
(Heh thats the point, he's never taught a mortal so he's going at a speed she can't comprehend, basically I want to piss him off enough so Anansi can do something)
Wyn glared at him, blue-violet eyes holding a spark of temper "T-that's b-because your ha-hand is m-moving to fast f-for, my ey-eyes to s-see!" she snapped, voice sharp. Trying to see the next gesture she made a face and shook her head "It W-was open t-this time, th-that w-was al-all I could s-see." she added, calming now.
"Then you have to get faster don't you?" He replied with a voice conveying annoyance as though her inability reflected on his abilities as a teacher. "You mortals just don't know when to push past your limits." He said yelling and pointing to her somewhat accusingly.
Wyn's mouth opened soundlessly and her eyes flickered with irritation "W-what, s-see f-faster?" she asked, scorn in her voice before she could help it, annoyance and anger at his manner filling her. She folded her arms and took a breath "N-not like th-this no." she muttered, fighting to keep her voice even.
Anansi curtly stood slipping up behind the figure. Suddenly his eyes flashed and he plunged his hand through the apparition's chest. The creature gawked wordlessly before it was pulled inwards as Anansi withdrew. It vanished almost instantly once his hand was clear except for a glowing circle of light. Eventually the light dimmed to reveal what looked like a simple silver ring that hovered in air. "Well you have your first..take the ring" Anansi said to her.
Wyn stared in shock as the form vanished and she looked at him a silent question on her face as to why he did that. Raising a hand she plucked the ring from the air, holding it tightly "Fi-first?" she asked.
"Yes, I mean once you're strong enough we will imprint him into your body but for now you will take him as a ring. Lucifer already knows what I planned to do, he didn't mind, it is only a fraction of his power and in any case he can recover, that creature will grow." He said slowly before nodding to her. "Oh yes, first, its to help you." He said slowly.
"Im-imprint?" she asked, not liking the sound of that in the least. "Hel-help me wi-with the sp-spells, right?" she peered at the ring, looking it over carefully.
