Below are the basics of what is required when you're a Welcoming Committee team member:
- 1) Personalize each greeting. If a new member's intro is lacking substance, then try to comment on their username or make a general inquiry.
- 1a) Somewhere within your greeting, be sure to include a link to the Site Rules, as this helps alleviate early ignorant infractions and answers some frequently asked questions.

- 2) Post in the introduction section at least a few times a week.
- 3) Maintain an overall professional appearance. You may joke and contribute to silliness, but refrain from politics, religion, and vulgarity in greetings.
- 4) If greetings are caught up, check back on some replied-to intros to see if any new members asked questions after your greeting.
- 5) Only give the time that you have to spare. Do not overextend yourself or stress yourself out thinking that you are being graded.
