A Stone's Throw Away (PoisonousIvee/Mr.Aznable)

He nodded and made a cross as well before stepping out of the booth.

Cora was there with the other sisters, helping the small few that were in the church for Confession. She noticed Julius leave the booth and offered a soft smile.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He smiled back and moved back to his home, simply enjoying the walk home.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

Later that night, there was a knock before the door opened, "Julius?" Ah, just Cora

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He looked up. "Cora? What is it?" He asked.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"I just wanted to visit. Maybe cook for you, I'm told you're rather busy." She smiled.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Ah, I am.." he said. "Well, not now, simply resting from today.." he said with a smile.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Would you mind if I made you dinner?" She asked.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"No no, of course not..!" He said with a smile.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She nodded and went to the kitchen to begin cooking.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He went back outside for a bit, and she could hear him working. He sounded strong, and she knew that all too well.

She blushed softly and removed her habit so she could pull her hair up as she cooked. The stove made her wool robes very hot, so she made sure nothing would burn while she went to change.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He was working for some time before he moved back inside, drenched in sweat.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Dinner is almost ready!" She called. It smelled amazing, whatever it was.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He made a noise. "Ah.. Cora, that smells delicious." He said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Thank you, I'm not used to cooking meat, we aren't allowed to have luxury foods like this.." She said sheepishly as she came out. She was in one of his shirts since it fit better and another of his ex wife's skirts.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He tried not to stare, but it was an oddly attractive sight. "Well, I guess you'll have some kind of atoning to do when you return, hm?" He teased.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Oh no, I should be fine. As your guest, I am allowed to eat what you permit me to and cook what you have." She smiled, "Just no meat, as I am an herbivore." She giggled.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He smiled a bit. "Very well, Cora.. Say, would you care for anything to drink?" He asked.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Oh, yes, please...I'll take whatever you have." She grinned.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Well, I have whiskey, wine.. some tea, I think.. and uh.. water.." He laughed.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She felt a little bad, she could really only have water. "One small glass of wine," she said, "if it's good enough for Christ and His disciples,then I see not why we can't have any either.."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He smiled and nodded. He went to the cellar and returned with a bottle of wine, and two glasses as he sat down at the table with her.

She checked on dinner and finished it up, dishing it up and bringing it out. His plate had one of the venison steaks he had stored with a baked sweet potato and corn. The venison had a little bit of butter and a sprinkle of herbs on it. Her plate was just a sweet potato and corn, obviously, but it all looked amazing.

He said grace a little faster, just to begin digging into the delicious meal.
