Hello! I'm Somewhat Useful, but you can call me SU in messages and such (I've got other handles online but I like to keep them separate). I'm an experienced writer and decently experienced RPer from the UK. In the past I've used this thread pretty badly, So I've given it a revamp in the hopes of attracting some new writing partners. (I also have a thread for random cravings of mine here). If anything here catches your fancy, feel free to drop me a PM! I write through PMs, threads, IMs, basically anywhere I can type :)

Worth noting is that I tend not to use faceclaims. I'm just rubbish at finding them 😅 If you've got one you'd like me to use, then I'm happy to, but otherwise expect written descriptions :)

What I'm good at:
  • I'm a pretty skilled writer, and I'll usually write around 2-3 paragraphs per response. I can range anywhere from a few sentences to a page or more depending on how my partner writes, so you really get out what you put in :)
  • I consider myself to be a good character writer. If you want your RP to feel alive and dynamic, I can probably fit that bill!
  • I'm flexible! I'll try anything at least once, no matter how out-there it might be, so don't be afraid to come at me with something new.
  • OOC chat! I firmly believe that to write something good on this kind of platform you need to get on with your writing partner. If we get along well OOC, the RP will likely flow a lot better.
What I look for in an RP:
  • Strong characters! I tend to have the most fun writing with people when their characters feel distinct and alive. Similarly, I like to write characters with real chemistry, instead of the cookie-cutter porno actors you find quite often.
  • Believable relationships! If the characters don't mesh, or the dynamic of the relationship is wrong, it just doesn't work for me.
  • I don't really consider myself dominant or submissive, although I'll happily try my hand at playing either. My characters tend to thrive best when there's a strong power dynamic between them. In other words, I like there to be a back-and-forth between our characters.
  • Plot! This one is very important. I'm all for smut as much as the next guy, but I come to BlueMoon to write, not copy and paste the same, tired old porno script for the hundredth time. I tend to lean towards a 70/30 plot-smut ratio. Sometimes less, often more. Intimacy works because of the chemistry between two characters, not how florid your porn writing is.
What I look for in a partner:
  • Communication is key! Talk to me OOC, ask how things are going, discuss plot elements, the works! Text roleplay is a collaborative effort, and the better the vibe between two writers, the better the end result, imo!
  • Quality, not Quantity! I don't tend to mind how long a response is, as long as it's properly detailed and relevant, so don't worry if you're not the type to churn out paragraphs on top of paragraphs.
  • Don't ghost! This ties back to the first point, but please let me know if you won't be able to post for a while, or if you lose interest. I usually aim to respond once every 1-3 days, and I'll try to let you know if I can't so I'd appreciate if you guys extended the same courtesy :)
  • Have Fun! Writing should never be a chore. If anything needs changing, or you're nit enjoying what we're doing, let me know!
Kinks:

As I said above, I'm not really one who looks for specific kinks in writing. If you've got anything you want to do, just ask me, and I'll most likely give it a go. So instead of posting an F List or anything like that, I've put together a list of hard no's in the bedroom, and my general preferences when writing.

  • Non-con; I've never really been a fan. Dub-con can be interesting, but rape just feels dirty a lot of the time. Don't be afraid to approach me with a non-con role, since there's some pretty interesting writing to be had there, but don't be surprised if I turn it down
  • Bathroom Play
  • Snuff; Specifically as a fetish. I'm fine with death in an RP

Right! Now that that wall of text is done, I've got some plots for those of you who are still here!

The Fugitive and The Outcast
A man falsely accused of the murder of his wife and children comes across a wandering woman out on the road. Pitying her, he offers her a ride to the nearest hotel and a decent meal, only for her to decide to stick around in the long run. This one is pretty open for modification. We can reverse the roles, play with age differences, all sorts! Do they find kindred spirits in one another? Or is there an element of kidnapping? I'd love to play this at the moment, so hmu with your take on it if you're interested and we can plot something out!​

A Demon And an Exorcist Walk Into a bar
This one's pretty simple. For one reason or another, a succubus/incubus and an exorcist end up in close proximity, and things spiral from there. My main idea was for them to meet at a bar, drunk out of their heads, have the fling of their lives, and then end up dealing with the consequences. There are all kinds of directions this can be taken, from a demon-busting duo to a dom/switch dynamic, so if you're interested in fun power struggles, let's talk!​

The Legend of Zelda: Generally one of my favourite franchises. I'd be particularly interested in playing Link or a genderbent Zelda against all sorts of characters. Looking for a more adventurous tone here, or maybe a modern AU?​

Pokémon: I love the world Pokémon presents. I'd be down to play pretty much anything in this fandom, from OCs to Canons, a full journey to a brief encounter. I'm also open to playing as/against Pokémon themselves, depending on the context, so don't be afraid to approach me with anything here :)​

Ace Attorney: I don't have any specific ideas here, but I've loved the world and characters of AA since I first played it. Something I'd be interested in writing would be a retelling of the original trilogy from a more adult perspective, or with slightly re-imagined characters. If that sounds fun, or you have an idea you want to put forward, I'd love to hear from you!​

Star Trek: Originial series, TNG era, even Discovery, I just love writing in this universe. One of my favourite franchises ever, frankly. I have a few ideas for this, and I'm open to playing most of the male cast, so if you want to brainstorm an idea, or bring one of your own, please do!​

  • Teacher X Student: Specifically, I enjoy the taboo elements here, as well as the interesting power dynamics. I enjoy playing both sides, so hmu if you have an idea!

  • Cousins: Specifically, how the characters deal with their feelings and the way their relatedness impacts that
  • Anything else you want to throw at me! These are just some of my favourites :)
