"He was only thirteen! He wasn't old enough to sign a contract!" It was grasping, and deep down Reichen knew that it didn't matter but he couldn't just sit and let his brother be handed over to this asshole!! The teen looked over as his parents, pleading to them with his eyes and whimpering softly. "And Niko isn't his real name anyway!" More grasping, Reichen desperate. "Why do you want him anyway!" It wasn't a dig at Niko, it was Reichen being desperate.

Azazel arched a brow. "Because you want him, and it's much more fun to take him from someone." He smirked before walking toward the boy and snatching the contract. "I will tell you what. The age thing has a point. Now that he's legal, I'll give you a chance, Niko. If you can find someone to love and marry within a year, I'll tear the contract up and you will keep your health. If you cannot, it stays and you are my husband. And do not fake it, I will not be a nice husband if you fake it." He informed him, arms crossing over his torso. "How's that?"

He gasped, eyes widening as he stared at the demon. "I ACCEPT!" He stated, straightening some more. He wasn't sure he could even find anyone, but he hoped he could.

"Yes!" was shouted just as Niko accepted the deal. Reichen could feel himself breathing a sigh of relief with the option. They had time. He had time. He sagged against Tomas a bit and let the worst of the adrenaline drain from him. It took a second before he could straighten up enough to hug Niko, Tomas' arms coming around the both of them as the background people began to filter out of their minds. "Why didn't you tell us, Ni?" he whispered to their brother, sad that Niko had kept this secret from him.

Niko gripped both his brothers, holding onto them with his eyes closed. He pressed his head into the crook of Rei's neck and he held him a little tighter. He did not want to let go. Ever. He looked over, seeing the demon disappear. He sighed and then turned to the two of them. "I... I honestly thought it was um... not real." He bit his bottom lip, teeth digging a little deeper. "I just thought that I was dreaming or... or something."

He shook his head and hugged Niko a little tighter. "But we could have gone to Mama and Papa..." Tomas smacked his head a little and shushed him.

"It's done. Niko has a shot now to get out of it. We can help him now."

Knowing that their brother was right, Reichen said so and apologized to Niko, stepping back and taking a deep breath. "Lets just...enjoy tonight. It's our birthday! We'll worry about it all tomorrow."

Niko was about to protest, tell him how badly he doubted that he would be able to ever find anyone, least of all in a year, when he nodded. He was right. They should just relax and enjoy their day. He smiled and kissed his brothers' cheeks, sighing softly afterward. "Okay. Let's go to dinner! We can drink now."He smiled, looking over at his parents and nodding a little more. "Right Mama, Papa?"

Reichen was going out of his mind. It had been eight months since they'd seen the demon and made the deal, and Niko was still single. Sure, there had been dates. There had even been a boyfriend or two. But no one had been right, and the purple haired teen was scared that he was going to lose his brother. They only had four more months for Niko to fall in love with someone! He was panicking, and he wouldn't admit that he'd run off more than his share of potential husbands for his brother. They weren't worthy of Niko's love!!

He was sitting (pouting) in the kitchen over a glass of chocolate milk, trying to think of another solution.

Niko sighed softly. He was just as anxious and worried as his brother was. He did not know what to do. He was getting nowhere and it was bothering him so much. He walked into the kitchen, sitting beside Rei and leaning his head against his shoulder. His hand moved to link with his, holding it tightly as he did so. "Rei... I... I think I'm screwed." He whispered, tears welling in his eyes as he pressed his head into the side of his arm.

Looking over, Reichen shook his head and wrapped an arm around Niko's shoulders, hugging him. "No. No don't talk like that. We'll figure it out." His head rested on his brother's and Reichen sighed a little bit sliding his milk over to the other. "We still have time." He wasn't sure if he was saying that to ease Niko's fears or his own, but it didn't help either way really. "Maybe we can go to Australia?" he offered, hating the idea even before the words had passed his lips. "They have a lot of kids out there that aren't closely related... And we know they're not any more crazy than Mama's family..."

Niko laughed and hugged him tighter, eyes closed as he buried his face into the crook of his neck He held him a bit more, nuzzling him and refusing to let go.

Tomias walked up behind the two and smacked the back of their heads. "Dumbasses." He said simply then crossed his arms over his torso, looking from one confused face to another. "How about you try each other out? You're both pathetically in love with each other. Put on your big boy freak panties and get in touch with your feelings."

"Hey!" Looking up, he stared at their father, taking in the words. Reichen opened his mouth to speak a few times, but couldn't find the words that he wanted to say. Sure, he loved Niko. They were (sorta in a weird kind of way that only their family could do) twins. They shared a birthday and therefore practically everything else. And he was pathetically jealous whenever anyone looked at Niko with something that barely resembled vague interest. But...date? Each other? His eyes floated down to watch for his brother's reaction, unsure of his own.

Niko had a similar reaction. Lips moving to try and say something but not a single word managed to come out. He soon straightened up his form and looked at the man next to him. "Um... I... I don't um..." He cleared his throat, blushing deeply and he looked down at his lap, arms wrapping around his form. "I mean... I never not ... thought about it but um... I ... I just don't..." He lifted his eyes to the man in font of him.

"I...um..." He couldn't honestly say that he hadn't thought about it. But that wasn't the point of this! He looked over at Niko and shrugged, struggling with his words a little bit more as emotions and thoughts ran around in his head. "Well... I mean... We could... go on a date?" he suggested, rather awkwardly. It felt awkward to be asking his own brother out on a date, and Reichen was sure that it wasn't any more comfortable for Niko, either. "I mean... It can't hurt... right?"

Niko looked up at the other, long lashes batting against his cheeks before he nodded. "That.. That could be nice. NO different than normal, right?" He laughed lightly, rubbing his neck a few times and he nodded some more. "Um. When?"

"Right..." Reichen nodded and smiled at Niko, trying to find his balance in life once more. This had totally thrown him off course and he wasn't really sure how to get back. "Um. Oh. Yeah. Tonight?" Because, lets face it, Niko was running out of time and if this didn't work the way Tomias thought it would then at least Niko wouldn't have lost any time and they could continue to work for a solution tomorrow. The purple haired teen looked at his watch and shrugged. "We'll borrow Papa's car since it was his idea!"

"okay." He smiled with a soft kiss to his brother's cheek.

By the time the evening came, Niko was nervous and excited at the same time. He had a nice pair of charcoal pants to his legs, holding the long, slender limbs nicely. He had a white button down tucked into his pants and a sky blue vest on his torso. Walking to the door, he waited for his brother.

Reichen, desperate (for reasons he refused to conciously acknowledge) to look nice tonight, had borrowed one of Rune's nicer pin-stripe suits (minus the jacket, but with the vest). He'd added a silk shirt and his own shoes before moving down to meet Niko. The purple haired teen was taken aback by the other male. Niko looked gorgeous, but that just made him more nervous. He took a deep breath and descended the rest of the stairs, kissing his brother's cheek once he reached him. "Hi..."

Niko looked over at him and he perked up a little. He did look gorgeous. He smiled warmly and took a hold of his elbow in his arm. He leaned up to kiss his cheek with a blush to his cheeks. "You look... gorgeous, Reichen." He whispered softly, looking him over and blushing more.

"GO!" Tomias pushed both boys out of the house, slamming the door behind them. "AND DONT COME BACK FOR THREE HOURS! I'm locking the damn house."

"We have keys, DUMBASS!" Reichen called back, shaking his head. Besides that, there were two other parts of the house that they could go through to get to theirs. And the fact that the house key they had was on the ring of the key to their father's corvette? Well that was just icing on the cake! He walked his brother over to the car and opened the passenger door for him, but held him in place for a second. The purple haired teen leaned forward and kissed the male's cheek. "Beautiful," he whispered with a shy little smile playing at his lips. Once Niko was safely tucked inside of the car, Reichen closed the door and climbed into the driver's seat, grinning when the engine roared to life. "Where would you like to go?" he asked, pulling out of the driveway and onto the street.

Niko turned to look at his brother and he thought for a moment. He soon shrugged his shoulders and smiled a little more. "I think we should get some food and go to the hill top. The one where we can see the whole city." He smiled warmly as his eyes stayed with the other. "Does that sound good?" He asked, smiling some more as he did so. He did not really want to be in a public place. He just wanted to be with him.

He nodded and sped off towards their favorite little cafe on the edges of town. It didn't take them long to pull in, and when they did Reichen jumped from the car to open the door for Niko. It was a date, right? He took his brother's hand as they moved inside the building and smiled at the waitress on duty. "You two look very dashing!" She smiled at them both and headed for their usual table with menus.

"No, um I think we'll just get it all to go." Eating under the moonlight sounded more romantic than in the harsh florescent lighting of the cafe anyway. He smiled at her nod and lead Niko to the counter, taking a seat on one of the stools after the other male did.

"Your usuals?" she asked, placing two glasses of iced tea in front of them. Reichen nodded.

Niko moved and sat beside his brother with a smile. "Yes, please." He agreed and then pulled the glass closer so that he could sip it. He already enjoyed this whole thing.

Appearing beside Tomas, Azazel sat with his right leg draped over his left and arms crossed over his chest. He turned his head to look at the male there. "I take it you've been left alone." The demon said simply, long lashes batting against his light blue cheeks. His toes wiggled int the air a little, eyes keeping with the man.

Their food was delivered to them, with plates and utensils and tea to go-everything they would need to make a nice, romantic picnic. Reichen smiled at the waitress and paid, leaving a generous tip behind as well. The ride up to the hill was quick, and the purple haired teen was thanking their parents for the blanket in the trunk (and praying it had been washed). He set everything up, being sure to leave plenty of room for them to stretch out and lounge.

He sat once Niko had, leaning back on his elbows with his legs stretched in front of him. Silence reigned for a few minutes before Reichen spoke again. "Are you scared?" he asked, voice quiet to not upset the peaceful setting.

Niko sat down beside his brother, very happy right now. He looked over at the one beside him, smiling a little more. He shook his head. "Nervous." He corrected and then leaned over to kiss his cheek. He closed his eyes as he rested his lips there for a while. He pulled away with a smile, moving over to get the food and dish them out to each other. "This is very peaceful."

"Do... Do you think that Mama was right?" he asked, just as softly while sitting up a little more to begin eating his own food. While his stomach was a little too jumpy to be hungry, Reichen knew that he would be sorry later if he didn't eat now.

He turned to look at the demon and stuck his tongue out at him. "You're a dumbass." Yes, he was pouting. But Tomas figured he had the right to. Everything he had planned was now so screwed up and he was miserable about it. "Fucking worthless demons," he mumbled, slouching in the sofa with a pout to his lips and his arms wrapped around his lower torso.
