Sebastian did not plan to leave Nikkos's side. It was clear that Tomias would need Jupiter, so the green-haired boy kept with the other. Telling the nurse next to him what he knew about Nikkos and his current pregnancy. Bringing up the other kids just so they knew that the other was a bit of a veteran at this. "Basically, he needs drugs and someone to get the baby. Right nikkos?" He smiled, hoping to make him feel a little better. "Tomias will be okay." he tried to reassure him, holding the other's hand.

Tomias definitely did not feel all right. It felt like the child was trying to rip its way out of his stomach and it had the poor man doubled over in pain. Tears streamed down his cheeks, his arms wrapped tightly around his legs and he was whimpering, unssure of what was happening.

Nikkos tried to fight to stay with Tomias. Why wasn't anyone listening to him? He wanted to be with his husband!! The brunette tried in vain to get up, but the contractions kept him in the bed, frustrated and angry and worried. The labor progressed quickly, and it was only an hour more before he was holding their son on his chest, and trying to convince Sebastian that he needed to go to Tomias.

Rushing around the room to get fluids into Tomias, Jupiter took a backseat to the ER doctor. It wasn't his hospital, but he wasn't leaving either. "Mias how long have you been in pain?" he asked, staying by the man's head to try and soothe him through the chaos.

Sebastian shook his head a few times. "Jupiter will let us know when you can see him." He stated, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking down at the baby with a smile. "What is his name?" He asked, figuring - hoping - the two had names picked out.

Tomias whimpered and slowly turned to look at the other man. "A... A few weeks." He admitted, groaning some more. "This is the worst." He whimpered some more, eyes closing as he tried not to vomit. "I... i've been sick a lot too. It's..." He groaned, not really being able to even complain.

"No, now!" Nikkos was impatient, and worried sick. He wasn't waiting anymore. The brunette pressed a kiss to the top of the baby's head, who was thankfully sleeping, and set him in the bassinet that was sitting next to his bed. He struggled to get up, but pushed himself and headed for the door to find his husband. He ignored shouts from nurses and doctors and orderlies, and shook off anyone who touched him as he shuffled (literally) back down to the emergency room and asked for his husband.

"Why didn't you call me, you nitwit!" Jupiter wanted to smack the man, but figured that wouldn't help the situation. He looked over at the attending doctor, asking what he thought and what needed to be done, though the questions were only half out when Nikkos (sort of) burst into the room and shuffled over to Tomias, taking the man's hand and kissing his forehead.

Sebastian gasped, wanting to run after him and make him stop. He groaned and turned to walk back to the baby. "Damit." he murmured and sat down, looking at the baby and biting his bottom lip as he stared at the baby.

Tomias shrugged. "I... IT wasn't that bad until today! I didn't have bad pains. I just thought it was... my skin stretching or something..." He looked over at Nikkos, brows furrowing as he saw him. He whimpered and turned to kiss the other's hand, nuzzling into him. "I don't know what's happening." he whispered, gripping his hand a little tighter as he stared up at the man. "And... And where's our baby?"

Nikkos bent down to nuzzled along Tomias' cheek, shushing him softly. He didn't know what else to say, because he didn't know what was going to happen, either. But as long as he was with Tomias, then they could handle anything. "With Sebastian... Sleeping," he whispered with a little kiss. "Healthy baby boy." After a few more minutes pressing kisses and whispers to his lover, Nikkos looked up. "What's going on? Why is he in so much pain? Why aren't you helping him?"

Tomias closed his eyes and gripped the other a little tighter. He leaned closer to the other man and buried his face into his neck. He bit his bottom lip. "I odn't know!" He called out and looked over at the other doctors, really wanting to know what the issue was and why they were not really doing anything. They did not even give him true pain killers yet! a little to take the edge off, but nothing to make him stop crying.

Shushing Tomias softly again, the brunette kissed his husband's lips. "Rest," he whispered, giving him another kiss before standing up and ripping into Jupiter and whoever else was in the room. "Answer me! He's in pain and you're all standing around talking like he's got a paper cut!" Nikkos felt helpless and worthless and he hated it. He wanted to help his lover, he wanted to take the pain away from him.

Tomias whimpered softly and closed his eyes, hand resting over his face to try and hide how pathetic he felt right now. He took in a few deep breaths and relaxed into the mattress a little bit more. He groaned, just wanting to stop the pain. wanting this nightmare to be over.

The doctor turned to Nikkos. "We are trying to find a way to save the baby. the way he has pain and what his stomach has been throwing out means that there is something wrong with the child. your husband's body is rejecting the child and there is a slim chance that the child will be all right if we remove it, but there is a higher risk of killing your husband in the mean time. THAT is what we are currently discussing. What exactly we should do. We can either try and save the child and potentially kill your husband, or save your husband and lose the child."

Nikkos' heart dropped into his stomach and he groaned. Save them both! Why wasn't that an option? The brunette turned away from the doctor, not wanting to look at him right at that moment, and turned to Tomias. Tears were beginning to stream down his cheeks now as he pressed kisses over his husband's face and hands. In his mind, the only choice was to save Tomias if both couldn't be saved. He loved the child, born or not, but he couldn't live without his husband. "You," he whispered. "I need you."

Tomias looked up at the other, reaching up and wrapping around his shoulders, hugging him tighter to his form.

The Doctor looked over at the two. "Sir. When we are working on him, we will see if there is a way to make sure he and the child will survive, as of right now, it goes not look good I am afraid." he sighed softly. "Put on your scrubs, Nikkos. We are moving to a new room and begin the surgery."

He stood up, stepping away from Tomias for only long enough to put the scrubs on and then he stepped back to take a hold of his love's hand. "Just...save him..." He felt horrible saying it, choosing Tomias over their child. But he hadn't been lying; he knew he couldn't live without the other.

Nikkos followed the team into the operating room, staying close to Tomias' head and holding his hand the entire time. He wasn't letting go for anything. The brunette whispered about their new son, and began suggesting names to distract his lover from the goings on... To distract himself, too. "Barnaby." He was suggesting the most horrible of names he could think of. "Conrad."

Tomias laughed, looking up at the other. "You... you name our son Conrad, and I'm revoking your custody." He smiled, gripping the man's hand as the tears continued to flow, not even knowing what he was doing or how things were going to work out.

The doctors worked away, taking their time and being sure they did not do anything to harm the man. It took a long time, but they managed to get the baby out safely, Tomias safe. The child was a little unstable, so the nurses and doctor rushed around to get everything set. Suck the goop from his nose. Everything that they needed before the nurses rushed the child off to the ICU. The doctor returned and finished up the surgery, being sure everything was all right before he sighed and looked over at the two.

"Tomias. You are going to have to stay here for a week. I will let you know on the status of hte child. We managed to get him out, but he... it seems his organs were not where they should be. The ICU doctors will check him out." He sighed. "Please, rest. Enjoy your son and I will tell you the moment I know any news." He sighed softly, not so sure what he could do other than leave.

"So I can name him Barnaby?" he asked, teasing softly through the tears that were still flowing. The brunette looked up when the doctor began to speak, nodding a little. He was so relieved to hear that Tomias was going to be okay, and worried sick for his second son who they didn't know if he was going to survive. Nikkos kissed Tomias, gripping his hands tightly and only letting go when they began to get him situated in a room. But the moment he was, Nikkos was in the bed with him, holding onto him across his chest so as to not disturb the incision area.

Tomias pressed into his lover, kissing his cheek softly then his neck and he laid down beside him. Eyes closed and arms looping around his hips. "I don't know what to do, Nikkos. The baby... He... because of me. I... I was awful!"

"Were not." Sebastian said simply while wheeling the bassinet into the room with their other son in it. "It happens some times, Tomias." he said simply, scooping up the baby boy and then setting him onto the man's chest with a smile. "Your first son needs a name. And his parents. Focus on him right now." He smiled gently before kissing both their heads and leaned away to begin making his way to find his husband.

Looking up when Sebastian spoke, Nikkos smiled his thanks and then turned back to Tomias. "No. No there was nothing you could do." Whether or not the doctors had said that, Nikkos believed it. Even if Tomias had gone to a doctor early on, there would have been nothing to be done. He kissed his lover's cheek and then their son's. "You don't like my name choices," he whispered, hugging both close. "You pick one."

He snorted and looked down at the baby. His eyes fluttering over the beautiful boy and he smiled a little more. "Nikkos Jr." He stated, looking up at his husband a moment later. He then leaned up to kiss his lips. "I like Nikkos Jr. It's cute and he is cute." He informed him, arms wrapping around his form tightly, nuzzling into his neck a little more.

He laughed. "If you don't think of something else, I'm letting your mother name him!" Nikkos stuck his tongue out at the other as he settled into Tomias' side, head on the man's chest. The brunette didn't think that he had to remind Tomias what Rune's and Relic's names were...

Tomias pouted. "Fine! But if the other one survives, I'm naming him Nikkos Jr." He mumbled, biting his bottom lip before he turned to look down at the other baby once more. "Reichan?" He offered and then looked up at the other, long lashes batting against his cheeks as he stared at him. He looped his arms around his baby, hugging him a little tighter to his form and he smiled "I do love him."

He laughed and smiled at the name. "I like it." Looking up when he began to fuss, Nikkos floated a bottle of formula to his free hand, and began to feed Reichan while Tomias held him. "Serene came back the other day," he offered. "He brought a shaman with him who is looking for work. What do you think of a trial run as a nanny?" he asked while his eyes were closing, his adrenaline finally depleting and the day's events catching up with him. "He worked as a teacher." Nikkos yawned and nuzzled into Tomias' chest.

Tomias smiled and nodded a few times, taking the bottle from his tired husband. He sighed softly, kissing the top of the boy's head gently. "I completely agree. I really do. We need it." he nodded then looked down at their boy once more, smiling a bit. "I will welcome as much help as possible." He informed him with a warm smile.

He smiled and nuzzled into his lover's chest, humming his agreement about needing help. Especially now that they were both so emotionally exhausted. "I'll call Rylee..." Nikkos yawned. "Mm.. And tell him to let Sven know when we'll be home to do a final interview." He smiled and drifted off into a light sleep, warm and safe next to his husband, yet still worried about their son.

Tomias nodded, nuzzling into the other and he closed his eyes. "I feel like I was hit by a bus." He whispered, turning and nuzzling into him some more before he heard the door opening.

Stepping inside, the doctor smiled warmly as he pushed the incubator into the room. "For now, you can only hold him through these." he pointed to the plastic gloves on the sides. "He is not stable enough for the germs. His immune system is down, but he seems very healthy.'

Nikkos woke up when there was a knock and the brunette hurried to move over to the other side of the bed. He looked down through the plexiglass, placing a hand on top of it while looking at their son. He was healthy... The tears formed before Nikkos could fully process the thoughts and he reached in through the gloves to run a finger over the baby's face and arms and hands, looking back at Tomias as he did so.

Tomias gasped. He straightened himself despite the pain and turned to the baby. His eyes welled with tears and he smiled wider. Reaching forward, he moved his own hand through the glove on the other side and smiled. "He's beautiful." he whispered, forefinger pushing through the short peach fuzz brown hair. "He should be Nikkos Jr..." He murmured and then looked up at his love. "So that he'll be strong and get through it."
