Welcome to Atlantis Academy! (Lia && Chokuro)

He leaned into the touches and nodded with the offer for help. The blond wasn't sure what he was feeling now, more than ever, but knew that part of it was embarrassment. Scorpius held his arms up to be helped back onto his feet. When he was standing, he took a minute to step away, enjoying the warm strength of Ezekiel holding him. The blond tilted his head up and brushed his lips over the other male's, whispering a 'thanks' as their lips parted while his cheeks were burning more brightly now.

Zeke looked down at the other. his eyes fluttering over his form and he remained silent for a little while. His heart fluttered and he was just not sure what to think about the kiss. He bit his bottom lip before he nodded. "You're welcome."He whispered and he brushed his lips along his form a brief moment as well. "Very welcome." He added and then looped an arm about him, pulling him tighter to his form - closer than normally would. He then began to assist him down the stairs.

Scorpius rested his head on Ezekiel's chest and allowed himself to be guided through the house without thinking. The other male made him feel safe, and warm, and he just wanted to bask in it for a little while. He reluctantly moved away when they finally entered the kitchen, giving a shy smile to Calder, who was bustling around to cook breakfast (it smelled like waffles and bacon). The blond sat down, sighing a little as he did. His legs were a little wobbly-walking around the room was different than walking from his room all the way to the kitchen.

Zeke made sure he was all right before snatching up a piece of bacon from his Papa and then another for Scorpius He set that in front of him then sat down in the chair beside his friend.

"Oh. Look who made it." Rune commented while walking into the room and sitting down, sniffing a few times and groaning. Mm. It smelled so delicious. He then turned to Scorpius, arching a brow as he did so. Leaning over, he smirked and looked up at him. "You know, he wants you too." He winked and then leaned back turning to calder. "Calder! We should do a date night tonight. Or run away to Avalon. mm... I like that option, yea? You owe me it.'

His cheeks flared red again and Scorpius ducked his head to try and hide it, whimpering softly. Maybe coming down to breakfast wasn't his best idea after all. The blond began to plot ways to escape back upstairs without being noticed.

Looking up, Calder smiled at his husband. "Stop torturing children that aren't ours. Poor thing looks like he's going to give himself another fever." He shook his head and handed two plates to Rune to hand to the boys. "We'll go on a date," he agreed, nodding. "Avalon will have to wait until all children are well and healthy." The blond handed another two plates to his lover and cleaned up a little bit before joining everyone at the table.

He pouted; "Damnit." He grumbled and then took the plates to set in front of the two. He stuck his tongue out at them and then plopped down with a little huff. He then turned back to look at his lover. "I wanna go nooow." He whined like the child he really was.

"Me too! Go now. We're fine" Zeke huffed, glaring at his parents. "You're interrupting my style and embarrassing Scorpi. He doesn't deserve it." He stated and huffed some more. "He's cute when he blushed though." He added and then turned to look at him. "If it makes you feel better, I like you too."

Scorpius couldn't stop blushing, and so instead he excused himself from the table and went in search for the bathroom. He hid out in there for a few minutes, trying hard to turn his cheeks back to their normal color with a bit of cool water.

Shaking his head, Calder elbowed Rune in the ribs. "Be nice. Or else you can go on a date by yourself." He looked over and stuck his tongue out at his lover and turned to eat his breakfast. "Figure out where I'm taking you on our date. And then we can go." It didn't really matter to him where they went, so long as it ended up in their bedroom...or Avalon...or some place at least semi-secluded where they could fool around.

Rune looked ove rat his love, smirking. "Then I'll just please myself on our bed and you can sit back and watch."

"EW!" Zeke stood, making his way out and cursing underr his breath before he walked to the bathroom. He lightly knocked on the door. "Scorpius. I"m going upstairs. Are you ready to or think you can make it on your own?" He asked, just not wanting to be in the same room as his disturbing parents.

Calder chuckled at their son as he left the room, figuring it wouldn't be the last time he and Rune had a reaction like that.

Looking up when the door was knocked on, Scorpius shrugged. He wasn't as flushed, which was good, and so he opened the door and nodded. "Ready." He could probably make it on his own if he took it slow, but why give up an opportunity to be pulled close to Ezekiel? Or better yet... "I... I'm feeling a little weak..." While the reaction could be a suggestion for him to lie down on the sofa, maybe he'd get lucky and the bunny eared boy would carry him.

Considering he did not want to be near his parents, the boy got his wish. "Then I'll just carry you." He offered, smiling lightly. Zeke took a hold of the other and scooped him into his arms like a bride. He gripped him while he began to walk up the stairs, being sure he held him tightly enough to not feel like he would drop him. He sighed softly. "I really am sorry about my family. They're blunt and vulgar and do not know when to just ... not talk." He sighed heavily and pressed his head against the blond's.

Scorpius curled into Ezekiel's arms, feeling safe. "It's okay," he offered with a small shrug. He didn't want to move too much and throw off the other boy's balance. "Some families are just like that...so I hear." He really couldn't remember his own family. There were bits of broken memories that popped up here and there, but mostly he remembered learning the hard way how to survive on the streets. "I'll be better enough to go back in a few days and I can handle anything for a few days." The blond offered a little smile to the other.

Zeke arched a brow, looking down at him as he froze at the top of the stairs. "Go back? Go back ... to um.. your room on your own, right?" He asked, keeping his eyes to the other. "You... You're staying here, right?" He did not want him to go back. HE wanted to keep him forever.

He tried to shift uncomfortably, avoiding Ezekiel's eyes. "This... I'm really grateful for everything, Ezekiel. I really like your family...mostly." He chuckled a little to show he was only joking...sort of. "But...I can't stay. I can't stay and take from your family all the time like this. I..." He shrugged, unsure of how to put it. "The streets...they're hard. And if someone I know saw me coming back here...your house, your family could all be in danger." Scorpius wiggled out of the male's arms, uncomfortable now, and moved towards the room that had been dubbed 'his'.

"Ah ah!" He took the other's hand, shaking his head a few times. "You ... no. You need to know that this isn't a threat to us." He pulled the other back against his side. "Mama!" He cried out, taking the other and scooping him back up as he walked to the kitchen. He gripped the other against his side, refusing to let the blond leave as he looked at his mother sitting at the table. "I wanted to tell you earlier. There was a group of boys teasing Kiah about his ears and how small he is. They--" He was cut off by hte sound of wood cracking.

Rune instantly stood, his hands grippnig the table that was now in two separate pieces, the strong wood broken on the floor. "WHAT?!" HE hissed, turning and glaring at his son. "wherE? Who? Who the fuck is touching my baby! KIAH! KIAH!" He turned and began to walk off, only being stopped by Zeke.

"Kidding. I was proving a point." He then turned to Scorpius. "See that table? He's done that to human beings... and non ones. Trust me, we're not in danger. Though, you shouldn't feel threatened by him... just don't touch Kiah."

His eyes were wide and Scorpius tried hard to wiggle away. He'd seen violence like that one too many times, and it scared him. "I... no. I'm sorry I just..." The blond shook his head and twisted away, running (literally) up the stairs. Scorpius was determined to not collapse until he'd made it to his bed, and it was only that sheer willpower that got him there. He wished that he could lock the door but knew that'd be rude, since it wasn't his house.

Standing, Calder moved over and smacked Ezekiel's rear end sharply. "Find another way to prove your point." The blond went to his husband to try to calm him down, promising to leave for Avalon that night.

Zeke squeaked, watching the other rush off before looking at his Papa. "But ... but we're safe!" He whined and then grumbled and rushed up the stairs. He knocked on the door before he stepped out and into the room. "Scorpius! It wasn't meant to terrify you. I'm sorry! But I just ... You need to know that we're protected here. Mama's protective! And ... and he does not let anyone hurt those he cares for. ANd he doesn't hurt the ones he loves or who don't deserve it." He walked over and knelt beside the bed. "I'm sorry."

He shook his head and curled up on the bed a bit. "Just... I can't, okay?" Scorpius' voice was a soft whisper, and his face was buried beneath the covers and pillows. "I'll catch slack for being away for so long as it is... I'll be a target. Why can't you understand that I don't want you to be one, too?" It wasn't just the house, or what might happen to someone who was in the house. But the kids who walked to and from school, or went on dates, or out with their siblings...they'd all be walking targets if he stayed here.

Ezekiel leaned closer to the other, pulling the covers aside to look at the man's face. "And why can't you understand that I don't want to never see you again? That I ... I can't think of not waking up and sharing breakfast with you. If you go back... I won't have that. I don't want to lose our friendship and our relationship. I just ... I like you too much." He whispered and then pulled aside some more blond locks from his face.

He shook his head again, unwilling to change his mind. It was just too dangerous, and he said so. "I... I can't do it, knowing what might or could happen." Scorpius' voice was soft now, and he pulled the blankets up around his head once more, unable to keep eye contact. He felt bad, because part of him (a big part) wanted to stay and be a part of this wonderful and loving family. But the urge to protect them was too great and wouldn't allow him to say yes. "Please don't press it, Ezekiel... Please..."

Zeke groaned and he shook his head a little bit. "I can't!" He protested, moving and wrapping his arms around his form. He then pulled him against his chest, nuzzling into his head a few times. "I ... I don't want to lose you." He whispered and tugged the blankets aside to look down at him. He trailed his fingers through his hair and whimpered a few more times. "You... You can get hurt on teh streets. Here... you'll be safe here. We'll be safe..."

He wasn't used to having someone care about him so much, and Scorpius was feeling smothered now. The blond pulled away from Ezekiel and off of the bed, trying to get some space; some air. "I'll be fine. I just... It's what I know, okay? I can't stay here and the more you ask the more you're going to be disappointed and I'm really sorry but it's just how it is, Ezekiel." Shaking his head, Scorpius retreated to the bathroom, locking the door behind him and leaning against the door once he had. He wasn't really sure how to react, and was still feeling overwhelmed even after having stepped away from the situation. Maybe he would be fine if he left later tonight instead of after another few days of recovery...

Zeke stood and walked over to the door. He knocked on the door to get the other's attention. "Scorpius ... Just ... I'll drop it if you can promise me one thing." He said, his head resting against the door, ears flat against his head and his hand rested upon the wood of the door. "Don't get sick again. Come to us if you need it. Please ... Please don't get sick again. I can't lose you... You can leave but ... come back. Eat with us once in a while... We don't even have to meet here. It can be at a diner or something but ... but do not completely leave me, please... don't just ... disappear and ... and especially do not get sick again."

Shaking his head even though the other male couldn't see it, the blond was trying hard to not completely break down. Scorpius didn't know how to respond to those requests, mainly because one wasn't within his power to control. But to promise to come back, when coming back was what scared him in the first place? He was confused. He didn't make connections like this, because there was no reason to on the streets. It was fend for yourself and by any means necessary. Friendships only got in the way of that. He didn't understand what Ezekiel was feeling, because he had never felt it. Or maybe he was and that was what the knot in the pit of his stomach was...

"I... Can we talk about it tomorrow? Please?" He was too emotional and couldn't process his thoughts, much less the emotions.

Ezekiel nodded, tapping on the door a few times. "Tomorrow. If you're not here, I'm finding you. Remember that." He whispered and then knocked the door and turned to make his way out of the room. He gently closed the door behind him and he whimpered softly. He walked through the halls and found one of his borthers, collapsing beside him with a pathetic whimper. "Boys are stupid." He mumbled, grumbling a little more.

The next morning, he made his way back to Scorpius' room. Staring at the door for a moment, he knocked on the door, hoping that he was still there.

It had been a long night. Scorpius waited for a long time after he heard the bedroom door click closed before emerging into the bedroom once more and sighing. He wanted to leave, because leaving was always easier. When he was on the streets, he had to focus his mind somewhere else to survive and so he couldn't think about what else was going on in his head and life and heart. But also he knew that he was still, technically, sick and that leaving to go into the cold weather could make him even more sick... And then there was the threat that Ezekiel would come after him, which would put him at risk... In the end, the blond had tired himself out from thinking about it so much and had collapsed onto the bed, asleep before he even fully came to rest on the mattress. He didn't even hear the knock at his door in the morning.
