He smiled and watched her cook, breathing in the aromas before taking a large bite out his steak. Eating some of his chips he glanced across the table at her.

Katie smiled across the table when he spoke then took several bites of her own food.


"Thanks. I'm glad to see you got your appetite back."

Roscoe finished his food a few minutes, standing up and walking across to the sink. Washing and leaving his plate to dry he refilled his glass taking it with him as he went to his study. Setting the glass down he took out his sketchbook and set about transferring it to a larger canvas.

Katie finished soon after him then cleaned up and went to the bedroom to watch tv. She held Coko on her lap as she flipped through the channels.
