The energy which was whirling around Silas ebbed as the shards of ice passed through it without harm before flaring back to life just as radiantly as it had before. He heard a grunt of agony as he heard one ring true into the druid, and he smiled a bit knowing that she did not get to leave unscathed. He looked about to the now impaled elves, hearing some still alive and moaning with agony, though they were not long for this world.
As Lilith came back down towards the ground and soon he was upon her, floating to the ground himself as her cool touch caressed his cheek. She'd feel the warmth and hum of the energy coursing through him and his face pulled towards more of a smile as he leaned his head towards her hand. The galactic hues stared back into hers and she felt as though she were staring into eternity for that moment where their eyes were locked. He felt peace when he looked back into hers, though it wasn't to last as he was brought back to the reality of their situation.
"We must escape this place," he said to her in a concerned tone with his powerful voice, though he had softened it enough to where it wouldn't be a thunderous boom directly in her face. As he thought of where they should go, all he could think about in that moment was the old vacation home his parents would take him and his siblings to a few times a year. A beautiful cottage, nestled in a forest clearing. Surrounded by flowers and built of fine stone and wood. It was cozy, able to fit a family of 6 like his, though snugly. The stone chimney which rose from the center of the cottage billowing wisps of smoke as a fire burned in the living room. Couches against the wall, and an opening leading towards a kitchen and dining area against one wall and stairs leading up to the bedrooms and bathroom on the other wall.
His perfect vision was interrupted by a metallic but feminine voice ringing out into the air around them. "If you keep that image, I can take us there," the voice said in a matter-of-fact way, seeming as though it was coming from the direction of the orb. Silas looked startled at first as he looked to the orb as it began to float between him and Lilith, hovering in the air at their sides. "Just keep focusing..." the orb spoke once again, a little more clearly this time. Silas gave a firm nod before closing his eyes slowly and he began to think hard upon the cottage he so longed for, the stone path leading to the doorway, the flower garden which grew to each side of the path.
The orb flashed brilliantly and just as before, the scenery around them became drowned out by the brilliant light it released. Silas didn't find a need to shield his eyes, however, the galactic hues seeming to just absorb the light easily as he felt the familiar sensation of space bending around them. Before long, the chambers had gone, along with all the worries within it and they were standing on a stone path, flanked on either side by beautiful wildflowers and he looked on to see the oak front door and the finely crafted windows of the front of the pale stone colored cottage. A wave of relief poured over him and his grip on his implements relaxed and the energy that was shimmering around him began to fade slowly, dispersing into the atmosphere around them with tendrils of energy lashing out into the air.
Once the excess had left him, his green hues looked deeply at Lilith before falling completely shut and the inventor went totally limp and began crumbling towards the ground.
