The Lunar Cry recorded a mere 100 years ago showed electromagnetic ratings that rocketed off of the charts. Now looking at the map we have found two crucial locations where the energy collects en mas- producing an immeasurable amount of energy. We sent a crew of archeologists, engineers and technicians to check each location. In one location, we found nothing. Following to the second area we lost contact with our crew. Upon investigation we have determined the entire crew has disappeared completely. The cause of the massive disappearance is unknown to us.

Galbadian Military Report

Shortly after the Sorceress events 100 years ago we have determined that removal of all Guardian Forces is mandatory and essential to the lives of our people. We signed an agreement document with Balamb Garden and Trabia Garden. In the process of removal we stored each Guardian Force for a cool down time. During this time we gave them to inebriated hosts so they would not hunger for memories and become overwhelmed by their need to feed once the obtained an eligible host. When the time comes, we give a Guardian Force to our highest ranking officers, or those who may need one. Galbadia does not have all of the Guardian Forces, though we tried to get them all. Balamb insisted having all of the Guardian Forces in one location would be dangerous. Should a reckless soldier get their hands on all of them, well, the problems are considered numerous.

Disheveled Notebook: Found Halfway between Tears Point and the Sorceress Memorial

We found something- something huge. It's giving everyone the creeps, especially those more prominent in the area of magic. I don't know what it is... but taking it back to Esthar is a bad idea. I can feel it.

We've been here for a few days and the food has gone bad. The only thing that could've caused it to happen so fast would be a Malboro- but none have been in the area. In fact, we haven't seen any monsters at all for days!

I can't let anyone touch it. Every one wants it for themselves- but I must have it!

The rest of the Journal is illegible or torn to pieces. It looks like blood is splattered onto all of the pages.

Balamb Garden Archives: Trabia

The document is dated back almost 90 years.

Without enough funding to pick themselves up, we retrieved the Trabia Garden from Fishermans Horizon. We're not completely sure how they got there but we assume a merchant came to their Garden. Many of the students stayed behind to help a small group of people.

Now, Balamb and Trabia share the same Garden: Velidant. We've grown in size and in number. We do offer different classes depending on which "Path" each student wishes to take. In the end, Balamb and Trabia are one and the same. Our ideals sometimes clash but it would never be enough to drive a wedge between out people.

Nations

Esthar: Their technology has advanced greatly. Their military has grown considerably but their melee forces still cannot compete with Galbadia. Technology and Airships are their strongest points when it comes to warfare. If in a war, Esthar would still surely win. Esthar still has it's barrier up. Getting into or out of Esthar is near impossible.

Galbadia: Galbadia has taken the largest cut of the GFs when they were confiscated from out heroes. Their military forces have advanced dramatically and they could be considered, still to this day, the most powerful nation when it comes to war and politics. Galbadia has also reached into research on "Mutant Humans"- humans that have been mutated with monster DNA. They have begun to mutate humans artificially. These creations are not nearly as strong as though bred in the wild.

Velidant Union: Shortly after Ultimecia's downfall, Balamb and Trabia agreed to officially and politically join forces. They are still separated by water and land but they share the same values and goals. Their schooling systems have integrated into one. Students may choose whether to travel on the Balamb Garden or remain stationary in the snowy lands of Trabia.

Acarien Covenant: This is a Religious Faction located in Fisherman's Horizon. Their base is supposed to be a "secret". Many high ranking individuals around the world are a part of the Cult, which helps them maneuver around the world when they do not want to be seen. Their current goal is to worship their newly obtained idol and to bestow upon it as many powerful gifts as possible. GFs are their preferable sacrifices.

Mutant Humans

"Mutant Humans"- humans that have been mutated with monster DNA. Humans that are mutated in the wild are the strongest. Humans that are mutated in captivity or by artificial means are much weaker- but their strengths still surpass that of a normal human being.

Natural Mutant Humans cannot use magic or GFs.

Artificially Mutated Humans can use basic forms of magic, but they still cannot use GFs.

[G]uardian [F]orces

GFs have been outlawed and separated. Each Nation has a few locked away- although a few of our heroes managed to keep one or two from being taken.

She entered a Galbadian military school and blew her way up through the ranks. Now, she is a High Ranking General of Galbadia. She prefers to train her personal units herself, being very picky about what they do or do not know. Eve originally had Ifrit junctioned but, against her will, had him removed. She's been Eves' best friend since the two of them can remember and have been lucky to stay together in their job. Evan is the person the group sends in the take care of something they can't handle. Limit Break:
Personality: Ishu is more of the quiet/shy type. She doesn't go out of her way to talk to people- in fact she tries to avoid them. She has the highest book scores in the entire Velidant Garden, but her field performance is very low. This has kept her from obtaining her "SeeD" Ranking for some time.
Background: Ishu was raised in Velidant by some of the staff. She was literally left on their front door as an infant. The Headmaster as well as some of the teachers have tried figuring out where it is she came from, but they have found nothing. None the less, they all raised her as their own. She came to them with white hair and no one can give any explanation- except the inaudible fear they all shared. They made sure to raise her to be fair, kind and gentle. They were a bit surprised when it came to her naturally. She is very intelligent but naive with relationships and fighting. The Headmaster considers her to be and addresses her as his own daughter.

She'll throw a fit if she doesn't get her way and walks all over people without even noticing. She's very immature, but a romantic at heart. Mei-zha has a habit of having her heads up in the clouds during the most important times.
Background: Mei-zha grew up in the wild, just like a certain someone she knows. Feeling as though she'd been left behind to fend for herself, she now searches for this person to teach them a lesson. Meanwhile, she travels around doing odd jobs - but only for the best of money. She does have a history of taking the money she's been offered with and fleeing with it. Ironically enough, she has a good amount of enemies because of this.

Name Heishiro Kenseth
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Nation: Galbadia
Weapon: Mastercraft Broadsword (Self-made) at his left hip, 20 flash bombs contained in a pouch located at his right.
Magic: None
GF(s): None
Appearance: Heishiro stands about 6' 2" and has an athletic build of about 220 to 230 pounds of toned muscle. The armor he wears is something that was given to him by a fellow mercenary after a raid on an armory of about four years ago. Since then, he keeps it as a memento of times long forgotten in the annals of his history. When not in that armor, he is normally seen wearing a sleeveless white shirt, black pants and black leather boots. Short brown hair juts out mostly in front, sometimes aggravating him whenever it got in his face and brown eyes.
Position: 1st Class Specialist

Limit Break(s)
Heaven's Inferno: Deals Holy and Firaga damage to all enemies in a wide sideways arc. Double damage against undead targets and those weak against fire.
Hero's Madness: Repeated slashing inflicts massive damage to a single opponent. 25% chance of landing a lethal blow. Becomes Berserk afterward.

Personality: Heishiro has an aura of arrogance, but not as pronounced as some would have suspected. Whenever he does something, he follows it to the very end and spares no quarter to those who get in his way. If the unfortunate does in fact do so, that individual might as well have grabbed a noose and start looping it around his or her neck, because he will just plow right through them all with seemingly reckless abandon and never look back. In his opinion, it was either (as he said it) his way or get out of his way. Most other times, Heishiro can be seen playing around on a mah-jhong board by himself and rarely ever speaks up unless if he was spoken to. Yet he would get so lost within the game, he had a tendancy to tune the person talking to him completely out and never say a word. A few other times, Heishiro can be socialable. However, he doesn't really flaunt himself out so much like some people do.

Background: Born into a life of poverty, Heishiro's family was pretty much one of the many that was considered the low man on the totem pole. His father worked three jobs, his mother had three children (he was the youngest of three brothers) and there wasn't much that they could do about their situation as they all lived from day to day from paycheck to paycheck. A few times, they snaked in under the wire and sometimes they went without for a while.

The last time they went without, the entire family was casted out of the house they lived in for about 12 years of Heishiro's life. In turn, the mother and father agrued about who should be where and where should they live until the time was right for them all to reunite under the same roof. During this time, Heishiro did the mature thing while the parents squabbled and offered himself up to be placed in an orphanage while the family decided their next move. Several years had passed since then and during this time, Heishiro enlisted in the military at the age of 17, serving his country as one of the top ranked knights. During one night, on a routine city patrol, word had spread to Heishiro that something happened in his old hometown. After being granted permission to leave and hurrying back as fast as he could go, he would soon come to a startling sight.

The house he had come to know all of his life was burnt to the ground and his family was brutally murdered in cold blood. When it was discovered that deliberate arson was to blame, Heishiro was absolutely livid at the fact that there was nothing being done to find the arsonist/murderer. This would eventually cause Heishiro to leave the knighthood and eventually took up the profession of a mercenary. He still wonders as to who might have torched his old house and killed his mother and father, but because of his current employment, there was almost no time to stop and think.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Alphonse Holystone
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Nation: Velidant Union
Weapon: Mastercraft Claymore (Self-made) at his back
Magic: None
GF(s): None
Appearance: Alphonse stands 6' 3", weighs 225 pounds in which all of it is in toned muscle. Crimson hair falls down to his shoulders and when a good wind is whipping around him, you can visibly see what appears to be hunter green colored eyes looking at you with a sense of purpose behind them. His clothes might hint towards him being a mercenary for hire, but he really doesn't believe in working for money when he really is a traveling swordsman, going from here to there, city to city and from country to country, leaving them partly worn in a few places.
Position: SeeD

Limit Break(s)
Southern Cross: Lunges forward at a single target, unloading massive physical and Blizzara damage in a series of rapid fire slashes. Double damage against those weak versus ice.
Overdrive Slash: Five extremely quick and powerful slashes with a high chance of landing a critical on the fifth and final blow on a single target.

Personality: To say that Alphonse is a bit of a comedian would be saying a bit much, as he usually prefers to joke around only when he feels as though it's the right time to crack a nugget that was guaranteed a big laugh out of people. For when it's time for a fight, expect Alphonse to not hold anything back and waylay into an opponent with incredible speed and accuracy. Despite this enthusiasm, he often displays a reluctance towards fighting those that he feels as though isn't really worth his time or aren't worth the effort and back away slowly from the potential threat. It might come across as arrogant, but the proof is in the pudding when he easily eliminates the target with seemingly one fell swoop.

Background: Alphonse, as mentioned, is a traveling swordsman on loan from SeeD that has been seen traveling from place to place in the hopes to test not only his own strength against tough opponents but also the strength of any known contender that has stepped foot into the arena and sought to topple him. Many times over, Alphonse has only fought harder and faster, showcasing an aptitude to fight extremely well under pressure. As a result of this, many people have sought him out for possibly enlisting him into their military or mercenary group, but every single time, Alphonse has only refused their offers unless if there was a condition that they would meet. If the purpose wasn't for the right causes or went against his moral grain, then he retained the right to refuse based on those two aspects. It might have made him be a stickler or possibly even a goody-two-shoes, but Alphonse had his reasons.

Ishu was sitting in a comfortable chair with a nice table infront of her. She was looking out through the window that spanned most of the wall in front of her. She was sitting in the area of the garden that was just below the pilots floor. Not many people could reach this area seeing at it was one of the Headmaster's lounging areas. Also, a good portion of the staff came here for meetings or small get-togethers. Her own room had a balcony with a similar window but she did not want to stay cooped up in her room all of the time. She had been there all week and being here gave her more chances at having another warm body approach her or talk to her. It was nice.

___

Eve was putting out the fire that had been set up the night before. She really wasn't one for stopping when on the move but they had traveled nonstop for three days and two nights before they stopped. They had slept on the ground, seeing as they had pretty much nothing but the clothes on their backs. She stood up and destroys the remains of the fire, intent on keeping their tracks invisible. "Evan." Her voice pierced out into the trees with a dominant tone.

A yawning growl purred out from the trees as a branch shifted. Another woman pushed the branch down until her shadowed figure became noticeable to the woman below, "Yeah?"

"It is time to go." Eve put her hands on her hips and twitched her head toward the direction of a nearby town. "Winhill is nearby. We can stop for some supplies before we get to Timber." They had gone through the desert for enough time for Galbadia to already pass Winhill, so they should have some luck when they got to the town.

After a moment, a knock came from her door before someone walked inside. That someone was Alphonse, his boots making an even cadence as he stepped into Ishu's office before stopping in front of her desk with his hands in his pockets. "Hopefully I'm not intruding," Alphonse said as he came inside before setting himself down in a chair in front of her desk with a little sigh before propping an elbow up onto the armrest and placed his hand under his cheek. "I figured I was in town and all that jargon, so I figured I'd stop in if you needed anything. Besides, all the other good jobs were taken." He added jokingly with a little smile on his face.

-----------------------------------

At a bar in Winhill, Heishiro was sitting in a booth by himself with a look of conviction on his face, his eyes closed for the moment before looking up at a waitress that had come by and asked him if he needed anything in particular to which Heishiro would only wave off, saying he didn't need anything at the moment. What he was really here for was that two others from Galbadia was supposed to arrive here in a short while and that there was something of a great importance for his appearance. He wasn't sure as to what as of yet, but perhaps whoever those two were would be able to fill him in on what was going on at the moment.

She watched him as he walked around her desk and stood in front of the window, a small shadow casting over him from the bright sun outside. Her father had hired this man to be her bodyguard just weeks ago. She had not talked to him much as she was usually studying or had focused some of her time being completely alone in her room. Her light blue eyes trailed over to him and she smiled. She looked out the window again, her eyes focusing on the clouds as the garden hovered quietly over the ocean, ever moving.

I was going to try to play Triple Triad. Do you play?

The girls voice had a tendency to echo in the head of the person she was speaking to, her lips never moving except when she ate or drank. It took some getting used to for those who were exposed to her presence.

___

Eve ventured forth, the woods thinning as they neared Winhill. Evan, her companion, kept to the trees until they were completely gone. The creature soon jumped down and crawled alongside the now Ex General. "How long are we staying in Winhill?" Evan had not gone out to hunt the night before. Blood and death was too easily traced in the woods. Evan had torn apart multiple carcasses in the desert since the sand would swallow the bones within moments.

"I don't know. We can't stay there for long either way." She looked at the woman growling as she crawled on all fours, "You should have eaten more."

"You know the desert- the monsters are either small in large groups or a feast for an army."

Eve shrugged, "I will see what they have for sale when we get there."

Evan grumbled and eyed the mountains that that curved around the area that Winhill resided in, pondering about the possibility of venturing up and finding more food.

"Go ahead, you are too... colorful for such a small town."

Evan snapped her jaws with delight and sped off to the side, lunging up the side of the mountain with great ease and finesse.

Eve didn't bother worrying about her comrade and soon entered the area of Winhill, walking through the ruins of an old mansion that had been completely leveled. She walked over the bridge and through the fields until she reached the new center of the town. She put her hands on her hips as she drank in the sight of the town. There were no Galbadian soldiers at the moment, but she was sure that would change after lunch time. She walked over to the bar to get a drink and some information.

At first, Alphonse was a little disturbed by the fact that she had used a method to speak into his head so directly as indicated by him turning his crimson maned head around from side to side a little bit before he then turned his attention back over to Ishu with the same eyebrow raised, deciding not to think anymore about it with a shrug of his shoulders. "Triple Triad?" He asked. "I don't think I've played in a long while. Besides, with how SeeD has been keeping me busy these past few weeks, I haven't had much time in taking up a hobby." He added with a smile on his face before he also stood up from his seat then walked over to her with his hands in his pockets now. "I don't think it'll hurt much to take the game up again." He concluded with a chuckle.

-----------------------------------

By now, Heishiro had seen movement in the bar, his attention drawn to a woman that had now arrived here and went directly up to the counter. Judging from her appearance, she looked to be affiliated with the Galbadian military of some specific branch. He wasn't sure what, but he figured that he would know soon enough. With that in mind, he stood up from the booth a short while later and walked over to the female at the bar and took a spot right next to her, looking straight ahead for a moment before turning his head slightly to the side and then spoke.

"I take it you're from Galbadia?" Heishiro asked her directly. "I was told to wait here for someone to show up." He added once more as he then turned his head to look at her directly.

She smiled as he decided it wouldn't hurt to play.

Wonderful! I have a lot of cards. You can play with mine, if you like.

Her father, the Headmaster, gave her cards a long time ago to keep her busy. She loved playing Triple Triad when she could find someone else to play with her. She put a hand in one of her pockets and took out a case filled with cards. Ishu opened the case and set it down on the table.

You can pick your cards first, if you would like.

___

Eve ordered a drink first and, still standing at the bar, found herself approached by a man. Surprised by the fact that he did not flirt with her, she took a defensive expression while staring ahead of them. "Who told you that someone from Galbadia would be showing up at this bar?" She had not come to a town since escaping from the Galbadian military base, so she was still in part of her uniform. She would need to find different clothes while she was here.

"Alright then," Alphonse answered with a smile on his face as he then looked at the cards on the table then reached his hand out to it as he began to choose his hand then placed it face down on his side before looking up at Ishu a moment later. "You got a coin so we can decide who goes first?" He asked.

-----------------------------------

"Look," Heishiro answered. "All I know is that I was told someone from Galbadia was coming here and that I was to assist them however possible with whatever objective they had in progress." He added as he then looked straight ahead after a moment, his voice low and his face strained in slight annoyance. "So are you from Galbadia or no?" He asked again, his tone showcasing a sense of urgency.

She picked out her cards after him and lined them up face down on the side. She found a coin in one of her pockets and flipped it.

Oh, it looks like you get to go first.

The girl smiled over at him and set the coin off to the side.

___

The man claimed to be a companion of sorts. She sipped her beverage and nodded, "Yes." She looked over at him and lifted her chin in his direction, "Who sent you?" She knew that even if he wasn't really a comrade, she could crush him. But, that would cause a scene and that was the last thing she needed right now.

"Heh." Alphonse answered with a smile on his face before picking up his hand and looking it over with a contemplative expression on his face, pondering what his first move would be. Then again, some of these cards also looked to be fairly rare, judging by what he was looking at. After a moment, Alphonse made his first move, placing his first card down on the center left side of the board.

"You're up." Alphonse said.

-----------------------------------

Once more, Heishiro tensed before his hands balled together into fists before looking around a bit then turned his attention towards her once more. "President Deling handed me the order to come here." He answered in a hushed tone of voice despite he was slightly getting mroe aggravated with her.

Ishu looked over her cards and placed one in the lower right hand corner as her first move.

Can you tell me a story? Of your travels, I mean. She knew he had done some traveling and she was curious about his experiences.

___

President Deling? Well, he didn't exactly have any control over the military. "Really?" She finished off her drink and set the glass down, "Now why would he send someone out for me?" She had done personal jobs for the President on the side and she was his best source for, well, anything, but this was almost too good to be true. Plus, the President was involved in Politics. He could use her as a scapegoat of some kind.

"My travels?" Alphonse answered as he then looked at the card she put down as her first move with an arched brow. "Well, I've been from place to place. Made one of my stops over at Eshtar for a little while on a job. Nice place it is." He said as he then placed the next card down beside her own after a little bit of thought.

-----------------------------------

"I didn't ask questions, I just follow orders. If it came from the President, then I have to follow it to the letter." Heishiro answered with a shake of his head before a frown became noticeable on his face. "Now listen, I'm here to help out whoever it is that needs assistance, so what is it that you need help with?" He added, his tone getting even more aggravated with each passing second.

Ishu set down a card in the middle of the board, flipping over both of the cards he set down.

What was it like? In Esthar. I have heard it is very beautiful in the city.

___

Eve smiled over at him. Well, if he wanted to be a grunt, then she would treat him like a grunt. "Alright then," She took some paper from behind the bar and found a pen. She scribbled down a description and handed him the paper, "We will go to Timber and you will go inside and get those items. After that, we will go to Deling. I will give you more instructions when we near the city. We will leave here in fifteen minutes."

Alphonse grimaced a bit when he saw that two of his cards were taken by one of hers, frowning thoughtfully as he lifted a hand up to his chin and itched it thoughtfully. As a response, he took another one of his own and set it down above the card on the bottom right with a smile on his face when he flipped the card on the bottom row and the one adjacent from it.

"It is. Especially when you get into the city." Alphonse answered with a nod of his head as he waited for her next move.

-----------------------------------

With what he received, Heishiro took the paper as directed with a slow nod of his head before getting out of his seat and looked at the list of provisions before looking over to her once more. "I've been ready since you got here, but if this is all you need, then I can go to the store here and get a few things here." He said.

It is very hard to get into Esthar. What was your mission?

She chewed on her lip as he flipped two her her cards. She put one on top of his far right card and flipped the one under it.

___

(I totally forgot to mention that there are clothes on the list -facepalm- I deleted that bit when I was editing my post, lol)

"Well, Winhill actually doesn't have a decent selection of clothing. Not in the quality I need, anyway." She leaned away from the counter, "Feel free to get everything else on the list." They needed some potions, a few phoenix downs, a traveling backpack and a few canteens for water."

"Nah, it was an escort job." Alphonse answered with a nod of his head as he looked at the board currently, his hand up under his chin and itching it thoughtfully. "Apparently, someone needed my help to get from Esthar to the Deep Sea Research Center." He added as he continued to think about his move. After a little more thought, Alphonse would then set his next card down on the far left corner of the board, retaking the previously flipped card he lost earlier in the game.

-----------------------------------

Nodding in reply, Heishiro was about to leave the bar before he realized something. Stopping in place for a moment, he then turned back over to the woman and extended a hand out to her with the same strained look on his face despite it was a little more relaxed now. "By the way, Name's Heishiro." He spoke.

She had only one card left to play and she had to make it count.

Oh? They must have been very important.

She put down her last card over the far left on the top, with just one point over his card, flipping it.

___

Eve was about to talk to the bartender when the young man came back and offered his name. She looked at his hand and nodded, "Eve." She looked at him for a few seconds and turned back to the bartender to start her conversation.

With only one card left in his hand, Alphonse had to decide his move very carefully, and this was indicated by him lifting a hand up to his chin once more, pondering about where to place it when he saw that there was an open spot that he hadn't seen before and grinned a bit before he set it down in the upper right corner, taking her two cards by two points on each corner before clapping his hands together and raised them upward in victory.

"Ha!" He exclaimed with a big smile on his face before looking at her once more. "Oh, the client? He asked. "Yeah, it was a researcher that needed to get over there without getting jumped on by any monsters on the way there." Alphonse spoke.

-----------------------------------

A frown was Heishiro's reaction before he then turned away, seeing that his simple handshake wasn't taken very well. Whatever. He thought before shaking his head on his way out of the bar. Already, he knew this wasn't going to go very well. Still, if this was all she needed, then so be it.

(I thought he already took that spot XD heehee)

Good job! She smiled over at him and collected the cards carefully before putting them back in the deck. What part of Esthar did your journey with the researcher start?

___

Eve watched the boy leave before turning to the bartender. The two conversed for a few minutes before she left. She walked around until she found a store that sold homemade foods. She stocked up on sandwiches and some fruit. She even bought a few bottles of water. When she finished gathering the food supplies, she went back into the bar and found a seat near the door. Eve didn't want to lug around all of this food, especially in the open, so sitting near the front would save time for packing the bag Heishiro was supposed to get for her.

(I said the center left in the beginning. XD)

"Hmm." Alphonse answered with a little bit of thought before crossing his arms in front of his chest and looked upward with a thoughtful look on his face. "I dunno, really. All I knew was that after I left Esthar, I took the guy over to his requested destination like it was listed in the outline, fought off a few monsters along the way and then after it was all over, I just took the reward money and then came back here." He added before looking at her with a shrug.

-----------------------------------

Once he was out of the bar, Heishiro made his way over to the general store for a little while and then began to head inside. Once inside there, he walked over to the man behind the counter there and conversed with him for a little bit before looking at the list once more and then requested the items that were listed here: A few potions, a few phoenix downs, a traveler's bag and a few canteens. After acquiring the provisions, he placed them into the bag before heading back out a little while later after paying for it all.

(Oh! -facepalm- lol ^^)

Oh. She put the cards in the case and looked out the window, seeing the clouds barely moving. The garden had stopped. Do you miss it? Traveling, I mean. Freely.

___

Once Heishiro finally made his way back to the bar, Eve stood up and took the bag from him, "We will head out now." She tore off the tags and put them in her pocket. She carefully placed everything into the bag before slinging it over her own back. Normally she would made the grunt carry it, but she didn't know much about him and she didn't trust his endurance over her own. "Let's get these filled up and we can leave." She took the canteens to bartender, had them filled, put them away and came back to the grunt, "Alright... ready?" She tightened the straps to keep the bag tight on her.

(It's alright. ^_^)

"Traveling of my own free will?" Alphonse answered with an arched brow before leaning back in his seat while looking upward thoughtfully. "Yeah, I kinda miss it. Besides, you see all kinds of interesting places when you're on your own and moving around freely without anything that's tying you down." He added with a shrug of his shoulder.

-----------------------------------

A nod of his head was all that Heishiro answered with as he then began to follow her from a distance away after he felt the bag being taken off of his person and watched with an arched eyebrow as she then put it on her own back. "Yeah, I'm set." Heishiro answered as he continued to follow her.

She nodded to his question and rest her arms on the table as she listened to him. It must have been so nice to explore the world with absolute freedom, except for political barriers and such. If you could do it again, would you?

___

Eve led him out of the town the same way that she came in. They kept walking and walking, going through the flatlands for about thirty minutes without a word from her until, "So, what other details did Deling give to you?" She looked back at him, blue eyes staring into the features of his face as if waiting for him to make a mistake.

"To be honest with you kid," Alphonse answered with an arched eyebrow and sighed before he shook his head. "I'd trade my SeeD rank in order to get back out on the road again. Besides, it's been getting... Well, kinda boring as of recently. Besides, it's getting so restricting as of recently. Not that I mind it, of course. Besides, it pays cash money." He added with a shrug of his shoulders again before turning his eyes up over to her thoughtfully.

-----------------------------------

In the thirty minutes that had passed, Heishiro was perfectly fine with her not talking to him. For in reality, there was another reason that he was out here all this way, but there was no way that he was going to tell her about it at the moment. Just not yet, anyway. When he finally heard her speak a moment later, Heishiro remained silent for a moment before he gave her his reply.

"That was all he said, Eve." He answered with a shake of his head. "He didn't say anything else beyond that."

Ishu nodded slowly to him. She knew why her father hired him and, honestly, she felt guilty for taking his freedom away. Of course, it wasn't her fault, but that didn't keep her from feeling that way, Well... if you ever want to go somewhere, we can. She smiled over at him, I haven't stepped off the Garden in... a long time anyway.

___

"...right." She looked away from him again and drank some water from the canteen. "How long have you been doing this work?" She had never heard of him before, but she hadn't been a free agent for a while, plus she wanted to know what she could-possibly-be dealing with.
