Grey Eagle understood Rain's concerns. It was good that she spoke them so openly. Rain just needed to believe that the Great Spirit had a plan and that plan would unfold when it should. She couldn't rush that plan, no one could. Rain needed to have faith in those the Great Spirit picked for this battle against evil. Her roll in this was to support and help those not taking part in the fight. Maria & George were among those who would need Rain to be there during the time when things looked bleak. In Rain's sadness, that was the image shown too her. This is what the Great Spirit wanted for Rain. She needed to be there at a dark moment in time. A moment when Maria & George would be alone. The Great Spirit couldn't allow them to be alone. Rain would be there to lift their spirits and keep them from falling into despair. Before leaving Grey Eagle told Rain the Great Spirit would show her the way. All she needed to do was open her heart and her mind.
 
Rain nodded and hugged the chief and kissed his cheek. Walking out, she felt revitalized and happy. She should count herself lucky she didn't have to go and fight a skin walked. Moving back to the house she made quick amends to everyone there, except Thomas who was still out with J.P.

She said how she was sorry and she never meant to act like the child she was. Jamie smiled and hugged her tightly and said all was forgiven and went to lay on the couch rubbing her own swollen belly. "Wolf, your child is constantly moving and never giving me a break." She looked at him and winked.
 
Rain was forgiven without another word being spoken. These bumps in the road of life were expected. No one held any hard feeling towards Rain. The conversation soon turned to Wolf & Jamie's baby. Wolf turned and walked towards the door. He slowly opened the door revealing a priest standing there. It was Father Mathew Price who Rain had met earlier. " I'm Father Mathew Price........Is this the Harper home? " Mathew said while wearing a smile. Wolf said it was the Harper home and opened the door. Mathew came inside and was greeted with seeing Rain again. He greeted the pretty girl with a pleasant hello.
 
Rain smiled and nodded a greeting. Jamie got up holding her stomach. Moving to Mathew she smiled. "Father Price, welcome to our home. I am Thomas harpers wife." She reached out and shook his hand and leaned back supporting her back with her hands. "Tell me, what brings you out here?" She smiled. Since he asked for harpers by name, and her desire to have always wanted to bed a priest, she would offer him a bed. Taking his hand, she lead him to a guest bedroom and began to dress the bed right in front of him.
 
Mathew never had the chance to even put his bags down and properly shake Jamie's hand. She damn near dragged the priest in an empty room. Mathew never met a woman like Jamie before. Watching Mathew, she realized that Mathew was not intersted. Looking down, she looked at her large stomach. Maybe he didn't get off on pregnant girls. She would have to send Maria later. George sucked his fingers as he watched Mathew. He knew he was different. Whenever Mathew tried to look at him, he would duck around the wall. This man was different from his father and the men at the fort but also different from the men of the indian village.
 
Mathew was different, in more ways then anyone could guess. Those close to Mathew didn't know his true background. Not even Mathew knew of his real parentage. A secret which would be hidden from him for many years to come. Mathew wasn't a normal priest. Sure, he could do all the things any normal priest could, but he also did more. The secret order which Mathew belonged too was a special one created by the church to deal with supernatural threats. Mathew was a hunter of those who stalked the night. Vampires, werewolves and other creatures came to fear the "Angels of Death." In the years to come. As Mathew's reputation would grow. The creatures of the night would come to fear him like humans fear the boogieman. Mathew didn't have to see the boy playing games by the door. He could hear George breathing, he could hear his heart beating. Mathew checked his bags and the case before he walked towards the door. So silent was Mathew, George was shocked when he popped around the corner and there stood the priest. Mathew knelt down, reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a silver coin. He gave the coin to George who smiled and ran off. This coin had a cross on one side and angel's wings on the other.

Later that afternoon, Thomas, J.P. and the troopers returned to the fort. They didn't want to be away from the fort during the night time hours. Thomas & J.P. entered the home to find Jamie, Rain and Wolf sitting in the living room talking with a priest. As the mistress of the house. It was Jamie's job to introduce Thomas & J.P. to their newest guest.
 
Jamie had gone out shopping and got the biggest bird and all the fixings. It was like an awkward Thanksgiving. She stood up seeing Thomas. She looked at Thomas and J.P.

Mathew rose up from his chair. He walked over shaking the hands of both Thomas & J.P. " It's a pleasure to meet you General Harper.........And you Marshal Wright. The daylight was fading quickly and soon Kreger would return.

Jamie looked at Mathew and smiled. "What are you going to do now that it is your prime hunting time?" She was fascinated with this hunter. Both with his job and the ability he showed to turn him away.
 
Mathew looked at Jamie when she asked her question. She was an inquisitive woman to be sure. Mathew said the one he was hunting, who went by the name Karl Kreger, wouldn't be far from where humans were. He said hunting in this case wouldn't be needed. Mathew was sure Kreger would come to him. The only thing Mathew couldn't be sure of was how many vampires Kreger already had and how many humans worked for him. Vampires often used humans to guard their resting placing during the daytime hours. Kreger wouldn't expose himself to a daytime attack. So there had to be at least one human working for him, possible more. J.P. commented on the sun almost being completely down. Thomas looked at the window. He knew there would be no fun with Jamie until this ended. It may drive Jamie crazy, but she always had Wolf. J.P. asked what the plan was for tonight. Last night didn't go well with Juan returning to the world of the living. Mathew said that he had taken care of the Apache girl. She wouldn't be coming back. The sliver placed in her heart would keep that from happening. Mathew excused himself from the table. He needed to get dressed for what was to come. J.P. & Thomas watched as Mathew left. Nether man knew what a priest would wear to kill a vampire. Thomas told Jamie that he wanted everyone to stay inside the house. She was to make sure all the doors and windows were locked. Thomas said he would have armed guards around the outside. He knew Jamie would make sure everyone was safe.
 
Thomas, J.P. & Jamie stood by the door. Wolf would stay inside the house helping to protect the family. Mathew soon appeared from his room. He was dressed in all black, from his shirt to his boots. He also wore a long black leather coat. Two twin swords could be seen crossing over his back.
" Are we ready gentlemen? " Mathew asked as he walked up to where the others stood. J.P. showed lighting speed as he pulled one of his pistols and twirled it before returning it to the holster. Thomas snapped on his belt with pistol & sword. He pulled the sword out long enough to check the sharpness. The sword was then slipped back inside the scabbard. Thomas then pulled Jamie into a long, deep kiss. J.P. & Mathew turned their heads. They commented on how hot the day had been. The moment was becoming uncomfortable when Thomas broke the kiss. J.P. tipped his hat to Jamie as he walked out the front door. Mathew smiled while bowing his head slightly. Thomas was the last to leave. The men walked outside, they stood on the porch looking out at the fort. The guards were moving around and all seemed peaceful.

Out behind the fort, Kreger appeared from the trees. He was followed by Juan, plus two others. Kreger stopped dead in his tracks. He could sense something. " He's here........I can tell he's here. " Kreger spoke in a German accent as he spoke. Juan looked at Kreger and questioned who was here. Kreger said Father Mathew Price. " He's been chasing me since I came to this country........I thought I'd lost him but it seems I underestimated him. " Juan didn't understand why a priest would be so much trouble. He was a new vampire and didn't know about the "Angels of Death", or what they could do. Kreger ordered his people back into the cover of the trees. The time ticked by until well passed midnight. Kreger and his people again appeared from the trees. The four unholy creatures climbed the rear wall of the fort and slipped inside. Kreger could still sense Mathew, but there was something else he could sense. A strong sexual presences. Vampires are very sexual creatures. Sex is just as much apart of their lives as feeding on blood. Kreger sent the others away. He was drawn to a large house in front of him. Kreger approached the rear part of the house. There didn't appear to be anyone moving around inside. The house was lit up though. Kreger moved from the backdoor around to the side. He slowly walked along the house looking into the dark bedrooms. Kreger came upon one room which was lit. Inside he spotted a pregnant woman. She was the source of this amazing sexual energy. It was quite powerful for a human. Vampires must feed on blood. It can be either human, or animal, but human blood is preferred. Vampires can be injured by holy water, crucifixes, garlic and silver. A cross does nothing against a vampire. It doesn't have the blessed image of Jesus on it. Vampires have a long life span as long as they stay away from the things that hurt, or kill them. Another rule was that vampires can't enter a dwelling without being invited by the head of the house. If the house was abandoned, that rule doesn't exist. These rules were handed down by God after Lilith, Adam's first wife was kicked out of Eden and turned into the first vampire. Despite having disadvantages, the vampires also have great powers. Agility, strength, speed, eyesight, hearing and heightened sense of smell were among these. Another was a powerful mind. Vampire could link their minds with others. They could send images and project their voices into people's heads. Those with a weak will could be controlled like puppets by a powerful master vampire. Right now, Kreger was reaching out with his mind. He was calling to Jamie to open hers. Kreger began sending erotic images into Jamie's mind. Images of her getting fucked by people close to her. Since the house was inside the fort, it was a single story structure. It would however seem strange for Thomas to behind the house and alone. Kreger beckoned for Jamie to come closer. He started speaking to her in an audible voice. It sounded like Thomas's voice. It looked like Thomas calling to Jamie. " Open the window my love.......Let me come in an ease your desires. " Kreger said in Thomas's voice. He could feel Jamie's heart beating. He could smell her sent even from outside. He could see the milk dripping from her nipples. Kreger wanted Jamie. He wanted to make her his for all time.
 
"Ohh honey...I want you to...come through the door. Knock on the door." She panted adn then moaned. Walking to the window she put her hands against the cooled glass and he could see her sweating. Kreger again told Jamie to open the window. He said moving around to the front door would take too long. They both needed release now. Kreger said it would be easier for Jamie to open the window and let him in. " Please my darling........Open the window. " Kreger pressed his hand against the window. His eyes stared deeply into Jamie's soul. Out front, Thomas, J.P. & Mathew moved around. Suddenly Mathew stopped. He began looking around. Something was wrong, very wrong. " They're here........They're inside the fort! " Mathew's words made Thomas & J.P. look around. All seemed normal, but these weren't normal nights. J.P. turned to ask Mathew how he knew, but Mathew was gone. He just seemed to disappear. A stunned J.P. informed Thomas that Mathew was gone. Thomas spun around and couldn't find the priest anywhere.

Mathew was already on the far side of the fort. He found one of the vampires feeding on a fallen soldier. Mathew leaped into action. He landed one the ground which made the vampire look up and hiss. The vampire jumped to his feet and lunged at Mathew. The unsuspecting vampire was caught by his throat in mid air. Mathew was holding him with one arm, up off the ground. With a show of great strength, Mathew tossed the vampire against the large trees used to build the walls of the fort. Mathew then pulled a silver stake from his long coat. He tossed the stake with such speed, the vampire couldn't dodge it. The sank deep into his chest. The vampire cried out in pain as his body caught fire and turned to ash. From another part of the fort, a soldier yelled at an intruder. Then a gunshot was heard. Thomas & J.P. ran to the sound of the shot. There they found a dead soldier, a vampire and a live soldier. That soldier was alive until his neck was snapped by the vampire. The vampire then turned his attention towards Thomas & J.P. Both men pulled their pistols and began firing. All 12 bullets from the two six shooters hit their mark. The vampire was thrown backwards and on to the ground. It rose up which stunned J.P. & Thomas. J.P. pulled his second pistol and unloaded it into the vampire. Again, it fall to the ground. J.P. placed each shot straight into it's head. " That'll keep it down. " J.P. said while twirling his pistol before placing back into the holster. Thomas looked on as the vampire rose again. It's head was filled with bullet holes, yet it wouldn't stay down. " I wouldn't bet on it! " Thomas's voice carried the shock which was also on his face.
 
Jamie nodded at her stupidity. She raised the window and sighed and looked into the eyes she thought were her Thomas. She groaned adn panted. "Come in and fuck me, please." She whispered adn reached out and stroked his face and blushed pulling back quickly and shivered. "Thomas, you are so cold...why is that?" She whispered and bit her lip pulling back and groaned shivering. "I want you, so much."
 
Thomas pulled his sword while the vampire J.P. just shot, rose up again. The creature hissed at them, but before it could attack, Mathew came from out of no where. He cut in front of his friends, tackling the vampire and plunging a silver stake in it's chest. The vampire cried out as it's body was consumed by fire. The body turned into ash, forming the body's shape on the ground. Mathew dusted himself off as he stood up. He raised his head into the air. There were two more around and one was close. Juan who had witnessed Mathew's attack on the other vampire. Quickly returned to the area behind the fort. He found Kreger at the window, but before Jamie could be taken. Juan appeared at the window, grabbing Kreger. This sudden appearance by someone else would shake Jamie from her haze. " The priest is coming!.......We must go! " Juan pulled Kreger by the arm, away from the window and towards the rear wall of the fort. Kreger couldn't believe how close he was to enjoying Jamie's body. To feel how alive she was. To taste her milk and to taste her blood. Kreger could have made her his. The two vampires started climbing the wall as Mathew, Thomas & J.P. came around the corner. Mathew let a silver stake fly from his hand. It struck Juan in the back. The stake landed in an area where it wouldn't cause death, but would cause pain. Juan launched himself over the top of the wall. He hit the ground hissing in pain. " It burns!........It burns! " The area around the stake was bubbling. There was also a loud sizzling sound like Juan's body was cooking. Kreger grabbed the stake and pulled it from Juan's body. Kreger & Juan made their way into the trees. Mathew climbed the wall as easily as the vampires had. J.P. remained down below, stunned at what Mathew could do. Thomas had climbed into Jamie's window to make sure she was alright.
 
Jamie was shaken out of it. She leaned back eyes wide looking into the face of the two vampires. She screamed loudly and tears began to roll down her face. She continued to scream clutching her stomach and tears rolled down her face. She did not see Kreger as just someone she didn't know, she saw Kreger as the man who killed her lovers so long ago. She continued to scream until her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest. Even then she continued to scream. She shivered sweat dripping off her body and she panted sobbing into the arms of Thomas. She was visibly shaken up. She leaned into his arms sobbing.

"He was here...I-I invited him in....I thought he was you." She choked out sobbing softly.
 
Wolf came into Jamie & Thomas's bedroom. He found Thomas holding Jamie in his arms. Wolf came over and knelt down near Jamie. He placed a hand onto her leg comforting her. J.P. remained out behind the house. He jerked his pistol and spun around after hearing a noise on the wall. It was Mathew coming back over. Kreger & Juan made their escape. They had a quick way out planned well. Mathew knew they were gone for now, but Kreger would return. J.P. & Mathew entered the house. They found Jamie still a bit worked up, but she was calming down. Rain was comforting George. Maria had helped to get Jamie dressed in something less revealing. They had guests after all. J.P. spoke of how this all seemed like a bad dream. He & Thomas put 18 bullets into one of Kreger's men and it still got up. Mathew said normal weapons were useless against vampires. J.P. sighed while shaking his head. Mathew said Kreger wouldn't return tonight. Not since he knew Mathew was around. Everyone moved into the living room for coffee. They sat around talking about what happened. Mathew believed Kreger would return the following night. He would return for Jamie. Thomas cursed out that he'd rip Kreger apart before he every touched Jamie.

The night continued and soon dawn came. J.P., Thomas, Mathew, Jamie & Wolf remained in the living room talking. Mathew came up with a plan to trap Kreger. It was a dangerous plan which relied on Jamie for it to work. Mathew wanted to use Jamie as bait to trap Kreger and end his nighttime activity. Thomas was against this plan. He didn't like the idea of using Jamie as bait. J.P. said the decision was Jamie's to make. The plan wouldn't work without her, so the choice was hers to make on whether the plan would go ahead. They all waited for Jamie to make up her mind.
