SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

“But you were only there because of me..!” He argued, finishing off her sutures. “Had it not been for me, you never would’ve been dragged into this mess..!”

She laid there quietly for a moment, and if he hadn't heard her heart thump in her chest, it would have been assumed that she died right there.
"Do you...not need me anymore...?" She asked quietly, voice tight.

Yukimura flinched at the question, shaking his head with wide eyes. “N-No, that isn’t what I meant! I just mean that you’re only hurt because you met me..!”

"But...I'm glad that I met you, Yukimura...you make me so happy..." She told him. Tears fell down the corners of her eyes and she smiled up at him, "No one...has ever made me so happy before...no one has ever cared about me so much...loved me so much as you do...I don't regret anything...you're always getting hurt because of me...please, let me carry some wounds, too...!" She started to cry weakly, "Share your burdens with me, Yukimura...! I love you too much for you to do everything on your own...! It hurts more than these injuries do...!"

His own tears overflowed when Akihime began to cry, overwhelmed by her words. “I’m a monster Akihime..! If I share my burdens I’ll only end up killing you..!” He could barely control himself any longer, his brain scrambled and his kakuja enhanced by Matsunaga’s tampering.

She shook her head, "Don't talk like that...! You're not a monster...! You're so kind to everyone...! You stretch yourself so thin for us and ask for so little in return...! I don't care if I die...! I'd do anything for you if it meant you'd be safe and happy, even if it cost me my life...! I'd let you devour me if it meant you'd keep living for everyone...!!"

“But I don’t want to eat you! I don’t want you to die! I want you to be happy and safe!” He shook his head. “I want to be safe and happy with you..!”

"Then don't say things like we shouldn't have met...!" She hiccuped, "I'm so glad that we met...! I'm so glad you kept me from killing myself...!"

He lowered his head, holding back his sobs, shaking his head. “I’m sorry! Please forgive me..! Please forgive me..!”

She hiccuped and coughed, now exhausted from wasting so much energy, "Of course...of course, I forgive you..." She muttered, "Let's get this knife out, ok...?"

He nodded, lifting his head and quickly wiping his tears away, muttering a soft apology. He grabbed the end of the blade, bracing against Akihime as he prepared to pull it out. “On the count of three.. one, two, three!” He yanked the blade out quickly and cleanly, wanting to minimize damage.

She jerked and wailed loudly in pain, falling lax against the couch, "S...Staunch the bleeding...apply gentle pressure...this will need stitches, too..." She instructed.

Yukimura did as Akihime instructed, his face still pale as he held pressure on her wound, her blood seeping through his fingers.

There was so much, and he was worried if the bleeding would ever stop, her breathing becoming shallow. Eventually, it did slow enough that he could start suturing it closed, her shirt having to be removed so he could get to it easier.
"How bad is it, doc...?" She asked with a tired smile, "Give it to me straight..."

“There’s damage to your shoulder..” He said with a frown. “I’ll repair it, but I’m not Amaya..”

She hummed, letting her eyes close gently, "I wish she were here...not that you aren't doing a fantastic job...but she would have a better idea..." She replied, "Thank you for taking care of me, Yukimura..."

Yukimura nodded, finishing up her sutures and wrapping her shoulder with gauze. “Of course.. it’s the least I can do to make up for what’s happened.” He said softly.

He laid his head carefully against her hand, squeezing her hand gently. “Please.. please don’t leave me.. I promise I’ll be useful to you.. so please stay..”

"The only way I'm leaving is if I'm in the ground, Yukimura...and I don't think I'm headed six feet under any time soon..." She told him softly, "Please, don't think like that...it hurts that you think so little of me..."

He nodded, shoulders sagging a bit as he held her hand close still. “I’m sorry, I won’t..” He promised.

She squeezed his hand gently in an attempt to ease him, trying her best not to fall asleep.

Sasuke had already begun digging and looking for Amaya, scouring the internet with a fine tooth comb.

Every forum and video sharing site had no sign of her. Not as food, not in porn, not in fighting rings. It was like last time- she had simply fallen off the face of the earth.
