Irlana was always different than others even when young she could understand them as toys to play with but not really as other people and this caused issues until she figured out the game - than she could play with them all she wanted.
She drove a wedge between her parents until they were both cheating on the other while staying in an unhappy marriage for the sake of there children, she turned her siblings against each other and messed with there friendships, she turned her friends against their parents, and other such behaviour, and all the time she sat and giggled as what she was doing, spreading lies and misinformation to see how they would develop.
Her abilities awoke when she was in her mid teens and suddenly she went from being an unseen nuisance that people could live with to being an unseen terror that people had no idea was in their midst, within a year the village pulled itself apart - fights lead to murders, families split up or moved away and she walked away from it to see about city life.
Here amongst humans was a paradise for her, she spend a long time training herself to be able to hide her developing womanly body as needed so she could act the human child and get the benefits of assumed innocence, but she also mixed with all types of society, robbing some and laying evidence and more importantly thoughts that it was another.
She also learned the joys of carnal behaviour and how it could be used to manipulate nearly anyone, she took a personal liking to women and would use her abilities to get other lovers out of the way - normally via a breakup, so she could comfort her new friend and see how far she could push their boundaries.
However she started to find everything too easy so started pushing against the city itself to see who she what would happen if some people changed how they behaved, she began to collect blackmail material, some real, some fabricated and spread stories about the behaviours of certain officials - including for fun deviant behaviour being undertaken by a paladin order.
It was this that lead to her downfall, a local paladin by the name of Pasara who she was attracted to and wanted to bring down as a toy began to notice the rumours about her and others in the city, began to see formerly decent people change behaviours and so she formed an investigative team to root out what she figured might be a hidden threat.
Whatever Irlana abilities she is not a mindreader at present and was woefully underprepared for a proper investigation, she was captured in fairly short order and tried for crimes against the community - there was no evidence of any serious crimes such as murder and so she was sentanced to a prison caravan for whoever ran to to figure out what to do with her and appropraite punishment - effectively exile from the city.
