for the main question....
i think thats about half the reason people RP such things, take me for example.
i role play every friday night around a table with my friends, tis D&d though, clean dungeon crawling goodness...
but that only covers so many desires a person has...
when you RP something adult you can explore all the other wants or curiosity's one might have.
and to acutally answer the main question... yes, if its good and the other sides getting a good reaction from it.

for that certain poster with the clipboard taking tally marks, i think its best when theirs a "Real" positive reaction on the other side, that really dose it.
