The city had been planning the market for weeks. In combination with a tournament in the amphitheatre, the largest slave market of the year was scheduled to run in congruence with an entire fortnight of events. It was one of the best places for Masters and owners to find the most exclusive of slaves; most of which would go for exorbitant amounts of money. The city was full of people, both free and slave.

A large wooden stage was set up in the centre of the square in front of the amphitheatre for the sale of the most exclusive slaves. These were the slaves that only the wealthiest of nobles could afford. They were the best fighters and the best trained house slaves and they were deemed to fetch the highest price. But first, the inspections.

Priscilla was lined up amongst about twenty other individuals, both male and female. All of the slaves in the line were dressed according to their gender. The males were dressed in a small leather loincloth across their hips, exposing their muscular chests as well as any battle scars they had suffered in the arenas. The more scars meant the more hardened the warrior and in return, the stronger. The women were dressed in short, linen dresses that moved straight down from their shoulders. A simple design, each woman's hair was pulled back into a braid that fell down their back, exposing the angles of their faces. Every slave was barefoot for the inspection as they each kept their eyes forward. Bowed heads were saved for the owners, not the inspections.

Priscilla had been born into slavery. Her mother was a house slave that had been taken by her Master and gave birth by him. Denying the child, her Master refused to care for the infant, forcing Priscilla's mother to sell the baby into slavery. Priscilla started after her infancy as a kitchen slave. She kept the fire going as the cook prepared the meals. She also ensured the hearth was clean as she was small enough to get into all the nooks of the stone hearths. Eventually, she rose up from the kitchen to be a servant slave. She served wine and food to the guests of her Master when they banqueted together. However, her Master decided that in order to maintain his group of gladiators, he was more than willing to forego house slaves in order to maintain his arena prowess and Priscilla had been one of the first to be sold to the auction.

Priscilla stood near the centre of the line of slaves, a large, muscular Nubian gladiator on her left and another woman on her right, this one a ginger haired, green eyed slave with brown freckles dotted across her nose and cheeks. Priscilla was unique as she had wavy, thick, golden blonde hair, pulled back in the same long braid that cascaded down the centre of her back. She also had eyes the pale blue of the shallow waters off the coast of Napoli. Her skin was white as alabaster stone and did not have any imperfections, despite her history as a kitchen slave. Her cheekbones sat high on her cheeks and her lips were full and pink, a sure sign of health.

Though she was raised into slavery, Priscilla possessed a rebellious streak. She was notorious for speaking her mind, her mouth sometimes running away with her, leaving her thoughts behind as she spoke without permission. As she stood in the line, the orders being to stare straight ahead, Priscilla had started obeying the orders, but had found as time dragged on, that her idleness was getting the best of her. Turning her head, she looked up and down the line of people that were to be put on the stage for sale, her eyes remaining on each one for but a moment before moving on. Not one of the other slaves acknowledged her gaze with one of their own. They were the best of the best and it showed!

Then the crowd erupted into jeers and quiet conversations as the auction began. The lower slaves were scattered about, some in chains, some merely hunched over as their heads bowed. They were the normal ones; slaves that would go to the lesser nobles for training or simple tasks. And then a group of men and women gathered at the end of the line. Priscilla couldn't help but watch as a very small group gathered, their clothes of the finest quality, their jewels glinting in the sunlight. Their hair perfectly curled and coiffed atop their heads as they held themselves high. Priscilla had never seen so many looking so wealthy in one place before.

Before she was found out about disobeying orders, she returned to her place staring straight ahead, awaiting the inspection.

Not every slave was a loyal, eager to please being that enjoyed their place and position. Not every back had been broken, and not every spirit had been crushed. It some ways, Aurelia felt an almost morbid sense of kin with the rows of barely clothed men and women on display. She was not a human, as her pointed ears proudly displayed, Aurelia was one of the old ones...someone who had lived during the foundation of their great empire and continued to see it prosper and grow. Her mind and intellect had not changed over the years like the aging of humans, and she held a respectful position within the Empire as a historian and sage.

And yet, she felt like a prisoner...because of her husband in some ways. It wasn't uncommon for it to happen, Elves did not always marry for a long winded love that would last the ages, it was more for practicality. They would have whirlwind romances with mortals whose lives always seemed so much more interesting and then they would die, but they would always have each other to cope with those losses, it was a strange relationship that humans rarely understood...and at times, Aurelia didn't understand it herself.

"You could be a little happier, this is for you after all," Cassius grunted faintly as Aurelia's blue eyes glanced over at him in mild displeasure, but she said nothing. This was a gift for her, but it sounded more like a reason for Cassius to leave her alone. Still, she would take small solace in the fact that it was her slave and not anyone elses. Which also meant most of them wouldn't suit her needs, most of them were scarred and ruined hunks of muscle...which while appealing, didn't suit her day to day tasks. No, she needed something more elegant...something proper.

"Thank you, Cassius," Aurelia said honestly, arm looping around his with an easy smile. "It will be nice to have the company around," she assured, as she walked with her handsome husband along the rows of slaves. Yes, all very appealing and attractive...but...

But she found one worth staring at, at least. A beautiful, blue-eyed woman with long hair. She shifted away from her husband and moved closer to the woman, her calloused fingers gripping Priscilla's chin to admire her features. "Open," she ordered. What was wrong with her for being so pretty? Did she have no teeth? Was she diseased? Who would toss this one out for any reason? Was she scarred?

Aurelia was no less intimidating than her husband for being an elf, her eyes were as blue as the woman she was staring at, her face settled into almost a near-frown constantly and her robes were little more than silk that kept together on a cord around her breasts and stomach. She was remarkably fit-looking, but Elves had many interests...and Auriela had found archery to be a welcome relief from her duties.

Priscilla remained still, her eyes focussed on one of the planks on the wooden stage as the various wealthy men and women strolled past. Because of her unique looks, many stopped before her, examining her body from many angles, staring at her skin, her eyes, her golden hair. It was something to which Priscilla had become accustomed to. The tanned skin and dark hair dominated many of the slaves both in her previous Master's home as well as at the auction.

So she remained still, obeying her orders as the small group of incredibly wealthy owners made their way down the line. Most of the men were handled much more; the strength of their bodies much more important than their looks and owners wanted to make sure their money was well spent. The woman were more ogled and examined from afar, establishing their use as household slaves, their obedience and looks paramount for much of their worth.

Priscilla was caught off guard when one of the pointed ear ones approached her without reservation. The slave's eyes widened slightly as she unceremoniously took hold of her chin, ordering her to open her mouth. Priscilla hadn't been touched by any of the other buyers and hadn't been to auction since she was an infant so her surprise was evident all over her face. Her head was tilted from side to side by the woman before her as she closely inspected her facial features. Then an order to open her mouth. Priscilla hesitated for but a moment before obeying the order. Opening her mouth revealed a full set of teeth behind her plump pink lips. Keeping her gaze forward kept Priscilla's gaze locked with the woman as she stood still, her hands still at her side as she held her mouth open for as long as the woman required.

Cassius watched with some mild amusement as Aurelia looked the woman over, her blue eyes sharp as daggers when she peered into her mouth and closed it for her. He didn't know if he should feel pity or not for the admittedly attractive servant girl as Aurelia's hands moved over her body, checking her jawline and moving her hands down to her throat as her gaze never lingered past her eyes, they were beautiful and reflective, but maybe that was just her appreciating a color she shared. More importantly, her eyes had live...true life, not some corpse propped up on a string. Whatever had caused this woman to regain such a spirit, she liked it. To say nothing of that...honest, innocent little ignorance she had. It was endearing, maybe Aurelia just had a like of young, stupid humans.

"This one," Aurelia decided after a moment, glancing back to Cassius. "I want this one."

"You do?" Cassius said with a curious cock of his head. "We're not even halfway down the line, love." More to the point, how was she so sure when she had barely examined her?

"I have seen enough scars and muscle from you, I want something softer." Although, the cursory hands on her shoulders spoke of less 'softness' and more 'practical daily muscle', which she actually also liked quite a bit. Yes, she was beautiful and appeared to have some kind of personality in those eyes, this would be better than some browbeaten dirt farmer who had bad luck. More to the point, this was for her...not for him.

"As you wish," Cassius chuckled. "And what is your reason for this one?"

"And why is it your concern?" Aurelia said back in irritation as she finally let go of her, Cassius could only laugh. She had a point there, didn't she? Nonetheless, they knew what they were here to buy and Aurelia glanced back at Priscilla while Cassius called the dealer over, they had to know the price to buy her when the auction started. She was curious to know why such a pure, pretty thing was up on an auction block.

Priscilla's mouth was pushed closed by the woman before her as her hand began to move down over her chin, to her neck maintaing the eye contact that Priscilla had begun. It was an intense look and that made Priscilla slightly uncomfortable yet curious at the same time. Her own eyes were what the philosopher's had called 'the windows to her soul'. Her emotions showed through her turquoise gaze. As the woman moved to her throat, Priscilla's eyes broke their gaze for but a moment to look down, trying to see where the woman was headed.

Their gaze remained locked as the other woman spoke, choosing Priscilla for herself. Then the protest came from the man the woman was with indicating that they hadn't finished looking at everyone yet. Priscilla once again broke the locked gaze to peer behind the woman as she spoke of muscle and scarring from him almost sarcastically. A look of confusion mixed with amusement flashed across her face, a smile tugging at the corners of the slave's lips but she managed to keep her smile in check and almost immediately returned to the blank expression she was meant to adopt.

Priscilla watched as the couple engaged in some witty banter between them before turning away from her, the woman glancing back once again at the blonde slave, calling for the auctioneer.

The tall lanky man wearing a linen sheath with leather belt and leather arm cuffs walked over to the couple at their beckoning. His black hair was sheared short and his skin was dirtied from being in the pits with the other lesser slaves for weeks, training and disciplining them.

"Good day to you sir...ma'am," he said as he approached, his head bowing slightly in greeting, before motioning to Priscilla "I see you have your eyes on that one? I must tell you, she is a rare species. Traded in for a gladiator. We haven't heard of any major misgivings in her past, she was born into this. The auction on her will start at 200 silver pieces but she'll go for much higher than that. The auction will start in a few moments, once of the rest of the inspections are complete."

"So be it," Aurelia said without much hesitation, much to Cassius' minor irritation as she headed off the line and he had no choice but to follow her with a light sigh. That was his wife for you: Never one to back down when she found something she wanted. "Then I will buy her at whatever price she is set as."

She also lacked some certain social graces that would have been less expensive on his pocketbook, Cassius cast a lazy glance back at the woman she seemed so interested in but said nothing of it. She was attractive, surely...but what exactly was so appealing to her that she would demand no price too great? And did she really have to say that outloud? He could already see the gold start to grow in the auctioneer. Just because they were well off didn't mean she had to flaunt it like that around these vultures!

Priscilla watched with curiosity as the woman left the inspection area without another look to any of the other slaves. However, the man she was with turned around and Priscilla quickly returned her gaze in front of her, staring at the wood of the stage before her. The slaver rubbed his hands together as he smirked at his newest prize. Yes, this blonde slave was more than likely to fund an extravagant lifestyle for many months.

The rest of the inspections went rather quickly as the wealthy elite then took their places in front of the stage. The auction was set to be done in the order the slaves were inspected. All of the slaves went for well over their starting bid because they were in fact the best of the best. Before long, it was Priscilla's turn. Climbing the stairs at the side of stage, Priscilla made her way to the centre. Turning around slowly in a circle, she kept her eyes forward but knew that the woman who claimed she would pay any price for the blonde slave was still in Priscilla's mind.

Her thoughts were distracted when the slaver marched up the stairs, greed flowing from his entire being as he began her auction.

"Do I hear 200 silver," he called out.

Pretty soon, the price for the blonde, blue eyes girl was out of silver pieces and into gold. Eventually, it was down to two buyers, the pointed ear woman and another man. The price was at 800 gold pieces.

"800!" the slaver called out the bid before the man pulled out of the race. Smiling greedily the slaver pointed towards the woman, "And we have a winner! Please come retrieve your prize!"

Priscilla was quickly shuffled off the stage to avoid any more bids. She was left standing to the side of the stage, waiting patiently for her new Domina to retrieve her conquest.

Eight hundred gold pieces, Cassius was less than amused at the turn of events but the slaver was all smiles and cheer as Aurelia moved to her new purchase, her hands absently adjusting her hair to make sure not a strand was out of place. Elves were fussy people, so they said...always making sure everything was presentable, but Aurelia's intentions were slightly less pure: she had lovely skin, honestly. Smooth to the touch, her hair was still healthy and silken almost. More to the point, she had hands of someone who wasn't afraid to work.

Good, she would have many uses, especially since her husband was often away tending to matters of the Empire.

"You will be one step behind me, not more, not less," Aurelia instructed. "You will address me as Madam unless otherwise told, your name is Priscilla, correct?"

Priscilla stood still as the woman who had 'chosen' her at the inspections approached. Her gaze remained straight ahead as she kept track of their movement towards her. The edges of her lips curled slightly into an unnoticeable smile at the sight of the male as he dealt with the payment. Surely, he hadn't expected to pay so much for a house slave. But, the slaver grinned like a cat who had eaten a pet bird as he greedily collected his own prize; 800 gold pieces was unheard of in the auction! He couldn't remember another slave being sold for so much.

Priscilla nodded her head at the first orders from her new Domina, understanding exactly what was expected of her.

"Yes, Madam," Priscilla replied to the question of her name, her eyes not meeting the elf's as she spoke out of submission to her status above Priscilla's slavery.

Aurelia's fingers tilted her chin up to look her in the face, her own expression faintly amused and curious all the same. How very well behaved, she was...and yet she could see the little fringes of mischief in her eyes.

"You are well taught," she complimented. "But I prefer if you look at me, so I can see those eyes more often." They were beautiful, vast expansive pools of ocean. She wasn't quite sure why she enjoyed them so much, perhaps it was vanity for her own eyes.

Cassius was making his way over with an irritated mutter, but he remained mostly quiet. This was for his wife, and his wife did deserve at least something to herself while he was away. Still, eight hundred gods forsaken silver? Priscilla better pray to every god who would listen that she was unblemished and clean of any disease, or else he would be recouping that money however he so chose.

Priscilla didn't resist as her new Domina took hold of her chin and lifted her gaze to match. Priscilla nodded slightly within the elfs grasp as she obeyed the order regarding her eyes.

"Yes Madam," she responded, keeping her gaze locked on the other's, but the woman's eyes before her were turquoise like the sea as well. It was then she heard someone grumbling behind her. She broke the matched gazes for but a moment as her eyes drifted to her side, curious about the voice and what they were saying. She couldn't make out any words and realizing she was disobeying her Mistress, Priscilla immediately returned her gaze to the elven Domina before her.

Aurelia smirked faintly at that, shifting her face closer just a little. "I think I'm going to like you..." she purred, before tugging her head to the side to release her grip. So focused and determined, and yet so curious about everything. "You are to serve me, not Cassius...he is not your concern, you listen to me, and only me."

"For eight hundred gold pieces, I would hope-" Cassius was going to pipe up, but Aurelia's gaze silenced him with a light grumble of irritation. When his wife was focused, she was focused...and that was simply going to be that. No doubt this conversation would continue tonight, and no doubt it would be unpleasant for the both of them.

Priscilla's eyes never left her Madam's as she purred about liking her. Priscilla released a breath that had caught in her throat about disobeying her new owner, a look of relief spreading across her face as her head was pulled to the side before the woman released her. Returning her head forward, Priscilla maintained eye contact, nodding at the assertion about who Priscilla belonged to; who she was to serve.

"Yes Madam," Priscilla responded, acknowledging only her Domina, not saying anything to the male who had accompanied her and was now complaining about the price of the slave. It truly was an exorbitant sum and Priscilla did not know how she could garner such riches for her sale.

Cassius let out a weary sigh, but that was that wasn't it? Fine, that was fine. This was for her, but he didn't think that sort of thing would be eight hundred gold pieces sort of personal. Whatever the case, they were already making their way home with a silently irritated Cassius in the lead. They were not the sort of people that lingered in the center of the city, oh no...they were walking to an estate outside of town.

"So, what is it you have done before?" Aurelia asked her newfound servant. "You have the hands of someone who has worked, but your skin is flawless," she purred. "untouched, almost."

Priscilla followed her new Domina obediently, keeping within the one step rule laid out within their first moment. The smile tugged at her lips again as the male sighed and walked with a gait that indicated his frustration, despite not saying a word. But Priscilla was quick to keep her amusement hidden as best she could lest she be punished for finding her new owners' feelings funny. Walking quickly, Priscilla answered Domina's questions honestly and quickly.

"I was a kitchen slave since I was a child, Madam," she revealed, explaining the roughened skin on her hands, "When I was developed, my Dominus moved me up to serving slave. I suppose he liked the way I looked to his guests. Thank you Madam."

"That much money for some pretty face to cook you food," Cassius muttered, but by now Aurelia had long since ignored his bickering. He wouldn't be around enough to care or wonder what they were doing at any rate. He was leaving tomorrow and Aurelia was going to take full advantage, what an infuriating man. Her nostrils flared faintly, but she said nothing but a heavy exhale through her nose as they reached the gates of their estate, where two men opened the wrought iron for them.

"I'm sorry your gift had a money limit," Aurelia muttered. "Next time, I'll choose something cheap." Idiot...

In any case, their estate was a sprawling collection of houses which mostly consisted of a library and other add-ons that made it feel less like an estate and more like a complex. They had a personal vineyard, a place for their gladiators (Cassius pet project) and her? Well, she and Cassius had never quite seen eye to eye, so she had a wing far and away from his ego and competency. There was once a time when she found him appealing, but those times wax and wane with the seasons, it seemed. Especially now, when all she wanted to do was to scream at him for being such a...ugh.

No matter, she had something to distract herself with now.

Priscilla wasn't sure what to make of the relationship between the couple who had purchased her. Though they seemed to be joined by marriage, their words and actions towards each other told of a different life. Priscilla contemplated the paradox before her all the way to the large gates leading into what the new slave assumed was her new home.

Walking quickly to keep up with the couple as they bickered and walked into the complex, the sprawling villa consisting of a variety of buildings, Priscilla remained silent, listening to their conversation as if she wasn't there. Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, the slave folded her fingers together in front of her.

As their conversation continued, Priscilla took the time to look around them. Examining the buildings, the complex was much larger than that of her previous Dominus. She hadn't seen so many buildings in one villa before in her life. She wondered if she would be a serving slave here as well, or perhaps something else.

Whatever the case was between the two of them, it wasn't important for Priscilla to know. What was blatantly clear was that Aurelia was upset, and that was made no more clear by swerving off the path to her own personal part of the estate. That man was nothing but a stubborn, inconsiderate pig who just kept trying to...ugh. She ran her fingers through her dark hair in irritation, sauntering smoothly up the steps.

As a sage of the people, her own quarters were adorned with countless scrolls in both latin and elvish. It seemed that she was surrounded by her work, and the well-trodden steps spoke of numerous visitors wishing to ask of her wisdom. A fine life, she supposed...but dull and unremarkable. She glanced back at Priscilla a moment, looking her over in thought.

"Disrobe," she said. "You have no need of clothes in my presence." She was beautiful, like artwork...and she wished to admire that artwork all the same. "And speak more, I do not need some silent ghost following me around."

Priscilla was caught off guard as the woman turned off quickly, her steps quickening as she abandoned the conversation with the man. The slave had to move quickly to keep up with her new Mistress, maintaining the one step rule that had been laid out before. She did, however, risk a glance back to the man left abandoned in the courtyard, before she returned her attention to her Mistress.

Padding quickly after her, Priscilla followed her up a set of well worn stone steps leading up into a large room filled to the brim with scrolls lining every wall. Priscilla looked up, her mouth dropping open at the sheer number of parchment rolls within one room. Resisting the urge to turn around and actually see the entire extent of the collection, Priscilla remained still, her hands folded in front of her as she admired the sight.

However, her attention was brought back to her Mistress abruptly with a curt demand to remove her clothing. Priscilla paused a moment, never having had to remove her clothing before in front of a Master. Her former Dominus had always given her some sort of robe or shift to wear when she was working. However, Priscilla had no choice, it was her Mistress's wish. Unlocking her fingers, the slave reached up and pulled the thick fabric covering her shoulders to the sides of her body before letting it go. The shapeless linen shift fell to the floor at her feet, brushing lightly over her small but pert breasts and down over her lithe body, over her slight hips before falling into a heap at her feet. Priscilla's skin was just as pale as that on her face and not marked by any scars other than the ones that adorned the palms of her hands. Her stomach was flat but not emaciated, her hips did not jut out from her body as bony masses. She appeared almost like one of the marble statues that were carved by expert sculptors of the perfect female forms.

However, Priscilla was not as comfortable as those women. Her hands immediately moved to cover the soft mound between her legs, returning to their folded position in front of her as she spoke.

"What do you wish me to speak of, Madam?" she asked, shuddering lightly at being so exposed as her cheeks reddened slightly.

Aurelia's eyes trailed down her body in easy appreciation as she moved closer, letting her fingers trail along her chin to tilt her head up. She was taller than the beautiful servant girl by a head or so, perhaps that was part of her appreciation of her flawless beauty, she liked staring down at her...she liked seeing everything exposed and the way she stood so demurely, even now. Her other hand, roamed across her chest freely, her palm pressing faintly against her breast in a possessive nature.

"Anything," Aurelia purred. "I see the waves crashing in your eyes, girl...I see the strength that you hide, I want to see all of it...everything." she murmured, drawing her fingers back along the breast to catch the nipple between her fingers and pinch together. She wanted to see every emotion on her face because she was tired of hiding her own. She wanted to see arousal, anger, embarassment...because she couldn't show it to Cassius, it wasn't proper for them to display their outrage in public and that had almost extended to home.

She had nothing but this woman to escape to, and she would take every advantage.

Priscilla didn't resist as her Madam ran her fingers along her jaw before pulling her head up to peer into her eyes, the crystal blue of the slave's irises glimmering in the pale light within the room. Her cheeks flushed pink as she stared up at the other woman, her head tilted back to allow her braided blonde hair to reach the small of her back. Then her eyes widened in surprise as she felt another hand moving over her chest, resting upon her breast, her fingers curled into the soft flesh.

Priscilla's eyes showed every emotion even if her face remained stoic. Their brightness betrayed any feeling the slave had and this was no different. Then as her Mistress spoke, her hand began to move once again, this time towards the centre of Priscilla's breast to take hold of her small nub, rubbing it between her fingers before pinching it hard. Priscilla's cheeks deepened from their pink flush to one of reddened embarrassment at being touched so intimately by her Madam. Having never been touched like that before, the slave shifted her weight from one of her feet to the other uncomfortably.

"I-I-," Priscilla stammered as the Madam spoke of wanting her to speak of anything, her mind swirling with the sudden attentions to her naked body.

"You're very beautiful," Aurelia purred tenderly, letting her hand slip away from her breast to trail down her stomach, her fingers slipping lower to glide underneath her clasped hands. "I could do this all day, and maybe I will...I like the way you look when I touch you, Priscilla." Nobody had touched her before, it seemed...she found that surprising. Then again, humans had strange needs and desires...how could you not touch something as lovely as her?

"Th-Thank you Madam," Priscilla replied to the purred compliment. Remaining unmoved, the slave's skin trembled beneath the elf's touch as her fingers abandoned her nipple in favour of the alabaster skin of her stomach sending shivers over Priscilla's whole body. It was true that the slave had never been touched before. Her former Dominus was far too preoccupied with his own glory in the arena than he was with any of the servant girls that poured him his wine on a daily basis.

The hand moved down, pushing its way to rest on Priscilla's mound behind her clasped hands. Priscilla inhaled sharply, her eyes widening at the new feeling as fingers found their way towards her womanhood as goosebumps began to form all over her pale skin.

"Come with me," Aurelia purred, her fingers slipping away as quickly as they came. "And put your hands to the sides, I want to see all of you." She was so wonderfully shy, wasn't she? She was going to have fun breaking that open, and hearing her sweet little moans. Maybe that would make her less angry and frustrated with her idiot husband, how could anyone be so petty over a gift for her, of all things?

Priscilla exhaled slowly as her Madam pulled her hand away from her exposed mound, not realizing she had been holding her breath. Nodding in acknowledgement, Priscilla moved her hands to her sides, completely exposing her sex to anyone who cared to look upon her form. Keeping her hands at her sides, she followed the elf obediently, ensuring to keep within one step behind her once again, her bare feet padding across the tiled floor of the villa.
