Et Servit Domina (Rania Lark x Broomhandle45)

"Good girl," Aurelia purred, kissing her forehead as she took the bow and shouldered the quiver without hesitation. It was one of her few stress releases that didn't require someone else...but it helped. As a sage, her days were spent around other people that were often far too ignorant to understand her talents...but humanity could be a short-sighted, if an attractive race of idiots. Nevertheless, she tilted her head for her servant to follow her out to the backyard where her archery targets lie.

"I trust you feel better?" Aurelia asked as she nocked an arrow to the bow and pulled her arm back. The muscles tightened beautifully, exposing her toned back as she let the arrow fly and hit just above center, slightly to the right.

"Thank you Mistress," Priscilla nodded as her Mistress took the bow and quiver from her without hesitation. She had guessed right and a slight smile crept up over her lips. Closing her eyes, Priscilla trembled slightly as her Mistress leaned in with a loving kiss on her forehead before walking away, beckoning Priscilla to follow.

Priscilla nodded and followed her Mistress back out into the large open courtyard. Standing a few steps behind the elf, the slave stood with her hands clasped in front of her stomach, rumpling the shift she wore beneath it as she watched her Mistress draw back the arrow and it immediately found its mark, nearly perfect.

"Yes, I feel much better Mistress," Priscilla replied before her jaw dropped open as the precise shot, "That was amazing!" She exclaimed in shock before she could stop herself.

"Everyone needs a hobby," Aurelia smirked, although she wouldn't lie and say that she didn't enjoy the reaction. "What about you, Priscilla?" she said, nocking another arrow and pulling the string back yet again. "Do you have something that interests you?" she said, letting another one fly. A little lower, and more towards the center. It was a satisfying hobby, archery...and it had so many practical applications that she could appreciate.

Priscilla nodded at her Mistress' claim that everyone needed a hobby. However, when asked about her interests, Priscilla had to pause. She had never thought about what she enjoyed; her life had been all about what her owner wanted of her. Not about what she wanted to do by herself. The was quite a long moment of silence after the second arrow screamed through the air to its mark as Priscilla contemplated her response.

"I enjoy..." she began before another silence invaded the courtyard. Staring up towards the sky, Priscilla thought of how to put her interests into words, "I enjoy being outside Mistress. I enjoy feeling the warm sun on my face and walking through the fields of farms as well as forests."

"Is that so?" Aurelia said easily, letting loose another arrow. "You're a woman of freedom, then...ironic," she smirked. "But adorable, I am familiar with that...many of the people who seek me for my wisdom often wish for the freedom I have," She settled another arrow and took aim, letting it fly as it stabbed deep into the targeted hay. At times, she wondered just how true that was. It wasn't as if she had free reign to do whatever she wished, far from it.

But she supposed it was better than what most people had.

"Is that freedom?" Priscilla asked absent-mindedly forgetting her Mistress' title as another arrow screamed through the air, hitting it's mark exactly in the centre of the hay bale, right next to the first one. Tilting her head to the side, Priscilla moved her hands back to her sides as her idle thoughts once again got the better of her mouth as she mused to herself.

"I never thought I would know what to do with freedom..." her voice was barely above a mumble as her eyes looked upwards towards the blue sky as the sun climbed up to its highest point, "I've only ever been able to run through the fields once..." and she was punished severely for it. Her owner thought it was an escape attempt and she was promptly given ten lashes. But the feeling of the smooth wheat, the dewy blades of grass never left the slave despite the harshness of the consequences.

"Would you like to?" Aurelia asked easily as she readied another arrow onto her bow, glancing at her servant with a faint smile. "Look outside the city walls, I mean...see the forests and the fields." It didn't bother her, perhaps it should have...or perhaps she was simply lacking in such earnest conversation that it didn't matter in the slightest. "I believe even a servant should understand the world around them, sometimes that gains new insight into their situation."

Priscilla's eyes grew wide at her Mistress' suggestion of actually returning to the fields and open spaces outside the walls of the Villa. She had never fathomed that she would actually be permitted to do it again; forever locking the experience in the annals of her memory. But this Mistress seemed unbothered by providing her new slave with another taste of 'freedom'. Lowering her head slightly, Priscilla returned her hands in front of her linen sheath and nodded her head slowly.

"I would truly love that, Mistress," she replied, "Thank you for giving me the opportunity."
