"How romantic." She swooned, "What about me were you thinking about?"

“Jah, you, lieben.” He said

She blushed and smiled, holding her cheek, "Me?"

“My loving wife.” He said almost flatly, looking over at her as he sat.

She tried to play it off like she hadn't, sitting across from him with a smile. "About what, if I may ask~?"

“Mmm yes, you can say that.” He said as he sat down. She could see it, outlined in almost excruciating detail.

She smiled lovingly, waiting for him to sit first before she did. "Lost in thought~?"

He was zoning out, full of rampant, delirious thoughts. It took him a moment to realize she was speaking to him, and he got up to head to the table, quickly tossing back the last of the tea before grabbing his ale.

"Dinner is ready, liebling." She called from the kitchen, setting the table with meat and vegetables.

He needed more, something deep in his psyche was biting, gnawing at his restraints.
