"As most of you know, we are a very secretive and quiet organization set up by the Armed Forces to produce finer soldiers. Now although our progress is slow, there is still progress. The super soldier gene that we are working on is going to be something amazing, something no other country's ever seen before. We have scientists, astronauts, astronomists, botanists, geologists, everyone and everything you can think of is being put into consideration for this one supplement. Lives will be saved by the thousands. One soldier... will be created from a chance of hundreds. That one solider, will then be cloned. Ten thousand times, over and over and over. We will have the strongest army any nation's ever seen. The 500 men we have gathered are from all over the globe. Failures at life, unlucky bastards, strung out crack-heads, drop outs, crooks sentenced to death. Let's face it... probably 350 of em are going to die before the gene gets in them. 100 of them will be killed by the gene, 48 will just survive the transition and perhaps.... perhaps two of them will inherit the right code. Of course when that happens, one will have to die, since we can't have to different super soldiers... that's asking for a war in itself. Let's bring the men into the labs."

Re: Experiment Gone Wrong ((Life on Mars with Atzura))

Ten years ago James Micheal had been living with his roommate in a two-bedroom apartment in one of the lesser parts of the city. They got aloung well enough, save for the day James found the others stash of narcotics and told the lowlife to beat it. There was a fight, and long story short his roommate ended up dead and James was busted for murder and drug possession, getting him put away for a long stretch of time.

James was just over 6 feet tall with broad shoulders and a good physique. He was muscular, having spent as much time as possible in prison working out and staying as strong as possible. What a ironic twist of fate that it was that desire that helped get him chosen in the first place. His black hair had been cut short for the experiment, giving him just one more thing to be angry about as he was wheeled in.

The last thing he remembered was getting a flu shot in the prison hospital and the next thing he knew he was strapped down by his arms, legs, chest, and head to a gurney being wheeled down a long, white hallway by two men with guns. He was dressed down to only a pair of white boxers, the rest of him being completely nude and leaving the tattoo "213" plainly visible on his right arm in big, bold letters. That was his new designation now, everything else had been stripped away.

He screamed into the gag they had fitted him with, cursing them out and struggling like a wild man for what little it did. He was only one of hundreds and he could see out of the corners of his eye others like him as they were taken into a large examining room. What the hell was this place?

"This is Jessica Lamus. The subjects have been tied or bound in one way or another. We are commencing the insertion of the super soldier gene. According to our projections, a number of them will die nearly immediately. Please stand by for results. Commencing proceedure in one minute."

The green haired scientist sat far away from the subjects, however, she was clearly visible, and clearly beautiful. "This operation is going to cost us a lot of money, are you sure you want to go through with this?"

Her supervisor nodded.

"Very well. "Guards. Start injecting them with the gene and get out of their way."

Re: Experiment Gone Wrong ((Life on Mars with Atzura))

James screamed into his gag at the sight of the guard approaching with the large needle. He could barely make out the sounds of the other subjects over his own, but one thing that did stand out to him was the sight of the green-haired scientist. She was the only thing that made him pause for a moment, the young beauty distracting him from the horror of his situation. That quickly changed to anger as he realized she was one of the people behind this operation. What was wrong with these people?!

The needle was thrust into his arm and he screamed bloody murder as he felt the burning liquid injected into his veins. The stuff worked quickly and seemed to be ripping him apart from the inside, turning his blood into acid and putting him through the worst pain of his life. His body jerked and contorted as the gene integrated itself into his system, every cell in his body slowly being forced to accept the gene in a blaze of agony.

Re: Experiment Gone Wrong ((Life on Mars with Atzura))

"The super soldier gene has been entered into the bodies of our subjects, four have already died." Said the green-haired scientist, watching without much emotion, but it didn't seem like she was enjoying it. Her voice came back on the loud speakers, as painful as the transition was, her voice was clear.

"To those of you who have survived, we have injected you with a drug which has a small chance of enhancing your performance as a human being in general. We will use whomever survives and clone them until the United States has an army of super soldiers. This will save many lives, and the lucky survivor will get to enjoy a life of fame as an international celebrity, age slower than average humans, extend their lifespan, find themselves doing things we regular humans can only dream of and eventually earn a medal directly from the United States International Security Department for your trouble. Most of you will die. Painfully. I apologize to you, but we had to collect the dirt off our streets and use you as lab mice. Most of you, surprisingly, have great genetic codes, which makes this testing very special. Your body will start to bulk if you are still alive, the drug can cause an auto immune super virus to spread in your blood, meaning that your body will most certainly kill itself. When this happens, you will feel your immune system killing your heart, lungs, kidneys and other vital organs. For the two of you that survive, your life is about to change drastically. You are the rats of our world. Losers, rapists, criminals, former thugs and troublemakers. The world won't miss you, but one of you... the world will love you."

The men around James were already convulsing, struggling to get free, one actually breaking out before his head caved in, no blood, no guts, just a big dent in his head, as he fell, dead.

Re: Experiment Gone Wrong ((Life on Mars with Atzura))

James screamed into his gag, pulling at his restraints as his muscles seemed to bulge out underneath his skin. Every fiber of his being was screaming out in agony but the one thing that kept him going, the one thing that kept his mind focused throughout all the hellfire was that voice.

At one time her voice could have been considered beautiful, hell, after being so long without a woman it was angelic, but they way she was speaking she was more like a hellspawn sent to torture him. Dregs of society?! Trash. WHO THE FUCK DID SHE THINK SHE WAS? This was his LIFE they were talking about, what FUCKING right did they have to use him as a guinea pig?! He practically roared into his gag and in one brief moment he felt stronger than he had every felt in his life. With one powerful pull one of his arm restraints gave aloung with his head restraints and he shot up like a bad out of hell. One of the guards ran over immediately but before he could do anything James had his hand around his throat, squeezing for all he was worth and turning the guards face from pink to blue in seconds.

Others rushed over, five large men having to grab him to hold him down enough to get in a tazer shock. James convulsed and hit the bed, unconscious but not dead.

Re: Experiment Gone Wrong ((Life on Mars with Atzura))

"Apply more strappings. The side effects aren't over yet. Of all the men we took in, about twenty are..." She paused, looking up at one of the monitors. "...eighteen are still alive. This one's got the most pop... no doubt. He has self control. The guard he choked was nearly killed, he won't be able to ever speak again, but his life will continue. The only other one to break free, died immediately. How is he?"

"He's unstable... his systems are battling each other to take control. I think we have one of your two winners right here."

Jessica glared at the tied down subject. "Keep an eye on him. Remember, only one of them will be able to continue. If it's going to be this one, I want him, very much alive."

The scientist began to walk, away from them, glancing back at her team and the subject several times, not paying attention and slipping on a wet substance on the ground.

The scientist groaned as she fell onto her rear, some of her team moving to help her up.

"Doctor Lamus!"
