Campus Craze! (Dante12590 x Fancy_Brat)

She felt a bit more at ease at his words, glad he wasn't going to make her do something embarrassing or anything. Her ears perked up slightly at his request, certainly not expecting such a request. Then again, it seemed like a simple enough request. It seemed like a way of thanks for showing him around the campus. "Hmm...well that's fine with me. I haven't eaten out in a while. Where shall we go then?" she asked, having caught her breath now.

"Well I'm still new to this area so tell me what's good around here." he said a little embarassed by his obvious lack in planning. "I figure anywhere will be fine since it'll just be nice to be eating with a friend." he said happily as he began stretching, "It seems that food always tastes better when you're in good company."

"Ha! That's true I suppose." Miranda wasn't exactly sure why, but she was feeling rather excited about this whole idea. She didn't really go out to eat with her usual group of friends, so this would certainly be something to look forward to. "Well, I do know this one place that is quite like an old-fashioned diner. I occasionally go there sometimes. They have a lot of good sandwiches and salads." she said, turning to face him completely now. "Would that be fine? It's a short walk from here."

Nikolai's eyes brightened at the idea of going to eat at a diner, "Yeah that sounds like a great idea I haven't had a good sandwich in forever." he said with a grin as he began walking towards the school gates with a large sense of anticipation. "It's just a sandwich but still I'm really excited... Wow I'm strange." he thought to himself as he continued walking and looked back seeing if she was still with him.

Miranda gave him a little smile in return before she started to follow him to the school gates. She was rather surprised and excited at how quickly they had started to get along. They had only just met, and they were already going to eat somewhere together. Of course, she wasn't exactly thinking of it as a date or anything. "Well, let's get going then." As they headed outside, she was surprised to see that there were still a few students around, pointing at them as they talked amongst themselves. She let out a nervous laugh before turning to Nikolai again. "We'll be there in a few minutes." she said, leading him through the streets. Soon, the diner had come into view, the sign reading "Marco's". "Here we are." she said, leading him to the doors. They have menus prepared for you on the table already, so you can try and find something while we wait.

Nikolai winked at her as he passed through the door, "Wow this place is really nice!" he said with building excitement as the smell of good food flowed through the air and the hustle and bustle of the restaurant seemed to add to the wonderful mood of the diner. He began searching through the menu as his appetite began to open up until he spotted what he wanted, "I haven't had a good Reuben sandwich since I can remember! I'm going to order it." he decided as he looked up at her, "What do you plan to get?" he asked curiously wondering about her tastes and what she liked to eat.

"Yup, and the service in really good too." She was also very entranced with the pleasant sights and smells present in the diner. She got a table for the two of them and she sat across from him, swinging her legs a bit. She looked at the menu, scanning through the options. She always tried to get something different each time. "Well, it's a strange little habit of mine, but I don't buy the same thing twice in a row. I'm always buying something different." she said, giving a shy shrug. "Well, I can try the Tuskan Chicken. It sounds good and doesn't cost too much either."

Nikolai nodded in agreement with her habit, "That sounds like a good plan it makes sure you don't ever miss out on anything." he commented as he sat back and relaxed, "Man I thought that my transition to this school was going to be really tough but you're making it a piece if cake thanks so much." he said in a grateful manner as the waitress came up to take their orders.

"Yup. I lot of people think I'm weird since I don't stick with one thing. I like to expand my choices though." she turned to the waitress as she came by, giving her the order. Even the waitress had an animal-like appearance, much like a fox. She gave them both a playful little look before she was off to retrieve their orders. "Well, it would be bad if you were clueless on your first day. I thought I'd might as well help you out. The academy is a big place, so it's easy to get lost if you don't know your way around."

"Yeah that's true I know that if our roles were flipped I would have helped you out too." he smiled as he looked around the restaurant, "Everyone is so happy and lively here I really wish everyone was like this. The old school I was at was a really cold place considering no one ever wanted to be friendly but here it's the total opposite it's crazy." he explained as he waved to a table of girls and they either winked at him or squealed with delight. "And also to think I would make such a great friend the first day is a little unexpected too."

"Ha..well, I suppose anyone would be kind enough to help you out if they took the time to do so." she said, giving him a nervous chuckle. "But really. you're school was like that? That sounds rough. Well, you don't have to worry about that here. I mean, there's very rarely any fights, and they aren't very serious from what I've seen." She could see the group of girls, recognizing some from school. "Well, I'm glad to have been of help to you." she said, turning slightly as the waitress came with their orders. She set the sandwiches in front of them, along with a glass of water for each of them. "Ah, here we go. It looks really good too!"

"No kidding!" he said eyeing his sandwich, "Well shall we dig in?" he asked as he picked up his sandwich and took a bite. His eyes went wide as the flavors if the cheese and the meat complemented each other perfectly. "This sandwich is incredible." he said in amazement as he finally swallowed all of his food and spoke up, "You'll need to get this one at some point." he insisted as he took another bite.

"Yes! Let's eat." she said, looking at her sandwich for a moment before picking it up. It certainly smelled good to her. She went to take a bite, suddenly reeling back a bit as she tried to fan at her mouth. "Ah..! It's kinda spicy!" she said, taking a small sip of her water. Her ears flattened a bit against her head out of embarrassment. Her reaction to spicy food was always priceless to her friends, and she tried not to react so much to it. "I didn't think it would be like this. But it's not bad at all." she said, giggling softly.

Nikolai couldn't help but laugh at her somewhat extreme reaction to her food as she began fanning her mouth, "You okay? There's a fire hydrant outside I can crack it open if need be." he teased as he offered her a bite of his, "Here try this it's not spicy at all. At least it won't like you're going to burst into flames when you eat it." he laughed again as he looked aroud at the restaurant and spotted their waitress staring at them.

Miranda stuck her tongue out a bit at his teasing, finally cooling herself down as she sat back. She blushed, slightly embarrassed as the waitress stared at them, mainly her, but she quickly went back to work. "Geez, it's not that bad!" she said, chuckling at how he over exaggerated it. She leaned in slightly to take a bite of the sandwich, sighing happily as she swallowed. "Ah, that was good. I definitely will get this when I get back. Of course, I have to finish this first." she said, holding up the sandwich again. If it continued like her first reaction, she'd never finish.

Nikolai grinned as she held up the sandwich, "Hold on let get the fire department on the line before you take another bite!" he said in a mock serious tone as he pulled out his cell phone for added effect. He laughed as he took another bite of his own sandwich and looked up at her again, "I'm having a great time here with you to be honest. I can't remember the last time I shared so many laughs with such a nice, pretty girl." he told her happily as a small blush crept on his face.

Miranda reached over to gently slap him on the shoulder as he continued teasing her. She couldn't believe he was going so far with the joke, but she couldn't help but laugh herself about her own little incident. "I'm having a great time too. I never thought just going to dinner would be so fun." She couldn't help but blush slightly at his comment. She didn't think she would find herself like this around him, but she couldn't help but feel extremely happy around him.

Nikolai finally finished off his sandwich and asked the waitress for the check making sure that he paid for both of their meals since he had invited her out to eat with him. "Hey whenever you're ready we can head out it's starting to get a little dark so I figure I best make sure you get home before it gets too late." he suggested as he waited for her to finish eating and to tell him that she was ready.

Miranda had continued to eat her sandwich, not reacting as much with each bite. She was slowly starting to get used to it, but she never really was immune to spicy food. She finished her sandwich and perhaps a couple refills of water. "Well, I guess we should. I can probably still get in a bit of study time with my friend. She's always up late anyway." she said, standing up from her seat. "I actually use the dorms right now, room 102."

"Alright Miranda well then let me walk you to your dorm at least." he said as he opened the door for her as the cool night air greeted them, "Wow the evenings are so nice out here." he commented as leaves swirled around them and the street lights began to flicker on with a gentle hum. "Alright which way do we go from here?" he asked as he stood by her side.

As they stepped outside into the cold, she shivered slightly, but it wasn't too serious. It was enough for her to endure. "Yeah they are. I usually find myself outside just staring up at the sky. It's quite an entrancing sight wouldn't you say?" She started to walk with him in the direction of the school, turning just before they reached the school. The large dorm building could be seen getting closer as they walked, and Miranda could picture her friend waiting for her. They finally stopped just outside the doors to the dorm and she turned to face him, a little smile on her face. "I really had fun. Thank you for the dinner too. I feel like I should have treated you to dinner though." she said with a little giggle.

"It was no problem the pleasure was all mine." he said as he momentarily stopped, "Um I know it's late but can I make one final request please?" he asked as he took her hand and led her under on if the street lights. He carefully dug in his pocket and pulled out a red collar, "When I first arrived here the headmaster gave this to me and told me to give it to someone special." he blushed slightly feeling a bit shy but continued on, "You were my first friend here on campus and the first person who took the time to talk to me rather than stare at me so... I want you to have this. Will you accept it?" he asked as he unclipped the collar and waited for her answer and hoped that she would allow him to clip the collar around her neck.

Miranda chuckled slightly as he spoke. "Well, I hope I'll be able to pay you back somehow. I'd feel bad knowing you paid my meal for me." She tilted her head slightly, clearly confused as to what his request was. She followed after him, finding themselves in the light of a lone street lamp. She was left to wonder what exactly his request would be, though after he pulled the collar out of his pocket, her heart seemed to skip a beat. I-is he really...? A slight blush appeared on her face as as she listened to him, knowing of course the significance of a human giving a student the collar. She paused for what seemed like forever, a shy look on her face. "W-well...I don't know why it is, but I certainly feel very happy around you." she said, finally looking up to meet his gaze. "If you are fine with me, then I will accept." she said, trying her best not to stutter. Her blush had deepened to a dark crimson as she waited for him to clip the collar around her neck.

Nikolai smiled as he slowly put the collar around her neck and clipped it, "I'm so glad that I met you and that I was able to share this moment with you. I would not trade you for anyone else in the world." he said as his blush grew and he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight embrace. As she got close to him the bell rang out in a beautiful tone as he smiled, "This was meant to be." he thought as they stood alone under that single street lamp.

As soon as the collar had clipped around her neck, it had solidified her new life, a life devoted to loving and serving him. Her eyes widened with surprise as he brought her into the embrace, feeling his chest against her face. Ah..what is it? This feeling? So warm... Her blush had softened a bit, and she let herself rest against him, enjoying the moment perhaps as much as he was. She smiled brightly at the ring of the bell, finding the sound very beautiful.
