Lost and found (Master Blaster x Sweet_Bella)

Unlike Neo, Michael had a harder time sleeping. He didn't trust the stranger in his living room. He was a little happy when he woke up the next morning and walked into the kitchen. He fixed a pot of coffee then turned walked to the living room but he stopped in his tracks at what he saw. "What are you still doing here?", he asked Neo. "You're supposed to be gone.".

Neo on the other hand barely heard the other. He knew someone was talking to him, but that was it. Slowly did he sat up, trembling while doing so. It felt like his head was going to explode for each movement he did. It had been ages since he caught a fever like this. Neo looked up the man. His green eyes where unfocused and gloosy. Neo let out a tiny whimper.

Michael could tell something was wrong with Neo. "What's wrong? Are you sick?", he asked. He sighed and threw his hands in the air. "I should've known that you were carrying something. Let me go find something.", he said as he stomped off to look for medicine.

He just nodded weakly and laid down again. There was no way he could get up without passing out. Neo let out a soft sigh and closed his eyes again. He was filled with shame. First did he ruin buckets of paint and now he couldn't even leave if he had wanted. Oh he was causing so much trouble for the man. Neo moved his tail up front and hug it. If he only had stayed out there so would he had never been in this state to begin with...

Michael returned holding various bottles and handed them to him. "I don't get sick much and I don't know what you have so just take what you think is necessary.", he said. He walked to the kitchen and came back with a cup of tea. "Here. For the medicine.".

Neo looked at all the bottles that where in the table. He had no idea what he needed. Usually his owner gave him everything and Neo didn't ask what it was. So Neo smiled up at the man.
"It is just some fever, master. I will be fine..." Neo looked at the cup. "Oh, you never gives me something other then water." He rose an eyebrow. "I will drink later, okay?"

Why was it so hard to concentrate. Neo could hear himself say things to a complete stranger and yet his mouth didn't seem to want to stop. The young neko looked up at the man, smiling.
"Master, can we snuggle up like we used to do when you got ill?"

Michael gave the neko a confused look and took a couple steps back. "Woah what's with all this calling me master?". He raised his hands up. "And you can forget about snuggling, there is no way I am going to let you give me whatever is making you sick like this.".

Neo closed his eyes again with a soft promise that he would be a good boy. The fever was bad for him. Making him confused. Neo laid on his side and was soon sleeping deep once more.

Michael sighed and shook his head. He didn't have work today but he also didn't want to leave the house alone with the sick neko. He decided to stay and watch TV so he could keep an eye on him.

Neo slept for a few hours longer and when he woke up again did he felt a bit strange. It took him a few seconds to remember last night. He moved to sit up. The fever was not gone, but it was not as high anymore. Neo moved his tail in front if him. His fingers tried to work out the knots that had got there through the sleep. Neo turned his head. Careful looking at the man.
"I am sorry for everything, sir." He spoke low.

"better, sir. The fever is soon gone I hope." He rose up slowly. Walking to the bathroom with a small limb. Neo tried to not overthink it too much. He was going to leave soon anyway. Neo was supposed to leave hours ago and he knew he had lost a lot of day light. He went inside the bathroom and looked at his clothes. The paint had made them stiff. Could he still use them? They would have to do. Neo didn't dared ask of anything else. The house owner had been so kind to let him stay in the first place.

Michael walked to the bathroom to check on Neo. "Are you okay? You're still a little sick and I didn't want you to fall and mess something else up or whatever.".

Neo turned to look at the man. He had started to feel guilty again over the whole mess he had created. Now there was even some paint on the bathroom floor that had been dripping from his clothes. He would have to make it up for the man. Neo bite his lip. He would have to ask or he would have to leave. The thought of going back outside was not appealing at all.
"I can work for you..." Neo offered. "please. I want to make up for the mess I created. I do anything you want. Even warm your bed if that would let me stay a bit longer. Please, sir."

"Work for me?", Michael asked. "But I have no way of paying you.". He scratched his head. "And if you could work, why were you homeless in the first place?". He was starting to feel a bit sorry for the neko. The way he kept apologizing for everything and acting like a burden started to affect Michael.

"Yes. Oh you don't have to pay me. I would be fine if I just got some food each day." Neo tilted her head and looked a bit confused at the man. "I am a neko, sir. We are not really counted as humans but as pets and so we don't have a social number like yourself, sir." He moved a bit and rather effective avoided the question why he was out there to being with. "I can make dinner... I can clean and do laundry. You wouldn't have to worry about anything."

Michael rubbed his chin and thought to himself for a moment. The neko didn't have a place to go, and he was desperate to point that he would act like a maid to have a place to live. It would be rather mean of Michael if he were to still try to kick him out now. "What's your name?", he asked.

"Neo"
He couldn't help but get his hopes up. Did this meant he could stay another night?
"I promise that I will be good. You won't even notice that I am here. Will you please let me stay a second night at least?"

"We'll have to get you some new clothes.", Michael said. He walked away then came back holding a pair of sweatpants and an old tee. "It's not much, but your old ones look like they'll fall apart any minute.", he said as he held them out to Neo.

Neo looked at the clothes. It didn't matter that they would be ill fitting. They was whole, clean and warm. Neo took them and put them on right away.
"thank you so much!"

Michael watched with surprise as Neo changed clothes right in front of him. "I wasn't expecting that.", he said. "I was thinking that you'd want some privacy first.".

Neo looked up at the other, blinking slowly. Privacy was something he had rarely had so it did not bother him too much. Neo smiled anyway and hung up the towel he had been using. He swift his weight to his other good foot and sneezed a few times. Perhaps it was a bad idea to be standing? He felt a bit strange... Dizzy and a bit unsteady. Neo looked at the man.
"Does this mean you let me stay another night here?" Neo felt hopeful. Maybe the man would even let him stay here longer than that as well.

"Well you don't have any other place to stay.", Michael said. "And if you're going to be working for me, it would only make sense for you to stay with me.".

"I promise that you won't regret it, sir." Neo hoped he would be able to stay true to his words. "Just tell me what do you want me to do and when. You will be so happy with this." His tail moved happily from side to side

"You're still sick so you shouldn't be moving around a lot.", Michael said. "Why don't you lay back down and I'll take care of everything for now?".
